A thread for placing bad dreams you've had.

I had one where I was wimming in an ocean full of scorpions during a hurricane.

Also, I had one where I fell to my death. (I woke up on the florr. LOL)

The one "bad" dream that has stuck with me since childhood (age 6) was brought on by being told (by my Grandmother) that if I lied my tounge would fall out.
In the dream I told a lie and of course my tounge fell out and went flopping across the floor like a fish,I was chasing it and trying to stick it back in my mouth.
I've vividly recalled this dream my whole life.

I had one last night, which shook me up pretty bad.

I was walking down the hall to y classroom, and when I opened the door the lights were off. When I turned them on, I was standing in the middle of a large oval room, with marble pillars on each wall. In front of me there was a throne on a golden dias, and sitting on it was a collossal skeleton wearing greek style armour and holding a trident. In the middle of the room was a pit with 8 sides that I couldn't see into because it was so gloomy. When I walked into the room, the door slammed shut, but I didn't try to open it. Instead, I just walked towards the pit. On the floor, there were hundreds of Snakes coiled up ready to strike, but they were all silent. I looked into the pit, and it felt like time itself was born down there. There was definatly a prescence in the pit, of something old. Something that existed since the birth of the universe itself. It sounds silly I know, but those were my thoughts. Then there was a voice from the pits that said something that sounded like "Nyx awaits", and I tumbled into the pit. Then, I woke up screaming.

I dreamed it was the end of the school year.

It was bad because I woke up depressed as hell.

I had an erotic dream involving my mother-in-law.

It was quite enjoyable at the time but it seemed like a nightmare when I woke up.

I had one just last night, me and my friends where going to airport. My dream had something to do with zombies I think because I saw a lot of dead bodies on the ground and in piles. We make it to the airport, and everyone there had to through some type of screening. Most of my friends went to get screened and they checked clean, then its my turn. I go though this horrific process and end up fine and clean. Then my best friend goes, only not to come out the other side where we were. Then I hear screaming and see guys in hazmat suits take him away to some room. Then I woke up.

I had a dream(not too long ago actually) that I was being assaulted by Jay Leno and was saved by Conan O'Brian riding Jon Stewart and wielding Stephen Colbert as a weapon.


Last time I ever go to sleep with Comedy Central on, I swear.

I had a dream I rotted away right before my eyes.

The other I have is a dream similar to the Irish Banshee, cept this girl doesn't have a face.

I remember having a dream when i was very young about her screaming in the woods, she sort of inspired my music. Oh and no one I know has died yet from her sightings but she does scream alot, and swear.

I don't know what I dreamt about but 4 months ago I had dreams that I kept waking up screaming from. Every night for a week. My family wasn't happy.

I have a lot of dreams about waking up and going through the day normally, sometimes even dreaming about going to sleep again.


Feels bad man.

The other morning I had a dream that me and the girlfriend had a little boy who had an orange for a head. He seemed really upset and I was trying to tell him that it was perfectly normal, whilst trying not to laugh. I woke up feeling genuinely weirded out as the dream was so vivid.

Wow, that's pretty fethed up. Did you do anything unusual that day?

I still remember one bad dream i had many many years ago involving me being chased by land sharks through a town near the beach. when i ran into the water they stopped following me and just sat at the water's edge like they couldn't swim.

My dreams are pretty vague but I do sleep walk and sleep talk alot.

Sitting bolt upright in bed cacling with laughter is the one that annoys my wife the most.

I nearly always have falling dreams, and usually startle myself awake just before landing. According to the first dream analyst website I see on google, this means:

"You are feeling overwhelmed and out of control in some situation in your waking life. This may reflect the way you feel in your relationship or in your work environment. You have lost your foothold and can not hang on or keep up with the hustle and bustle of daily life."

So, I guess that means my life is one giant screw up.

I had a bad dream about a year ago that was a little like Little Lord Fauntleroy's. I was watching what was happenening and not participating at all. The scene ws the inside of a an ancient marble building with gold and brass adornments. It had a classical Grecian feel to it. Priests brought in the body of a fallen champion under a black cloth and had slaves take the corpse into this room in the back. The body was then bound with chains on the limbs and lowered into the bottomless black abyss. The body writhed around pulling one of the priests into the abyss. The slaves secured the chains and hauled the body out of the pool of nothing. The warrior was reborn and had and extra arm and a more malevolent look around the eyes.

Then the priests and the warrior went into like an onsen bath and were drinking from golden goblets. The Warrior was recounting the tale on how he "died".

i am plagued by Zombie nightmares.... ick...... various kinds from out breaks, to life after an outbreak, fighting zombies..... *shivers* i hate zombies.
I can never watch a zombie movie before i go to bed, i have to watch something else.

Heres what i recall:

Lying motionless on a marble floor, my body bleeding and cut through the power armour (It was pretty sweet to wear), I get up and look at my surroundings. The floor is coverd in blood and bodies, some are still alive even though crows are picking at their exposed intestines. The room is shaped like an octogon about 900 square meters. I walk to a corner and sit in a squishy substance, and jump in horrer...I had just satin a pile of imulsified bodies. The wall opposite from my position warps inward and a creature horrible beyond imagination emerges from it, I am forced to fight it and kill it. after that I just sat in that horrible room for what seemed like hours, I felt every ache and pain. I woke up in a cold sweat staring into what I realize is my dogs drooling mouth. It was about 4 0clock and I was too scared to go back to sleep. I would give more detail but the stuff I saw grosses me out too much to write it.

Once, I had a dream that the world was taken over by madmen, and I was the last human left alive. I was about 6 at the time, so I immediately tried to hide, but when I was discovered (6 year olds have horrible hiding places, by the way) I was held against the wall and stabbed in the stomach with some form of sharp object, and I was forced to watch the blood fall out.

Bad dreams don't really bother me as I forget them as quickly as any other. The only time I've ever felt truly distrubed was a recurring dream. Worst dream ever. Went on for about a week.

I had an exciting dream , that i was shooting aliens in the mall.
I actually have that similar dream often , and everytime it ends with the gun running out...
It does run out of ammo , the bullet just shoots as far as a water pistol xD

Nope, nothing out of the ordinary, certainly nothing involving oranges or even the colour orange. I have just become an uncle though, so this probably explains the whole baby thing.

I tend to get quite a lot of odd dreams. I seem to forget them quite quickly and then for some reason, often months later the memory will pop back into my head for no good reason.

I tend not to remember my dreams when I wake up, and even if I do, I usually forget them soon after anyway. However, there is one dream that I still remember which really freaked me out.

It was in a dark theatre (with lots of red drapes, red seat covers etc) and there was a fairly realistic plastic baby doll sitting on the ledge of one of the upper tiers of seats in front of me and it was crying and bleeding. Then I think it fell off the side, but to be honest, it might have just sat there with an omni directional crying coming from everywhere.

Woke up with my heart hammering and could not get back to sleep.

The only other dream I can remember is one that I used to have about once every couple of months when I was about 14-16 where I was running through the woods nekid with a bunch of other nekid people, but we all had camo painted on our skins. The dream gradually progressed, with a little more happening each time I drempt is, althoug nothing really interesting happened in it. Now I only dream that one every couple of years or so.

Didn't you hear? Circular-headed pumps, with an 8 cm Stiletto heel are the hot new trend in Hades this Summer.

It was kind of funny. We inserted, in the dark, via a window into the mall. For some reason I know, like you just do in dreams, that zombies are attracted to shoes. I stumble over something, and shine my torch on it. A high heel. I turn to my team mate to ask what kind of shop we're in, when the flickering lights turn on.
