Well it's not like it needed it. Just look at the questions.....Only the scribe on even seems to be a real question instead of a failure to read.

I like it. This confirms the more restrictive ruling on the Changeling -- his power can only affect one enemy unit per turn. Makes a lot more sense than the alternative reading (given the 'lil guy's low point cost).

You mean people actually read it that he could affect more than a single unit? I don't see how but I'm glad it cleared it up for them....

The ruling on the bluescribes is a classic case of creating more questions with the answer to one question.

Because it's better than nothing? Please try not to be so negative, at least GW is doing something with FAQ's now.

GW has been pretty decent with their FAQs recently. And the Chaos Daemons codex probably had a low priority since it was decently written.

More FAQs are only good if they're useful and actually provide answers to questions people ask. FAQs are, by definition, Frequently Asked Questions. Not Occasionally Asked Questions. Or Things People Misread.

If a FAQ doesn't actually address questions people are asking, then, seriously, why publish it at all? Yes, I'd prefer good FAQs frequently, but I'd rather wait longer for a decent one than be given a bunch of useless ones quickly.

I've always thought this codex was well written hence not much of a need for an extensive FAQ.

Tbh, I've just picked up the 'dex and some models and I have to say it really is (imo) rather well written. Haven't come across many rules that could have ambiguous meanings. But saying that, I've not played a game with em yet!

Nice to see an FAQ almost every month now though!

Not kidding.

Nothing personal, but I think we should give them more credit, since they are are doing more lately than they were 2 years ago. They at least are trying, whereas in the past they didn't do anything.

It's damned if they do and damned if they don't. That's why they stopped FAQing in the first place. Because people were never satisfied.

I would rather praise them for doing something, then damn them for doing something.

Hmm... OK.

Not disputing the fact they did something, but the timeliness is more along the lines of the Ork Deff Rolla.

But, they do have nice BA models coming...

The "timeliness" is due to the fact that they're going through and doing as many FAQs as they can, right now.

They can't be expected to FAQ every single Codex every day of the week.

Yeah, like putting a big 'These aren't really official so do what you want' disclaimer on them.

They're doing something with the FAQ's. Nothing good though.

Alrighty then! You guys keep trying to pick up that turd and not get your hands dirty.

There are more direct questions with other armies that could be clarified. This seems like an afterthought.

Not really. A FAQ shouldn't cause more problems than it solves.

The following questions came to mind immediately, in relation to the bluescribes.

#1 - Can you declare the same power twice, and what happens if the watch this roll requires a different power?
#2 - What happens if your 2nd power is Boon of Mutation, and your 1st power is something that targets a unit?
#3 - What happens if your 2nd power is Boon, and your 1st power is Aura?
#4 - What happens if your 1st power is Boon of Mutation, and your 2nd power targets a specific unit?
#5 - What happens if your 1st power is Boon of Mutation, and your 2nd power is Aura?
#6 - What happens if your 2nd power is Aura, and your 1st power is something that targets a unit?
#7 - What happens if your 1st power is Aura, and your 2nd power is something that targets a unit?
#8 - If you pavane a unit twice, and hit it twice, do you roll 2d6 take the highest, or just 1d6?
#9 - If your 2nd power is breath and the target is out of range, do you still lay down the template (and thus can still hit units)?
#10 - If your 2nd power is boon and you're targetting a model in HTH, what happens if your first power targets another unit.
