Nurgley Ogryns. I promised to make at least 3 Ogryns of the Nurgle TraitorGuard variety for the month of March. Here are my parts to begin with

Super cool! Those guys look sick, and I mean that in all sorts of different ways. So varied as well.

*edit*
Ok, I just looked through your gallery... I can not wait to see these guys painted! Wonderful work, all around.

Just put the bascoats on them. Now I have to shade, highlight, weather etc etc. and so on.

Ohhh really can't wait to see these finished! Loved your other Nurgle stuff and I'm sure these will be just as creepy and slimy!

A little update. Started adding verdigris to the brass and highlighted some of the blues to green.

getting closer to tabletop quality.

If I'm going to give them a hostage model, I have to decide quick on what I want to use. May use an old dark Eldar slave wench on a base.

Did some shading and a little work on the flesh. Needs some touch ups and a little more highlights, then I can do small details and finish them up.

Woa, that spawn arm on the hooded ogryn really makes him stand out from the rest of the bunch of rotten flesh! Ugly -though in a positive, nurgly way- paintjob as well! Perhaps some more pus/slime on the hood in the mouth area of the hooded one, and a few nurglings on the bases?

I haven't decided on nurglingson the bases or not. The cloth hood over the face will have more grime, as will the sull mask on the other.

3 Ogryns are done and I should have the pics up tomorrow night. Still waiting on some things to dry. In the meantime, I have found 9 more ripper guns in my bitz box and will start on 9 more Ogryns. I guess I will have to start a more comprehensive Blog title, since I do not plan on staopping with Ogryns.

Ok! I'm calling these ... done! I may find a detail or two to tweak later on, but for all intents and purposes they are done. The purple washes come out a little too strong with the camera and are a little more subtle in real life. The water effects (second coat) is still drying. I like the verdigris, but it may be a little too subtle at this point... I'm not sure. I tried out Vallejo "black Lava" to paint the mud on the boots etc. then painted it Dark Flesh to match the middy base and whatnot.

Let me know what ya think of the Traitor Ogryns. If there is anything I really need to touch up or do over, let me know.

Man your stuff is always inspiring and excellently executed, but I'm definitely with Curtis.Tandoh would love a wee lowdown on the painting techniques.

Frodo and Curtis.Tandoh: The flesh is fairly simple. Black primed model with GW Rotting Flesh or Vallejo Game Color Dead Flesh (or even Vallejo Model Color Deck tan) drybrushed over it. Then drybrush the previous clor over it again after mixing it with 50% Vallejo Model Color Light Flesh. Wash this with watered down 50% Badab Black GW wash. Touch back up some streaks and high points of the skin with the previous 50-50 rotting flesh:light flesh. Go ahead and paint the sures etc at this point. I used some tans mixed with yellows and highlighted to just a bright yellow. Then go and use some watered down red and purple washes in strategic areas. Matte varnish and done.
