I'm slowly drybrushing my Shipwreck and going to start working on my New roman temple for armies on parade. I gotta work on my thralls for my idoneth, but now that I don't need them for a tourney my want to do something not an eel is quickly waning

I have to build some trees/AoS suitable terrain for my new table. The plan is;

Trees etc tonight.
Some hills tomorrow.
Some buildings/ruins Thur/Fri.
Run the sweeper & dust on Sat.

I bought a Morathi. Half assembled. If only this weather would balance out so I can get some basecoat down.

Bought a start collecting Idoneth box for my first ever foray into AOS, hope I get the time to assemble them before lockdown ends for everyone else and I can get games in.

I recently just finished the last model for my Spiderfang army (around 2000pts depending on Battalions and Endless Spells). Now I just have to wait to get them on the table. Going to need to work on a display board next.

Well I was going to start on my Fimir, then realised they had gone from the Forgeworld website (at least UK one).

I'm very out of the loop, though, I expect they went a long time ago and I just haven't paid attention?

Does that mean the Fimir that were sighted a while back at one of the Warhammer Fests (or some such event) are no longer being worked on?





Here's hoping for something in the future. Although I know they are not necessarily a popular race.

I’ve got all season 1 of Underworlds, or a load of stuff from Mortal Realms. Even my old fantasy squares I could work on a bit..

Worked on an Arkhan the Black conversion. With Mannfred soon getting done, all five mortarchs can be fielded at the same time!

It was definitely a project they tried, but abandoned for one reason or another. I wouldn't expect anything based on Fimir to come out. Forge World is focused on specialist games, more than creating content for the Games Workshop tentpole games.

Honestly, I think that they're just doing more Horus heresy stuff, which feels like the majority of their focus is outside of specialist games.

I will say I finally started casting my Hirst Molds, and I think I am addicted now. I made two roman pillars and some blocks, and now I want more.

Update on the thing I announced way back in December/January (since I posted in this thread). PayPal never helped me with the counterfeit Varanguard models, but my bank did. Got the money returned, tossed the recast models and managed to score some legitimate ones off of Facebook barter groups (For less than the recasts, even). I officially have my 9 now, so my full Everchosen army is set, ready for paint:

I am still working on a hirst art roman temple , creating my own mini temple that will be for an elemental spirit / shrine to an elven hero, and I will soon create the larger one for the actual temple.

Got the "Aether War" box by accident. Seems like fate wants me to do something AoS at last. Let's see where this goes...

Finished the mighty Kharibdyss! Loved painting this, but kept painting and repainting sections using different techniques, and finally had to move on.

I love how deep the sculpted plates are on these plastic models, so it really has amazing textures to work with. After struggling to make the dark blue work on the back, I realized that using a light blue, not a shade wash, made the individual plates stand out so much better.

On to the corsairs!

The Call of the Everchosen has been heard (How quickly they rally depends entirely on my procrastination level..)

Assuming I find the time, because life is currently absolute chaos in the worst way, I ordered a Darkoath Queen and plan to use a Chaos Knight shield (with daemon face), Varanguard spear, Possessed wings and the back head piece of a Bloodletter to create a custom Valkia the Bloody. Cloven hooves might require sculpting. Will post when done. Not buying that ugly resin PoS.

Been slowly working on my Nurgle Blightking army. Starting my 13week furlough from work today, so progress may speed up a bit.

A whole bunch of age old Goblins (& a few orcs) are getting closer to hitting the tabletop. The goal is early June....
Spent last night painting up a freshly stripped Leadbelcher - a goblin organ gun from 3rd ed. (we'll give it dwarf organ gun stats & pts + goblin crew when the time comes)

I’m going terrain crazy in preparation for armies on parade. I already built a small Hirst arts temple, and I plan on building a larger one, a hill for it to stand on, and winding road that goes to it. Hopefully I can finish all my Lumineth in time, assuming they come out soon,

Anyways, using the miscast template I managed to build an elven Waystones out of cardboard, and been working on it to be an objective marker for my army, or as a piece of scatter terrain / scene for my diarama.

That, and I have been working on building my foamcore skills up by tracing a Hysh symbol and painting it, all in order to practice for my big temple. Plus, I finally figured out how flocking works, and managed to do some pretty cool work on the Waystones to keep it from being yet another gray block.

Finished Gotrek as the final entry in our local painting challenge.

In addition to my Leadbelcher I'm now 1/3 of the way through painting the goblin hoard. 101 goblins painted up between 5/10-5/17.

While it's not strictly an AoS thing, I recently finishing up the first piece of an order from Tabletop World. Their "Ruined House" model. Got another two large models from them, a house and a windmill, and a smaller mausoleum and assorted tombstones up next.

Another house piece from Tabletop World finished.

I placed a big order from Raging Heroes a couple of days ago to start a Daughters of Khaine army. The minis look nicer and the total came to $200 less than GW. That said, they are a bit, *ahem*, NSFW, so no pics here I'm afraid. It should keep me sane for a while once the box arrives.

3 Tzaangor Enlightening, and a head-swapped Magister on Disk, since I wanted a Tzaangor Shaman instead.

I like the head swap!

But man, after painting 15 of those guys I never want to paint a single one ever again.

I only intend to pain 6, for now. Mounted models are always such a drain on my motivation to paint, I'm glad I'm getting them done for this army first.
