To take that in 1K you need to have CCS, PCS, squad, squad (all no upgrades), Valk with no upgrades (so no rockets or heavy bolters) and 3x executioner with nothing except plasma sponsons (no hull lascannons)

I think my worst was either in my first game against tau when I lost due to the amount of time and my blood claws dying 5" from fire warriors after running. Or possibly the match stated in the thread that I was talking about DE in where my grey hunters were wiped out in 2 turns along with 4 of my 5 long fangs and both of my rune priests taking a wound leaving me with 20 men in reserves and 5 on the table. reserves arrived my turn 2 and in their turn 3 I lost my blood claws in 1 combat phase and the rest of my long fangs and a rune priest. The next pries followed suit. The battle finnished at turn 7 with me having 1 terminator left alive and all else dead. The terminator squad got 3 kill points, the rest of my army got 0 and he got 5 kill points. My total casualties from non terminators totalled 5 people (2 bikes and 3 warriors) and I think I was lucky not to go out on turn 2 :S

Hah, my mistake then. There was some argument at the table, but I took him at his word. One more question, is it a once per game deal or a regular weapon?

It is once per game in lieu of his normal attacks.

WTF? No story line. our match was a imperial assault on a tyranid/Tzneech held bastion. This nids were blinded by a chaos glamour that had them convinced that the Tzneeech warrior were just funny looking memebers of the swarm.

My friend shaun and I were playing against two of our other friends. I played CSM (plauge marine spam) and he played chaos daemons. It was his first time using daemons, so naturally,he sucked bowls.
The other team was SoB (land raider spam) and SM (dread and assault spam)
Half of his army was destroyed after Deep striking, and his bloodthirster only managed to kill 2 assault marines in CC. Terrible!
The other half of his army was blown up by a vindicator, and his entire 1000 point army was blown up in three turns. Such failure should not be tolerated. So he basically gives up,leaving about 1800 points of imperials to my 1000 point CSM army.
Since I was playing defensive (waiting for his deep striking units to clear out the tanks and snipers before I took out his closest units), I was left alone in the middle of the field, nowhere near my goal of 18 inches from a tank..
So he forfeits for me (which I didn't want at all, since I hadn't lost any models yet), and we lose. Wonderful...
But wait! There's more! I get called a coward because I wasn't playing the aggro enough! Are you kidding me? I'm a coward because I'm playing strategically when my partner is randomly deep striking and not playing his part? Yeah, right. I'm going to move at cruising speed every turn with my rhinos so you can blow them up with a lascannon? No thanks.
I could care less about losing, I just didn't wanted to be called a coward because I'm not aggro enough. All I had was two units of PMs. I'm not wasting them as targets for a lascannon.

You can take a Primaris Psyker, and two veteran squads for 185pts which fill the HQ and 2 troops slot. Valks and the 3 naked executioners are 670pts, which totals to 855pts. He can add another valkyrie and it'll still be legal/.

The worst game I've ever played was with Sisters of Battle using the Chapter Approved book before they had the Witch Hunters Codex. I was playing against Eldar. Had a retributor squad with heavy flamers (you could have them back then in those squads) mounted in an Immolator with a twin heavy flamer. We used to call those squads easybake ovens. They all popped out within flamer range of a squad of Vyper Jetbikes, and did 2 hits each flamer because they are open topped. Wiped them out, and the rest of his army followed suit. It was a 1500 point game, total annihilation, not one unit was left on his side, I only lost 6 models.
Those are the worst games. Your opponent doesn't enjoy it and I sure don't because it isn't a challenge. Could be just due to poor planning, bad rolls/saves or anything else.

Aha. That's it then. I assumed that it must be a small blast since he used it twice. I figured either it was a small template whenever or a large blast once per game. Either way, should be a lesson to me to read special character rules.

My buddies and I had gotten together for a 4,000 point game, me and my buddy running Orks and Tau and our opponents CSM and IG. At the end of our first turn one of our opponents said he had to leave. And by the end of my second assault phase I had taken out both my enemy's Khorne Chaos Lord (unfortunate incident involving a unit of Nobz and a 1 on his Daemon Weapon roll) and Ahriman (Deff-Dread related accident).
My remaining opponent failed his morale check and left.

Kill team, today. The bulk of my points went into a 5 man squad of pathfinders. They were all in terrain that gave them 2+ cover saves. 4 of them ended up rolling ones to save on the very first shot made at them, and those 4 only managed to make one wound through the entire game.
Thankfully, the last pathfinder, at the very end of the map (in fact, the one that's in my sig), managed to be quite the badass before he went down.

Actually, your suggested list is also illegal, as it only has one troop choice.
CCS - 50
Veterans - 70
Veterans - 70
Valkyrie - 100
3x Executioner w/plasma sponsons - 690
Leaves 20 points left over for upgrades.

No, that's 210 points (70+70+70). Valks and the 3 naked executioners are 670pts, which totals to 855pts. He can add another valkyrie and it'll still be legal/.
The executioners weren't naked as he was firing 15 plasma cannon shots per turn. CCS 50 Vets 70 Vets 70 Valk 100 Exec+ plas sponsons 230 Exec+ plas sponsons 230 Exec+ plas sponsons 230 980 points. And that's with no upgrades to anything except for the plasma sponsons. With typical upgrades that army would be 1100-1200points - I think the OP got hosed by his friend.

Back at the begining of 4th, my second game at the Atlanta GT, I was playing a soft DA army with my Death Guard. I have set up for the checkmate. I charge in my GUO(back when they had 6 wounds!) against a unit of 5 assault marines w/fist. He has the initiative so swings with 8 attacks. He rolls 6 hits, and the procedes to roll 6 6's. WOW! Right? Well I then fail all 6 of my 4++ and lose the GUO. Cost me the game. Luckily I still took 2nd in overall points and best sportsman

It wasn't so much a worst game, as a worst tournament. It was a big 2nd edition tournament that was the culmination of our summer-long campaign. By this point, my Sorcerer Lord had swelled to ridiculous power levels, wielding a power fist and force sword, scooting around 24" a turn, 2+ invulnerable save, etc. He was brutal in close combat, and his magic could destroy squads at a time (I loved the spell that ignored all armor, and for every kill spawned a Horror, which when killed spawned two horrors of its own). He also had a vortex grenade just in case he came across something equally horrendous.
Well, in all four of the tournament games, every time he tried to throw the vortex grenade, I rolled a 1 to hit, and then hit and misfire on the scatter dice, depositing the template of insta-death right at his feet. The chance of that happening one time is 0.5%, and it happened FOUR TIMES IN A ROW! The odds are something like one in two billion. The entire LGS was baffled. The only way we were able to explain it is that Tzeench needed his guy in the warp RIGHT THE feth NOW, and eating a vortex grenade was the fastest way to accomplish that.
Needless to say I immediately bought a few lottery tickets. I did win some money, but it was just enough to cover the cost of the lottery tickets. :(

This game was not necessarily the worst game ever for me but for my opponent. He plays necrons and EVERY single turn he fired 20 gauss shots at my terminators. And every time 10 hit and zero wounded. His nightbringer got killed by my drop podding sternguard squad turn 1. His monolith exploded in a lucky lascannon shot turn 1. His necron lord with resurrection orb got instant deaded by a force weapon in turn 2. And by turn 3 all he had left was 5 necron warriors running for their lives and a scarab swarm in combat with my assault squad. He forfeited.

My worst was 2,000 pts, my Plague Marines against IG plasma leafblower with two or three of token vet squads. I stupidly grouped 20 lesser Daemons into a single unit, they deviated into difficult terrain and were lost, my summoned greater Daemon didn't show up until turn 5, all three of my rhinos got blown up by turn 2, two of my three predators got blown up by turn three and my poor plague marines got ground down by dozens of those damned plasma cannons. I did better against that same enemy with Orks, running three battlewagons with deff rollas and two big meks with KFF!!! And that's why the CSM's are collecting dust.

Hmmmm... I think my worst game ever was probably down to the person I was playing. It was a Space Wolves (him) versus Orks (me) game. There was this guy who used to come down to my local store now and again, and he clearly had some serious anger issues. Normally, this would be scary, except this guy also posed as much physical threat as does a nice bowl of delicious custard. Anyway, we were playing a game, and he basically kept going fething crazy every time he lost a single model. He'd say stuff like "Orks cannot shoot, they're rubbish at it, how are you killing my guys?!" and go into some hissy fit or other, at one stage even accusing me outright of dice rigging. I wouldn't care, but it wasn't as if he was actually losing the game; it was dead even. Eventually he left after I told him to "stop your whining." Not an enjoyable experience at all.

I played a 2000pts game against old Blood Angles (before the new codex). I just got whooped. Admittedly it was one of my first games of warhammer, maybe the 4th or something. I was wiped out to a man by turn 4.
Deathcompany + Dante and his honor guard took out my combat chosen + lord + beserkers. Not to mention having my dreads both role fire frenzy in the first turn!

Worst game? That's easy. My worst game ever was played against my greatest enemy ever - the diabolical Tau. Now until this point, after many, many games against two friends who both played Tau I had yet to lose a game. I say that not to brag, but more of a way of highlighting the deficiencies inherent in the original Tau Codex. In any case, all games except for one (a draw) had ended in crushing victories for me. In fact, one more than one occasion I had used naught by a 3rd Ed Codex Space Marine Chaplain to destroy entire Tau armies single-handedly. So after this I was truly due a loss, and to say that karma was waiting in a dark corner for me would be an understatement... It started with the best of circumstances. The mission we were to play would be the 3rd Ed one where you got 1 Troops Choice at the start, and then everything else came in from reserves. I had selected Imperial Guard, taking a Steel Legion army. My ‘1 Troops Choice’ was actually 55-men and 6 Chimeras, backed up by 4 Sentinels (as they started on the table). Opposing me was a squad of Fire Warriors in a Devilfish and 2 units of Pathfinders in Devilfish. I had more firepower on the table at the start of the game than most armies have in toto! And with Demolishers, more infantry and a Callidus Assassin waiting in the wings, surely this would be another crushing victory for the Imperium of Man. Things started to go wrong almost immediately. Within a turn I had lost three Sentinels, I believe I had 4 Chimeras left, and only three were mobile. Squads had taken casualties and I had caused no damage at all. I could not roll above a 3. We all witnessed it (there were about 2-3 other people watching this game), and they had watched my inability to roll anything above a three. Eventually, with most of my initial forces in complete disarray, I played one of my trump cards. One of my Demolishers rumbled on (passing Reserve Rolls had proven to be very difficult) and unleashed its fury upon the accursed blue-skinned freaks. I scattered, one of the few 6’s I rolled that game, directly onto myself. The result? No dead Tau, one annihilated Demolisher. Finally the Callidus arrived, and with it a renewed hope that I could once again best the Tau menace. It would not be as resounding a victory as the ones I had enjoyed in the past, but one does not quibble over victory, especially when it is the Tau you are defeating. The Callidus was a well-loved unit of mine, the deeds of whom go on and on for pages. Her greatest triumph was when he held off an entire Ulthwe Strike Force army by herself, darting back and forth between units, keeping entire Squadrons of vehicles shaken with her Neural Shredder. My opponent could not believe how this single Assassin so easily picked apart his army – the other 1850-ish points of Guard had done little, and she had not needed their help. So, with that most triumphant and glorious victory behind her, the Callidus picked her first target of the game – a squad of weakling Stealth Suits. They would be no match for the one-two punch of Neural Shredder and C’Tan Phase Sword. Their certain doom was only one Night Fight Test away. Wait… what do you mean I can’t see them. In horror I recheck my dice – the lowest possible result. I had failed a sighting test with a flamer weapon. Oh the shame… oh the ignominy. My Callidus had failed to eliminate the pathetic Stealth Suits… and then died the following turn, probably more out of shame than due to the Burst Cannon bolts ripping through her body. That moment, my friends, was the final straw. My army was in shambles. Most of the things that had been in reserve were still in reserve, and what was left of my forces (the Sentinels were gone by now) were either immobile, weaponless, running away or simply couldn’t hit anything. I think I maybe killed most of a Pathfinder Squad, a Devilfish or two and even, if I am generous, a Crisis Suit, but the game was over. Despite the previous victories, despite the deck being stacked heavily in my favour, my dice abandoned me and I could do nothing to regain the momentum. I conceded at the bottom of Turn 4… my army in ruins, and thus I had finally lost to the Tau!!!

4th ed. Guard versus my big brother's 3rd ed. speed freaks. He got first turn. I never fired a shot everybody was locked down by trukkboyz before I even got to move. Back in the days before reserves. Ugh that was unsightly. Come to think of it, my 4th ed. Guard never really did well against anything except bad players. They got so much better now that people can't hide from you by following up into cc (after I switched armies of course they become a tier 1 powerhouse....) sigh...

My worst game was because of the player, not the game itself. It was his Space Wolves against my Guard, and in the end he only won by a small margin. But during the game, whenever he lost a single figure ( mainly Space Wolves Scouts, I'm not sure of the exact name) he would begin to curse profusely. He continued to mock me whenever I did not hit with all my shots, and would gloat when he killed even a singe guardsman ( It took until turn 3 for him to kill anything). He made shoting noises and mocked my guardsmen, and even broke one of my snipers when he randomly picked it up in the game. His figures were also basecoated with random sploches of sky blue on them, with a good amount of running paint. I am fine with losing, (this was only my 3rd game at the store) but he proceded to interrupt other peoples games to tell them he won.
I have actually had one figure, a guardsman with sniper rifle, who I have used in about 5 games who has consistently gotten 1's either to hit or to wound, with only 1 or2 times it has wounded and they have alway gotten their armour saves. One of my friends has even used in a game against me, and he got 1's for all exept one time in the game.

Gwar! wrote:So, I just had, quite literally, the worst game I have EVER had.
Was playing Dual Autarch Mechdar vs Chaos Mahrines.
End of Turn 4, I had half my Army in ruins, and I had managed to Stun a Predator.
Oh, and he immobilized another pred on some Spess Trees. I literally did not make a Single cover save the entire game, while he made 8 Smoke saves on one of his Predators. Everything else I fired either missed or Failed to wound. And my First Fire Prism Shot wiped out 1/3 of my armies fire dragons.
So, here is a thread for you to whine about crappy games!
Go!
PAH! Try playing Tau Vs Eldar and going the entire game shooting a single Character with everything your army has and not even scoring a single wound on ANYTHING they have.
Going an entire game with tons of shots hitting and wounding but not killing a single thing and the game lasted 6 turns.

my first tournament at my FLGS. 1850pts an experinced players with a really really nice chaos army vs noob me and my grey crimson fists. i lost all but a rhino and 5 marines, i killed 2 marines and a demon prince (although he took off 2 of the wounds through stray defiler shots)
I just failed dice and tactics wise, but the person i played against was a really cool guy and after the game helped me refine my list and taught me some tactics
game was objectives he had them all

For some reason, I have NEVER succeeded with my farseer's mindwar power. It should be such a no brainer, easy easy kill on a 50% chance. It baffles me, because at worst its Ld10 vs. Ld10... I still take it though... hoping for that one chance to shine.
