I think that Tigurius is the most powerful because he is the one of the most powerful psykers in the Imperium, but I wonder since Kharn has mark of Khorne which protects him from psychic powers could the mark be overcome with sufficient psychic power?
Is Ahriman powerful as Tigurius?

Ahriman (and all the other chaos lords) should be the most powerful, but GW can't match rules to background to save their lives so...

Intersting question havent read alot...well in fact nothing on Tigirius all i can say is in no way does Ahriman gamewise compare storywise. Yes he has access to all powers minus nurgles rot and fzorgle but i think he is far more devastating in fluff than the measly powers he has in the game.

Exactly.
It really bugs me that Cassius is tougher than Typhus, the Herald of Nurgle too. Would it have killed them to give him Eternal Warrior?

In terms of political power though, Calgar has got to be the most impressive.

+1.

The closest Astartes to a Grey Knight that could be an equal match, if not better are the Adeptus Custodes. The only drawback is there are no recorded psyker Custodes.

The Traitor Legions would have more powerful members than the loyalists. I'd say Ahriman, Abbadon, and Kharn are all very powerful, and older than any living space marine (except dreadnoughts).

Of the Loyalists, Dante being one of the oldest space marines alive is likely one of the most powerful, and I would rank Logan Grimnar up there with him.

+1 to GK Grand Master(flash?) for loyalists.

If we're talking toughest Loyalist Psyker, my vote would go to Njal. He's the master psyker basically and can control weather to kill people. That's some big shet right thar.

Non-Psyker Loyalist goes to either Calgar or Logan Grimnar as well. I mean, while Calgar is a force, I'd say Grimnar's sheer amazing battle-fury makes him more than a match for Calgar.

Traitor Psyker is no competition. Ahriman all the way.

And then Traitor Non-Psyker obviously goes to Abaddon. Gotta remember that he's the only one that every Chaos God be loving like they do.

"From the fires of Betrayal unto the blood of revenge we bring the name of Lorgar, the Bearer of the Word, the favored Son of Chaos, all praise be given to him. From those that would not heed we offer praise to those who do, that they might turn their gaze our way and gift us with the Boon of Pain, to turn the Galaxy red with the blood, and feed the hunger of the Gods."

I think it's stated under his entry that Tigurius is the most powerful psyker in the Imperium (which sucks for the Emperor I guess?).

Also, there are no psyker custodes? I thought they were all psykers.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

He's the most powerful "that isn't The Emperor."

And I'm trying to remember if the custodes in Tales from the Heresy were psykers or not...

Any Grey Knight Grand Master would be up for nomination. They're the most skilled, best equipped, and most powerful psykers in the imperium. Going toe-to-toe with Greater Daemons is all in a day's work for them, and the forces of Chaos feel fear when in their presence.

Going by fluff, a GKGM would eat any marine alive.

Well what are we rating them on, fluff or rules?

So Traitor Normal > Abbadon
Traitor Psyk> Ahrimen

Normal> Calgar (he has a mini empire dude)
Psyker Normal> Mepheston, blessed by Sangarious himself and the only Blood Angel to ever beat the Red Thirst and Black Rage.

Well they wouldn't be dedicated psykers in the sense that a Librarian is. They would just universally have psychic abilities, in addition to their other traits (I believe this is already the case for the Gray Knights).

I'm pretty sure all combat ready Grey Knights are, at least in the fluff, psykers on equivalent level to Librarians.

I don't recall custodes being psykers. It doesnt really make sense for them to be since there should have been NO imperial sanctioned psykers pre heresy, they were banned werent they? Especially not close to terra and the emperor.

Only poor Magnus and his thousand sons practised in seclusion and look where that led them, tried to help Horus and he got dobbed in.

Psykers came back only when the heresy started, and fluff wise a lot of marines and high functionaries still distrust them.

back OT

Mephiston, Calgar and Grimnar for the imperium. Ahriman and Abbadon for the traitors.

Actually, no. The Council of Nikaea only banned sorcery (trafficking with powers of the warp and such), not psykery of any form. They used Navigators and Astropaths during the great crusade in the same manner that they do now, and as Librarians were present at the council they must have existed as well.

Ahh wouldn't Lucius the eternal be the strongest as he can't really die in a sense. Also some Primarchs could still be alive like Vulkan, and they are almost as good as the emperor.
