Friendly reminder that Lucius has indeed died from a landmine at one point, but was able to regrow inside the factorum worker who did made the mine, because he was the one person in the history of mankind to take pride in menial work. Lucius would be gone if that guy didn't take such pride in what he did. (Probably not, but still)

But, in recent lore, GW has made it clear Lucius' immortality is starting to break. The voices in the armor are becoming stronger and it's harder and harder for him to come back from the grave every time. Lucius may eventually be killed. Just not in the foreseeable future.

Regarding the Bile-face, I think if you trim down the nose at the sides, so it no longer looks like the prosthetic Ian Mckellan wore for the LOTR films, then build it back up to look more pointed and hawk-like and I think it will look much better.

I'm not a particularly talented sculptor, but I want to have a crack at that. If that fails, head-swap.

That face is entirely necessary. He's rocking that ratio, so you need something to direct your mind back to the game, and off his bodacious bod.

People uncertain about power armour not fitting to the wearer, isn’t Arteficer armour a thing? Dante’s is sculpted like muscle and shapes differently.
Not to mention this is a tabletop battle game with toys that are meant to look cool and characterful over any kind of realistic laws.

Lucis being killed by a necron warrior would be a "permadeath" but yeah slaaanish can just cheat

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

I don't know when it was written, but necron warriors do take pleasure, even the ones that technically shouldn't. Like the one that stomped on a Cadian's leg who had damaged him with a plasma gun.

Or that Duelist Necron that killed Lucius that one time.

An alternative head sculpt would be cool, and sorta fluffy... but his Clone bodies start to deteriorate and age quite rapidly.

I enjoyed the Primogenitor books quite well. Hopefully we get some Beastmen to add to Biles retinue.

I've never thought Bile would be dumb enough to not wear a helmet on the battlefield anyway

He does though. He's described as wearing a helmet multiple times in the novels, though it is never described in its appearance. I always imagined it to look something like a surgeon's mask, with various optical arrays over it, a bit like the GK Termie Apothecary helmet.
Yes, that is what I was saying. I am saying he is smart enough to wear a helmet (and thus not dumb enough to not wear one).

Does a helmet really matter? He can't die without an incredible amount of effort. Hell, it's easier to kill Lucius.

I wounldn't use Lucius as a example.

I would. I didn't pick him at random. Lucius is killed by any landmine, bombardment or slippery rocks he gets too close to. To kill Fabius you need to kill him, the Apothecaries in the Consortium, his New Men and destroy his ship and labs. Plus if he gets desperate Fabius can send Primarch clones at you.

Plenty of guys can die from landmine, bombardment or slippery rocks, not just Lucius. If space marine can die from those things anyway.

Main problem is actually staying dead.

I'd actually enjoy seeing a story where a lump of rock kills Lucius and it's the only rock with a spark of sentience in the galaxy (taking silicon-based pleasure in rolling on top of people after being dislodged by artillery) and then it starts to turn into Lucius, except.... he's stuck:

"Tionis of the Iron Hands company-clan Vurgaan, stalked around the cliff, he knew he'd seen one of the traitorous sons of Fulgrim dueling his brothers here. During his approach, an explosion had revealed the location of the conflict in the dusk-light and his pace had quickened. Upon arrival he saw the carnage that had been wrought upon his fellow astartes.

Bodies were strewn about the area, around 7 by his estimate, though the missing limbs and various other body parts made this a challenge. He swore under his breath and his personal oath of vengeance against the Emperor's Children was renewed ten-fold.

As he made to continue his pursuit, he noticed a strange object that seemed out of place, even amongst such a visceral scene. It was a large boulder, about the size of an astartes, though still an uneven spherical shape.
If he hadn't been facing this direction he may not have noticed it. Tionis approached and, as he got closer, he saw what had caught his eye: the rock appeared to have a strange protrusion on this side of it's surface. He also noticed a faint splash of blood underneath the bottom of the boulder and what looked like a squashed finger stuck out of one side.

He stopped, blinking in confusion inside his helmet. The rock had a face, ugly and scarred, but still a face. It leered, as best as a rock could, with an expression of open-mouthed shock and frustration on its craggy features.

"Gnuh.." mumbled the rock.

Tionis tensed in surprise and slowly removed his helmet. He must have been mistaken, but 'did that rock just talk?' he thought to himself.

"Gnuh" repeated the rock.

Tionis laid his bare ear onto the rock, it was warm to the touch.

This time when the rock spoke he heard it's words more clearly: '..ck....you'.

Tionis straightened up, slightly annoyed. After facing the daemonic incursions on Salvos VI, talking rocks barely even registered as an interesting aside. Still, he felt that he hadn't deserved this kind of abuse, least of all from an overly-embellished lawn-ornement.

He regarded it for a long moment and then drew his power knife. He had been too distracted by it's appearance to notice that the rock was poorly balanced near the edge of the cliff.

He extended the knife and gave the boulder the slightest of pushes. That was all it needed.

As it started to pick up momentum, it's strange noises increased in earnest.

"GNUH!" it cried as it started to move.

Tionis shrugged in his armour and watched it roll away.....'

Unfortunately for me, Lucius only surviving is due to crazy amounts of plot armour (and before people pipe up, he's not the only one!) it's just the way he does come back is both laughably easy and such a "Gotcha!" it's borderline parody.

If Lucius gets killed by a Tyranid or Necron, game over. Tyranid only have 1 setting - kill and don't feel joy, while necrons have no feelings anyway (I think!). It would have been better if Slaanesh made him a perpetual (like Vulcan) but each time he resurrects his armour constantly reminds him of his defeats, and only is silenced through combat, forcing more defeats in an infinite loop.

Grimm, but not half as stupid as "I die but then if you enjoy killing me I become you!" which as soon as I read it I immediately dropped IQ points from the dumb I just read.

What an unnecessarily weird and long-winded way to write "That's in another thread".

Fabius Bile is but we've had that picture for at least two days now.

The first item is Lord of the Rings(different thread), the second is Horus Heresy(different thread), Fabius Bile is the third, and the last is AoS(different thread).

It's for the Horus Heresy, from Forge World.

It’s possible, so in a thread about rumors and and things that may or may not happen, it’s entirely relevant.
