So, I just had, quite literally, the worst game I have EVER had.

Was playing Dual Autarch Mechdar vs Chaos Mahrines.

End of Turn 4, I had half my Army in ruins, and I had managed to Stun a Predator.

Oh, and he immobilized another pred on some Spess Trees. I literally did not make a Single cover save the entire game, while he made 8 Smoke saves on one of his Predators. Everything else I fired either missed or Failed to wound. And my First Fire Prism Shot wiped out 1/3 of my armies fire dragons.

So, here is a thread for you to whine about crappy games!

Do you mean to whine about bad luck or bad oppenents?
I would guess luck from your opening post but i have more expeirance with the latter as i find it hard to moan about luck.

I have played some truelly (sp?) dispicable oppenents.
And unfortunatly one of them is the main TO in my area. Urgh.
He hates my and sets me up to lose in any tourny i enter where he is the TO.

Well that guy sounds like a pleasant guy.


Ive had my share of omg ass kickins. I used to play an incredibly fluffy chaos army, so that gave me alot of painful losses.

But my worst was with me boyz. I decided to try a couple different things to see how they worked out. I took a warboss on bike mainly thinking its a warboss.... ON A BIKE! So a LR popped out and I figured that be an easy thing to scrap, totally forgetting that moving over 6 inches makes it nearly impossible to hit it let alone hurt it. So I freaked out and tried running away from the thing, he spent an entire turn shooting at the boss only for me to fail 3 saves from of all things, a razorback w/storm bolter.
Then the rest of my army was wiped out in a rather quick fashion. I think the game lasted 3 turns maybe 3 and a half lol

I was playing against my brother, with him proxying Tau (I really wish he'd get his own models sorted). The highlights were:
-My Vindicator scattered very badly seven out of seven times, and succeeded only in killing one Crisis Battlesuit in the entire game.
-A full ten-man squad of Chaos Space Marines with an Icon of Khorne and a powersword assaulted a Battlesuit Commander and his two bodyguards, and succeeded only in killing one bodyguard (versus chewing the little froggies out in two turns of combat in previous games), before being ground to a pulp over the next three turns of combat.
-Any rolls to run in the shooting phase or consolidation rolls were ones or twos, which neatly accounted for my Noise Marines being pinned to the wall next to the tunnel they were meant to be hiding in.
-Last but not least, Power Armour proved to be made of tissue paper throughout.
Easily the worst game I have ever had.

Oh, and the game before that, I was playing orks and I had a unit of boys and 2 Deffkoptas swept (not killed, SWEPT) by a Tau Shas'el.

against a tryanid player and he comes in with a squad of gene stealers and i have a five man bolter squad and a predator with a auto cannon and a heavy bolter for a total of 15 shots all at AP 5 or better on a 5+ save wounded two goes into assualt im destroyed with a predator stunned

I had a game with my Space Wolves where I just couldn't make an armor save. I'd take 5 wounds on a Terminator squad from bolt pistols and I'd lose 3 Terminators. All of my plasma weapons (Combi--plasmas on Terminators included) overheated and killed their owners. My lord with Wolf Claws failed to cause more than one wound per turn. On turn 3 all I had was a squad of OBEL Wolf Scouts, who got chewed up instantly, leaving nobody but the plasma pistol. I predicted his gun would overheat and kill him, and it did. I think I lost 7-1 on killpoints. Absolutely horrendous game.

Last(and First) Apoc Game I had my wife used the supergatling cannon to literally wipe every Gaurdsmen I had off the table; she just kept rolling dice!

today, in a tournament... a deffkopta with buzzsaw and 2 warbikers (not nobs bikers, warbikers) charged 2 10 man bike squads. I I wounded the defkopta 10 times, he made 9 saves, killed 2 guys, I failed leadership, fled off the board. I failed to wound the warbikers, he did 2 wounds to me, I failed leadership, fled off the board.

He still had the vast majority of his army on the board. I told him good game, and conceded right then and there.

Worse game ever...hmm.

The other week my Chaos marines were facing Raven Guard, spear-head with capture/control. He reserves most of his force so most of my army is left in the open. Took 2 turns to get close to him while his two squads split up and hid behind cover for the whole time except for one little schmuk who would fire his lascannon through this tiny crevice in the terrain, killing a transport each turn.

The rest of his army enters on his table edges turn 3 and the hurting truly begins. Landspeeders take out both defilers, LRC rolls up full, pops out his SS/TH cargo and eats Kharn and company. Finally I was left with my lash sorc, his squad with a pf and one 10 man with a lascannon. Turn 4 and I haven't killed a model. Not one. Thankfully nothing scoring came toward my objective so there was small saving grace and the game ended in a draw when my sorcerer lashed the controlling squad into his charge range. Either my dice hated me or my berzerkers forgot how to swing their axes.

DE vs Orks 2500 first three turns I manage to kill 1 truck and immobilize a battlewagon. Everyone in the surrounding area got depressed and left the store.

Isn't that how DE is supposed to work? You've either destroyed or been destroyed in a couple turns?

I really don't care about losing- it just makes me refine my tactics for next time. My gakky games are all to do with the opponent. Whether it be Mr 6-year-old-turd, Mr 4000-point-completely-unpainted-army or Mr Every-single-model-is-a-fething-proxy.

Kinda but this was really depressing. Basically my first turn went like this miss, miss, miss, miss, hit, miss ,miss, hit, pen, kill a truck, miss miss, Dissies at lootas roll a arrow and double 6s, miss, miss. I'm bs 4 I should be able to hit something! While the ork player just picks up a hand full of dice, throws it on the table and gets nothing but 5s and 6s. Oh another thing I failed every LD test that I had to take.

First time I encountered Yriel with my CSM (and a slightly cheating opponent). Pretty brutal.
Apparently, Yriel is awesome if you illegally pile in my marines and use a different blast marker (read: the large one).
Between that and needing a bit more longer ranged AT fire, I killed nothing but a farseer, a unit of banshees and Yriel (with an immobilized rhino's combi bolter).

tournament today... I was playing my biker marines. I rapid fired a squad of deff coptas down to one model, who had a buzzsaw. I also rapid fired a squad of warbikers, down to 1 biker and the nob. Charged both units.

did 10 wounds to the deff koptas. He made 9 saves. He killed 2 bikers. I failed combat. I fled off the board.

my other guys did NO wounds to his bikers... he killed 1 guy with a power klaw. I failed leadership. I fled off the board.

I told him good game, packed up my models, and went home to drink myself stupid. Woke up 5 hours later smelling of urine. It has not been a good day.

Worst game ever eh...well I my friend had been wanting to test out all the new stuff in the new IG codex...so we agreed to 1000 points and I bring my normal list of a cannoness with retinue in an immolater, sisters in rhino's and an exorcist...WE had left a lot of terrain at his house so we jsut had a small set up of it..I ask him to show me hsi army list and to my surprise...3 BLOODY EXECUTIONERS TANKS AND A VALKYRIE!!! With barely any terrain on the table my army was completely wiped out by turn 3...15 plasma cannon templates ruins my day...

Worst game.... 3rd Ed 2000 pts Marines vs Nids.... Breakout scenario.....with marines defending. Talk about ugly. He ran his gaunts and Stealers to one side and kept his big stuff near the middle. 3 turns later, he had more than half his army move off the table and I had half of mine killed off.

last time i was in a tournament, it was my necrons vs his mechanised plague marines led by daemon princes. turn 3 i'd managed to kill absolutely nothing and he was in combat, end of turn 3 i phased out.

Yesterday in a tag team tournament my tau team mate and I got tabled by turn 3 from space wolves and eldar. . . . in reality it was long fanges with like 6-7 heavy bolters and bladestorming dire avengers. . . .as well as dooming and guiding the avengers and long fangs. . . . sad day when you lose over 60 boyz a turn from an army with no templates

But Yriel's Eye of Vengeance DOES use the large blast marker.

Worst game ever.... My loss to the Tyranids in a 750 horde vs horde battle royal... he went first! His dice liked him alot that day, while mine decided to have a nap! I think the highest roll i got was a 3 all game!
By the midway point of turn 3, I was 90% wiped out, with what boyz I had left running for their lives!

Well I dont have many 40K games under my belt yet, so i'll use a WHFB game from years, and years, and years ago instead.
2v2, my brother and I, playing dwarves and bretonnians, vs Chaos and What is now vampire counts. my army consisted of slayers, clansmen, two cannons, and iron breakers. Brothers army had 2 units of knights, grail knights, and wizard i think.

Opponents you ask? Chaos player had one unit only. 5 knights. 1 lord. lord was 1500 points. knights took up the rest. Vampire player had lord, took up 1200 points. two units of 20 skellies. 1 unit of 5 wights, and some high flyers.

Now this is back in the day of Hero hammer, where you could have ANY magic item, no matter the cost, up to 3 max. So basicly the battle would go like this.

Ironbreakers with lord leading is charged by chaos player. in one turn he kills about 10 IB, I kill 1 knight. takes a character that makes it impossible to refuse challenges, kills my lord, unit runs. UNdead uses high flyers to swoop down and run down unit. brother uses grey wizard to warp unit of dwarves behind chaos knights, with rear attack I do no damage. cannons fire and hit chaos player, he loses no knights. bretonnians send knights forward and decimate undead player, until they reach vampire lord. vampire lord uses curse of years with ungodly amount of PD and kills have of bretonnians. engage vampire in CC and chaos player uses stored 'gifts' to make the vampire WS10, STR 8, toughness 8 and 10 attacks in one turn, vampire kills all. Game over.

So it goes to show how insanely stupid and unbalanced armies used to be back then. I won't even start talking about Chaos dwarves.

My worst game ever was actually a win. It was something like Gwar!'s example only from the other side.

Tabled my IG opponent with mech Eldar without loosing even one KP. Don't remember if I lost even a single model. That was just no fun at all. Everything because of Dice Gods.
It was just ridiculous bad/good luck.

I was playing against someone, started off nicely. He was inreserves, I stole intiative, and spent two turns running over to his side. He rolled out his Eldar tanks, and in his first shooting phase, took out my Land Raider in an explosion, one rhino in an explosion, and wrecked my other two transports.

The remaining turns were spent shooting at him through cover, missing a lot, and losing my lascannon dreadnought in an explosion.

I did, however, learn an immense amount and actually enjoyed the game. Just loathed his luck.

Worst game ever for me was playing with my Necrons vs Noise Marines. The entire game all I accomplished was immobilizing a Vindicator and killing some random Marines. The Dice Gods utterly HAET my Necrons lol.
