Fairly simple question. In the middle of a game, some of your minis are destroyed by the opponent's shooting. Do you move them to an unoccupied corner spot on the table until the end of the game, or do you put them into your case there and then?

They go in the case to think about what they did!

They go into the case, and they feel shame. Next game, they get free.

Either to the side of the board or onto an unused table.

They go on the side of the table to root on their still living companions

Board side, especially as i'm currently using my Vampire counts for the most part, meaning the dead ones will be back soon enough.

none of my models have ever died in as game so never had to think about it...

Depends which is easiest if the case is out the case, if not the table edge

I tend to play in tournaments more often than anything else, so my models go back to their moving tray. In a friendly game, it depends on how long the opponent turn is taking. If they have a lot going on and I have time, they'll go back into the case to save me time at the end of the game packing up. Otherwise they just get taken off / put somewhere else.

Mine usually go on the side of the table unless I have a long opponent player turn ahead of me. In that case, they might go in the case. Sometimes near the end of the game I start putting my stuff away in my opponent's movement phase as well, to save time later.

Back in the case! It's just safer that way.

If I'm playing tyranids my MCs and warriors get carefully placed in an unused corner of the table, while my gaunts get chucked half-way across the room into the battleforce box I keep them in.

Each one is given a viking's funeral (small boats set on fire in the bathtub).

Realistically, they are placed back in the case during lulls in the action.

Pack as you go if possible, it's a whole lot more efficient than trying to pack the whole army up at once after the game.

It's usually a mix of the two depending on my space. Between turns I shuffle the knights into there cases so they may rest with the emperor....and away from my fury of them dieing...

They are marines they don't die they go to heaven and regroup. the boyz go in the box. guard piled up till the turn is over.
