Hey Guys,

I've got two sets of AoBR termies, and I want to put some cyclone missile launchers on them! Problem is, I don't have suitable items in my (very very small) bitz bag or willing to spend 25 bucks for the battlewagon bitz cyclone missile launchers.

What do you suggest? I was thinking maybe using some sturdy cut-open cardboard (because it already has the ''rack'' looking thing there already) and making some aluminum/something missiles.

Any Ideas? We have some creative people on these forums!

I think given the square bulky nature of the launchers it wouldn't be too difficult to mock up your own version from plasticard if you have and spare parts from marine sets like the tactical squad box there are small missiles in there that could be cut off to represent the missile heads in your launchers. Just an idea i'm no master at this kind of thing.

Goto the dollar store and buy the cheapest most god aweful click pens you can find. The click pens use smaller ink tubes that would be a good size for making some missile launchers. Tack about 5 or so together (old whirlwind style) for each side and presto your done. The only problem you will run into is the ink thats inside the tubes. But with some thinking you can keep the mess from being a mess

Find a dark angels player that bought the Ravenwing box(whatever it is called, the box with 5 bikes, attack bike and land speeder). It comes with three DA upgrade srpues each of whcih has a typhoon upgrad. With a little cutting the typhoon launchers each make a nice cycloe proxy ... because ... go figure they are cyclones!

You might be able to bit order them .. cheaper than other methods of getting cyclones new, but probably a little more than your willing to shell out.

Also, hit up choas players for any unused havoc launchers. They look pretty decent as cyclones as well.

Personally I think those look a bit ridiculous as those are WAY to big for those termies. But that would allow you to give the finger to your opponent every turn thats for sure

I use the missile launcher from the sentinel sprue.. its very nice and compact.. Just a launcher with 4 missiles that fit perfectly on the top of a terminator

I think it would take some work, but trimming down a single typhoon missile pod will look a little more proportional and yield twice as many cyclone launchers.

The chaos havoc launcher look okay but not as good as the boxy loyalist stuff.

"Well, isn't the enemy of your enemy, like, your friend? Or whatever? Can't they team up?"
"Not exactly. In this setting, the enemy of your enemy is still a floating, greasy, armored brain."
"Well, what about his enemy? Maybe you could be friends with him."
"No, because that guy is a mechanical horror in an undying battle shell. He sails from world to world in a flying tomb, serving gods who eat hope."

agreed. it might look a bit better with only one launcher per terminator; still oversized but at least not ridiculously so.

Yeah one missile launcher would definitely look better... more cost affective too.
