How big are those nuclear shrimp chiefs? They look pretty bulky.
Your Mennoth inspired guy seems quite yellow. Is that intentional or is it just the lighting? I like it yellow though.
Some day we should play something at 15mm...

I'm willing to forgive the... odd weapon designs due to their age. Those sculpts are over 30 years old.
The Redemptionist guy is fairly yellow. The bone Contrast paint has a very worn, yellowed tint to it. Looks good for old bones. It probably doesn't help that I did use a highlight of Vallejo beige over it, too.
The UEF Rangers are actually very chunky for their scale. Makes me very curious how big the 28mm versions are. I'll try and get some size comparisons tonight. One of these guys could probably go to to toe with some of my mechs though.

I've gotten so behind on uploading stuff. I've painted a 15mm drop pod, two squads of infantry, and a Primaris Lieutenant, but I have yet to take pics of any of them.
I did however manage to get pics of my first Zombicide miniature. I got my Invader stuff a couple days ago and managed to actually get a figure done.
When they announced Frank as a playable character, I knew he was probably going to be my go-to survivor. He's a servitor-ized Driller alien! That's awesome! I tried to keep his colors somewhat consistent with the artwork. His sculpt is a little mushy around his face, but you can make out his teeny tiny little eyes. My only complaint about him is that I wish he were bigger.

So how much did shipping knock you back? I heard CMoN is charging the US people actual shipping now instead of the reduced shipping fees.
Also is frank based on someone/something? They do so many homage sculpts and I’m just not sure of most of them.

I honestly don't remember how much shipping was. Probably somewhere around $20 or so.
Frank is a reference to Frankenstein. But in terms of his sculpt, he is not a cameo figure. He is literally one of the enemy aliens from the Blackout expansion made into a playable survivor.

Next up! Kilgore the Headhunter. He's so bizarre looking!
He's also kind of thin and doesn't have the sharpest details. His bandolier of bullets under the skulls on his chest in particular are hard to discern. My lighting doesn't help matters either. His third arm winds up blending into his torso because of the lighting. Plus, his skull isn't standing out so well in these lights, either. Trust me, this figure does look better in person that it does in the pic.

I'm surprised you haven't already churned some of these guys out. Considering the amount of figures you've been painting in a week, I'd think you'd be nearly through the base game box by now.
Today, I finished Lieutenant Torriani Massimo. This is the Italian representative. I actually really liked the Marine designs for the game. I just wish they'd had more than two of them sculpted wearing their helmets.
This was just a quick job. There's definitely a loss of detail on these guys from some of the renders and early resin prototypes we've seen. Almost none of the ribbing is present on the undersuit and his odd headset thing is supposed to go around his jaw, but the only bit of it that actually was visible on the sculpt was the glasses. And, of course, my shading is totally lost in the picture. I used a gray wash over the white armor. It doesn't have the stark black linework a black wash gives. It's much more subtle shadows and looks quite good.

Over the weekend, my brother and I met up with BobtheInquisitor at Brookhurst Hobbies and played some Zombicide Invader. We played the Blackout version. It's been a while since I last played a game of Zombicide. I like the gameplay and the whole dark zone aspect of Blackout was an interesting touch. I'm really going to have to put some effort into painting more of the figures. I'd like to someday have the whole game painted up.
There were a few times where it seemed like we were going to lose, but somehow we not only won, but nobody even died!
While we were there, I grabbed a couple of Bones Black figures. One was a Rockmaw/D&D Xorn, and the other was the Maggotcrown Bonesack. I don't know what a Maggotcrown Bonesack is, but it looks like a large, bloated corpse that's reanimated while in the process of being butchered. It's odd. It has bones sprouting out of its finger, bone spikes in its shoulders, and no flesh on its skull. Oh, and it's partially vivisected, as if you didn't notice.
It's hard to tell in the pic, but I painted the inside with Blood for the Blood God, so it's got a very wet look to it. I used Vallejo's dried blood on the exposed bone bits. The head is splotchy, I know. That was intentional. I wanted it to look uneven, as if the blood was drying after having the skin peeled off the skull. It is an odd, kind of gross figure. Big, too. I believe that base is a 60mm that it came with.
Finally, I mentioned that I had finished a drop pod for my 15mm figures, but I never got around to posting pics. Here it is. This is from Clearhorizon Miniatures and is part of their Helldivers subline.
You can build it all closed up, if you want. You would just need to snip off the support struts on its landing legs. Clearhorizon also makes a more detailed opened up version with a fully detailed interior.

Finished a couple more figures tonight. These guys are recent releases from Alternative Armies. They're a part of an experimental little line they're calling Alternative Stars. These guys were sort of a "test the waters" assortment of various, fairly generic sci-fi adventurer types. Plus a gun wielding owlbear.
First, a Nekonari Trooper with SMG. Yes, he's a cat-man. I would love to see more of these guys.
Next we have the nice and generic Star Empire Colonial Trooper with Rifle.
They're pretty simple, single piece figures. I had fun painting them. Yeah, I didn't give them the most interesting paintjobs, but I think they turned out alright.

So, way back in the heady days of Januay 2018, Cold War Miniatures ran a little Kickstarter for some very retro '50s style pulp Hawkman miniatures. The figures were channeling that old school Flash Gordon aesthetic. I would up getting a few figures from it. I finally got around to painting one of them yesterday. They're actually very simple sculpts, so it didn't really need that much work.
My intention was always to give these guys to my dad since he is a fan of this style retro sci-fi. He really seemed to like this one and put him in his display cabinet along with the retro robot army I did for him. I've got two more that someday I'll do. The other two are in actual flying poses though.
I just finished whatever this guy is tonight. I don't know who makes this figure or what he's called. I got him from BobtheInquisitor last weekend. He painted up surprisingly quick.
If you know what this figure is, please let me know.

That Hawkman is a nifty model. I almost backed that KS, but realized that I don't play any games in which those models would fit.
I really, really like the Maggotcrown Bonesack you posted a while back. It may be my monitor, but the open guts look like the inside of a pomegranate to me, which makes the model all the more wonderful in my mind.

The Alternative Armies minis look great. I'm surprised that are 28mm in scale, though, because they are posed like 15mm guys. The bright blue on the Imperial troop pops.
The Hawkman's scheme fits him perfectly. Are you interested in any of Cold War Minis' upcoming Space Mongols?
I'm surprised how good the dragon lord looks with such a bright paint job--I always pictured him with black armor edged in blue, purple or red, which would have been dull in comparison. Excellent choice.

Yep, the Alternative Stars figures are indeed 28mm. Here's a regular human and an old style Marine to compare to.
Speaking of size comparisons, I think I owed some size comparisons of the Nuclear Shrimp 15mm Ranger power armor. I'd taken the pics, but forgot to post them.
So, here's one compared to regular humans in 28mm and 15mm scales.
Pretty chunky. And here is one compared to some 15mm mechs.
Dude could easily go toe-to-toe with a WHISPER or that Duxis.
I got a few more figures painted this week. I also had to replace my hall light. The new one is way brighter. I thought I'd try doing some shots under it and see if it's any better than my bedroom lights. Conclusion: not particularly. It still washes out details like highlights and shadows. Boo.
Here's a Bones Black Rockmaw, which is totally not a Xorn from D&D. Nope.
He's a chunky monster, too. Around the same size as the Maggotcrown Bonesack, which is on a 50 or 60mm base. I actually like this thing. It has a very Mythos-like feel to it. It'd also work great as some kind of alien species in a sci-fi setting. Hell, throw in some of the Nolzur's Xorn as troops and this guy could be a commander for them.
I finally got around to painting the Culexis Assassin Highlord Tamburlaine gave me. I like the concept of these guys, but man, do I ever hate the design. That helmet so soooooo big and doofy looking. How can he even stand up with that thing on his head?
Funny enough, though I hate the Culexis design with a passion, I actually love the version Heresy Labs did. It's kind of funny how much bulking up the suit really helps the look of the design.
Last figure is the fourth survivor from the Soldier Box from the Zombicide: Invader. This is Doctor Fischer. She's supposed to be the one who created Frank.
She's certainly got an Admech vibe going on. But when I'm playing a horror themed survival game, little old lady is not my first choice for a player character. I'm not sure why you'd want to use her. Her abilities aren't that great and her armor is abysmal. Oh well. The survivors from that box are done, now. On to the monsters and figures out how the hell I'm going to paint them.
