What are you talkin about bro? Do you ean you actually light your wahamz models on fire? I think they're kinda expensive for that sorta thing. Scuplting with melted sprue can be fun though, aside from the blistery burns.

It is quite tasty, I find its good on a rueban with sauerkraut and rye.

jetjetex, you need to format your post in a logical and grammatically correct way. Otherwise none of us have any idea what you are talking about. Try capitalization, punctuation and grammar in your first post and we'll try to answer whatever your question was meant to be.

Lighting houses on fire is probably a cheaper hobby.

not setting them on fire but using heat to customize them.

Oh, sure. A friend of mine has on occasion used a hot piece of metal to get certain effects. Not something you want to be doing all the time, but neither is it a technique I would abstain from using.

At least now we know that Toki from Metalocalypse plays warhammer.

It's ams the coolest games evers!

As to the assumed topic, I've used fire to heat up and reshape plastic, mostly when using plasticard to make custom banners. In my early days I use a soldering iron to melt plastic for damage and got sick from the fumes( gave me a screwed up sinus infection for like 2 weeks). Ah to be young again and not care about proper ventilation.

@ aerethan - What episode is that in?

On topic - I often heat up drawing pins and , err, insert them into the underside of cavalry or biker models to make painting them seperately easier.

It's not in an episode(although that would frikkin rock). I was merely comparing grammatical errors of the OP to Toki's unique take on the English language.

Rather than using fire, if you just get a file or something and heat it up, you can melt the plastic much safer

I knew a guy that had taken a lighter to some marines to make a nurgle CSM force, melt head -> push screaming skull into gloop before it sets again = not too shabby idea

I remember years ago using a bunsen burner to add battle damage to a rhino. Thought I had set it on a low flame but had turned the dial the wrong way....
completely engulfed the rhino in flames and completely melted it. on my carpet. Man it stank and the fumes made me puke all over the place.

I guess you should post this in the painting and modeling section if you want a proper response.

If however you're just looking for stories of fire abuse; i recommend this site: www.4chan.org

I use a souldering iron to make melta battle damage on tanks occasionally but not so much, it tends to be a bit temperamental to be using on footsoldiers although I can see it working for Nurgle and large models and scenery....

This is a completely stupid and dangerous idea. Do not do this, ever. Plastic releases toxic fumes, and playing with fire is seldom a smart thing to do.

I do this every once in a while, though I use a soldering iron mostly. As for the fumes, make sure it's well ventilated... and if I do breath some in, oh well, so I'll live to be 70 instead of 71

Do it in a well ventilated area as the fumes can be toxic.
