Yes, but be very careful to only apply a VERY small amount to the edges to be bonded. If you get the cement on the clear plastic anywhere else you'll be left with ugly opaque patches where the glue melts the clear plastic.

NOOOO!
Am Assuming that you have managed okay Pebble Monkey, but personally would use PVA or a clear cement from the model shop.
Any cement that gets on the canopy will fog it - as PB says.
What I do with my aircraft kits are to dunk the canopy in Johnson's Klear, then when it has dried fully it can be stuck on with CA glue.
The floor varnish prevents fogging- don't use CA without it.
It also makes the canopies very clear. (the Klear not the CA)

Have you gone and got some on the canopy Luna?
if so what sort of glue was it?
It maybe as well to let it cure. Hopefully it will not have caused anything more than some minor surface damage.
If it has then the best thing I can think of is to polish it off using very fine abrasives getting progressively finer till it buffs uo with a buffer- unsurprisingly.
If there is a woman in your life then she may have one of those multi nail polishing pads. If not you can pick them up quite cheaply ( the pads not th egirls- they are never cheap in my experience )
Start with the coarsest grade and polish away till it is smooth.
Then depending how spanking shiney you want the canopy- dunk it in the Johnson's Floor Polish as mentioned above.
This will make any fogging disappear.

Superglue isn't a good idea, as it fogs up clear plastic for some reason.
"Superglue" by the by, is Cyanoacrylate. For the clear plastic canopies and the like, you want Polystyrene Cement and a fine grade paintbrush, toothpick, or a little cap from Testor's(they sell 'fine point nozzles' that mount on the end of a tube of Polystyrene Cement. Works wonders).

Yes chibi , it sort of got on the cockpit. Because the gray piece sort of shifted when i tried to put it on.
I have nail buffer that could work but , the clear plastic is flat , and the gray rims are sticking out.
The nail buffer cannot reach.
Side question! I just dled a new font , where to i put it for it to work?

If the problem spots are those highlighted Luna it may nit be to much of a problem, more fiddly if you have big mitts.
You can strip the abrasive material from the stick.
try to keep some of the backing layers on if you can as it will make it tougher, but i should think it is possible from the looks of it.
May help to put some Tamiya tape or similar over part of the canopy and other areas you may wish to protect.
If you don't have any low tack tape but just decorator's stuff be careful not to leave it on too long or firm it down too much as it may lift your paint work.
hth good luck and keep us posted
Automatically Appended Next Post: ps It may be worth wrapping the abrasive cloth around a piece of plastic card - obviously not too thick but strong enough to work.
I some times make impromptu sandning sticks like this using double sidedtape

pps is a pity about the splodge as is looking really neat Automatically Appended Next Post: No mate, sorry for the confusion
Is it ordinary plastic cement you have used?
and it looks like it has got on the outside of the canopy?
if it is on the inside of the canopy you have to take it off
You may need to very carefully do some removing with a rounded scalpel if you have one - eek
I meant take the abrasive cloth off the nail polish stick

Dip you clear plastic in Future Floor Finish before you glue them. This will make the plastic very clear and keep glues from fogging the inside when you glue them. Never use CA to glue clear plastic, the best glue to use is PVA.

You can try using floor polish such as Future or whatever as long as it is clear. This trick in more for scratches than "fog" or smudges though. Honestly, I think you may be boned.

Hi Guys
Sorry have been calling it Klear which is what we call it in the UK- forgot it is called Future in the States.
Depends on how bad the smearing is
I think the only hope is to use abrasives to remove the cement and polish, then use the Future to restore clarity
ps sorry about the pps thing Luna lol

Quick save tip here and somethuing ive done countless times
Keep the actual frame as much as possible, and cut up the clear plastic from the blster packs.
You can use this and PVA to make a new clear cockpit.

When attaching the canopy struts to the canopy of the valk with poly cement there are some important steps to follow. It is tricky and takes practice.
1. Use the liquid kind and Apply sparingly, WITH A SMALL BRUSH to the GREY plastic bits. All you need is a very thin film of it. Do NOT apply it to the clear parts.
2. It will seem to soak into the plastic (this is when it is ready). Gently and carefully line the parts up and press together.
There is a Zap superglue for clear canopies that should work (I don't use superglue on acetates).
@SonofRuss: That glue is for MAKING window panes, not gluing them. It uses the surface tension from the framing to hold itself in place until it sets and hardens (like a bubble film).
Sorry to say it Luna, but that canopy is cactus (dead, gone, an ex-canopy. It has joined the choir invisible. It is not pining for the fjords.) and beyond resurrection.
It may be possible to remove the framing (with care) and build a new set of window panels for it - but that requires a steady hand and a sharp blade.
