So I was getting some supplies at a local Gun, train, and hobby shop, and the clerk asked me what kind of trains I had I said I didn't have any trains I ran a local war game club. So after a couple minutes he mentioned that he used to go to hobby shows and get free swag from GW and he gave it to his kid that never really got into playing. So I give him my e-mail and his son e-mails me with a list of stuff he wants to unload. Its such a random assortment, some NiB some badly painted and damaged. The really neat thing is he kept all the trade show brochures from the 90s. Here is a pic of all the stuff, any Idea what price I should offer him (or if you want any of it let me know, I am just going to trade it to people that appreciate it, anyways)

Well I figure $20 a tank is about right, the rest is kind of junk.

...yeah...don't ever expect to sell anything for it's "sentimental value". It may mean a lot to you but it doesn't mean crap to a potential buyer.

It's old, collectors junk, and i'll take it from you when i get money back into my account.

I would say aside from the tanks, most of it is really only of historical interest and not much value-wise. Say $40 or so?

Those older models are metal, no? Just strip the paint and they're as good as new. I say go for it, get the lot. In any case, they'll be a discussion point.

The Epic vehicles are worth selling on their own as unassembled/unpainted Epic things are generally worth a few quid, you may be pleasantly suprised if they go on eBay. There's a few metal figures, strip and sell them individually and you may get a couple of quid for them. It's not going to be a large amount of money though and none of the books are particularly unusual or sought after.

No interest in the books, thanks for thinking of me. The Russ and maybe the marines are the only things I see people wanting and even then 90% would want to strip the paint making them more work than buying new.

I love old GW stuff.

There's Space Marine commander in that Leman Russ. He probably put it together when the Leman Russ first came out and you could give them to Space Marines.

Epic stuff holds its price well on Ebay. The Vindicare may be useful if you don't already have one (or the superior 'Joe Pineapples' pose). I always liked that pointing Space Marine Sergeant with the power fist, even if he has become something of a cliché. I also have a soft spot for old style Citadel paint.

Umm those citadel paints- are they still liquid? like shakable?

i'd say $80-$100, its a lot of stuff but a lot of it is junk (a Leman Russ with SM coming out of the top?)

The troops are way over painted, so a giant pain in the ass to fix. I agree about the $20 a used tank limit.

I would bid on ebay a max of $40.

I hear that. If you really want the stuff I will send it to you for the cost of shipping, and don't worry I can hold them for a couple months if you need me to

this Epic stuff could fetch you few bucks on ebay, maybe not a great lot, buts its always worth something. Apart from tanks, as others already mentioned other lot might be worth few dollars alltogether, nothing more. So I guess offer him 40 $.

I offered him $60 an he said he would take it. So on monday I will pick it up and start stripping it.


If anyone wants any of the Fantasy stuff or the tanks let me know. The other stuff some people have already mentioned they wanted so when I get it I will give them all a PM.

I still have more than a couple of pots of that style paint from the mid 90's that is still 100% perfect to use.

Enchanted Blue, Ultramarines Blue, Orc Flesh Wash, Scorpion Green and a few others...
