Yeah, Iron Man 2 looks kick fething arse. Not too sure about Tron Legacy.
I wasn't that arsed about Iron Man when it came out - but it was the only film showing in english at the cinema that month (we lived in Spain). So glad I went to see it, as Robert Downey Jr was great in it - I really like him as an actor. Yeah, pleasantly surprised by Iron Man, I was.

I remeber when IM I was first planed and they were going to use Tom Cruze, the comunity went NOOOOOO!
The he droped out an Robert Downey Jr was anounced and the comunity went NOOO...wait Tony Stark a womanising drunkard with and ego.
Yah for type casting.
Ignore KK, he has lost that childlike spark and is now a Revenant. Go see, it, run through the streets singing and dancing! Let a new glory wash over you in sharp angled CGI!

I'm just bitter there's still no Megaforce remake.

I really, really, REALLY cannot see why anyone is psyched for Tron 2.
Iron Man however was awesome.
Nope. Saw it fairly recently.
Tron was my go-to comfort movie as a child.

And so, due to rising costs of maintaining the Golden Throne, the Emperor's finest accountants spoke to the Demigurg. A deal was forged in blood and extensive paperwork for a sub-prime mortgage with a 5/1 ARM on the Imperial Palace. And lo, in the following years the housing market did tumble and the rate skyrocketed leaving the Emperor's coffers bare. A dark time has begun for the Imperium, the tithes can not keep up with the balloon payments and the Imperial Palace and its contents, including the Golden Throne, have fallen into foreclosure. With an impending auction on the horizon mankind holds its breath as it waits to see who will gain possession of the corpse-god and thus, the fate of humanity......

Depends on who you ask. This was a story back when they first announced the sequel. Terrence says it was a suprise, the studios say he was demanding a huge salary. Who knows really?

I don't think he would have fit in the suit they needed some one smaller about the same size as Robert

I know I'm man enough for Megaforce.
Whoa!, Don't even joke like that KK,as desperate as most film makers seem for ideas it wouldn't supprise me to see Megaforce "recycled"...and a remake of that abomination may well trigger the apocolypse (zombies in spandex ).
I am however looking forward to Iron Man 2,I enjoyed the first one and hope this one is as good or better.
As for Tron, frisbee fighting with other kids when I was a child was the biggest impact Tron had on my life,so I'm not very interested in the "reimagining/remake...whatever".
I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.
I know I'm in the minority, but I didn't get the hype about Iron Man. Utterly formulaic story and good special effects...typical summer blockbuster fare. RDJ being quippy and funny covered up a lot of shortcomings, IMO.
Re: Tron, it's more visionary and influential than an actually great movie. But because of those former qualities, I'm looking forward to seeing the new one.

I thought that was the point of Super Hero Movies.

Well, granted Iron Man wasn't a "jaw dropping/epic" film,it was however a very nicely done comic to film adaptation, perhaps one of the best of the bunch.
When compared to films like the last few X-Men & Spiderman movies,Iron Man was Jaws & The Godfather rolled into one.

I liked Iron Man because the main character seemed human / relatable. I thought he did an excellent job in the role!
I looooooooooove Tron! The frisbee fighting and cars-making-walls behind them....... along with those gigantic crusher things, the magical water that healed them, the glowing stuff.... I'm geeking out here!
How could a remake NOT be cool? Look at the Star Trek movie from this past year... sometimes you can revive something cheesy (but groundbreaking) and make it certifiably awesome.

Both look awesome, but I wonder if and when the iron man franchise is going to go 3D.
Tron has.

The only thing that really really really annoyed me about Iron Man was that they didn't, you know, play
"Iron Man" as the soundtrack. Dis make Frazzled sad.

I take it you loved the Flash Gordon soundtrack, then?

I bet you hated it when the Decepticons broke into your shuttle and shot you, too.
Errr... I mean loved the '86 Transformers movie(then again, who didn't?).
Yeah, that's what I meant.
