More Ultramarine goodies coming up. We'll kick off with a rhino, forgeworld doors, tamiya stowage / tarps with some old RT-era rhino boxes for nostalgia's sake. Gunner / Storm Bolter cupola is replaceable. Note, this is WIP, not varnished yet, hence the glossiness in places. I'll probably sharpen up the lettering on the side, too.

Very clean paintjob. Looking good. Only thing that looks a bit off to me is the gunner being red. I dont know much about the UltraMarines but are the tank crews red or was this just your choice? I'd would have gone for white. Other than that everything else looks nice.. and this is just MY opinion good sir

They're technically not techmarines, but are instead affiliated with the Adeptus Mechanicus of Mars. However it is therefore possible to paint the gunner as a fully fledged techmarine, tank crew or a vanilla battle-brother who just happens to be mounting the gun.
On the model front how do you achieve the soot on the back doors and exhausts. If it was a powder could you let us know which brand. Looks awesome btw. can't wait too see more.

It's not very apparent in these photos (taken at night), but there are 2 different whites on the go:
The white arrows are marked out in pencil using a vernier caliper and a piece of styrene strip as a straight edge. Blocked in with VMC pale grey and highlighted up in a rough blend to VMC foundation white.
The U's on the forgeworld bits and the inside of the hatches are shadow grey blended through space wolf grey to skull white.

Nice weathering, It doesn't look too realistic with the bags and boxes on the top if it were real they'd just roll off.

Here's the magnetificated and forgeworlded predator. I'm in the process of putting together another .pdf tutorial showing how the magnetising was done, and how to handle 'When Forgeworld Parts Go Wrong ( tm)'.

winterdyne, you are a true artist. You paint better than I ever even would or could I think. Superb work. I truly mean that, so no 'meaningful' criticism follows..
IMO, the Tanks aren't Blue enough. Like Blue dude. I have a sterotyped image in my own head, so srry.
But they do look super realistic, the weathering is like a film Model.
And the Assault Marine Squad is looking awesome, nice conversions indeed!
Nice- I'll be watching with interest!

Just a small update with some pics of the sergeant and flying marine post-gs. Everything's not been set up for spraying so there probably won't be any photos till the middle of next week, when things will start getting finished.

As each pose is unique, I guess the only advice I can give is practice greenstuffing joins when you cut legs up to repin and reposition.
