I had the idea that the vehicle would be in ‘cruise’ mode with guns stowed while a spotter finds the next target in range. This fitted well with the bits I had lying around! Below are some pics with the turret, plus my vehicle camo scheme and a few other details.

The extended turret is made of the tail section of a Lancaster bomber, while the stowed burst cannons are derived from stealth suit and drone bits.

I’m still not sure about how to model the 2 marker-lights. I’d like them to be removable if possible: but don’t want to splash out on any extra sprues (for the moment anyway). I was thinking of using the long antennae supplied with the devilfish, but no real direction as yet.

Okay, I like the paint scheme.

But, I don't like the turret too much. It might need some greenstuff to blend it more smoothly into the hammerhead turret base.

I like the drone/burst cannon turret things.

The engines are on upside down, I notice the drones pushing them out. I assume its on purpose that they are upside down, were you just moving them further up on the model?

I like the idea of a spotter.

I think you can make this work really well, it's always nice to see converted models as they stand out. I would just work on the turret a bit more, it could probably be shortened to be more compact with the devilfish chassis.

Rather non-areodynamic for Tau.
