Mm. Hadn't seen those new Eldar jetbikes. Pretty sweet. It would be nice if they could get Jes Goodwin involved in the DE as it really seems right up his alley. But they really need to get their fluff-boat together and give these folks something more interesting background-wise if they want to re-release them.

Those are definitely some pretty DE greens, but considering how rarely you see Homunculi in competitive DE armies, I'm not sure what re-sculpts of them really means.

That Eldar Jetbike is making me regret buying the parts to make Shining Spears on converted Jetboards.

Those don't look like unreleased models, their style is a lot different than the current Haemonculi.

With the amount of rumours hinting at a forthcoming DE release I don`t really think so.

In fact the Dark Eldar Warrior I happen to have on my desk tells me this.

That being said there have been so many reports from people who have talked to Jes that it`s no secret the DE are being worked on. But from what I see the schedule isn`t known outside the GW studio.

Would this talking Dark Eldar model have said anything about the new Eldar jetbike being for both races ? In a manner similar to the way that the Rhino is used for both Imperial and Chaos through the addition of add on sprues ?

i doubt it anyway because in marine and chaso cahos its the same vehicle jsu tused on different sides
technically the eldar bikes are differnt vehicles.

The Eldar and Dark Eldar Jetbikes would only need different riders, different forward canopies, different rear wing vanes, and different weapons.

Aside from that, they're completely interchangable.

In fact all they'd ned is a sprue with a different head and possibly a few weapon options to replace the clearly separate weapon pod on the shown model, a few spikes/chains as well and voila an EVIL (because spikes and chains are evil 'member) Eldar bike.

I'd bet, weapon options aside, that even if it's as part of the "streamlining" process going on that DE and "light" (?) Eldar bikes get the same rules.

Why are you pointing me to Warseer, when I was the one who gave the link to the very same pictures on Dakka?

And no, it won't do to just replace the Guardian head, because then you've got a Dark Eldar Wych wearing Guardian armour.

Similarly, you stll need the new canopy and wings, or you've got a Dark Eldar Wych riding a Craftworld Eldar Jetbike.

But yes, the Dark Eldar will get spikes & chains, should the DE ever get new Jetbikes (unlikely, as they already have plastics and no new investment is warranted based on current sales).

And yes, the Dark Eldar will follow the Eldar Jetbike rules, should the DE ever get a new Codex (again, unlikely, as nobody in the Studio really loves the Dark Eldar enough to get them done as a pet project).

If it's a kit to serve both races I find it idiotic. The Dark Eldar have their own imagery and that jetbike doesn't quite fit in.

Besides, am I the only one thinking that it's really, really stupid (not to mention bad for your neck) to have a conehead helmet on that kind of bike? (And on the "old" ones, too...)

I bet they're two different packages based on the same undercarriage as JohnHwangDD suggests. Redoing the other bits and casting second mold would be a better biz move for GW than packaging the bikes with options for either army, and seeing magnets make them totally interchangeable. Not that _I_ wouldn't want to see that (it would be awesome to have all the extra bitz floating around too), but they're looking to line their pockets more and multi-purpose kits won't help with that.

although the bike don't look too different from the current one squads should not look too odd next to each other.

I agree with the comments that the new dark eldar might look more like normal eldar in the new codex... maybe...

Yeah, the best (i.e. most obvious) approach would to put 3 common Jetbike cores on one sprue, and then pack in either a Eldar or Dark Eldar "personalization" sprue with the army-specific bitz.

This would let GW sell them as a unit of 3 Jetbikes on larger sprues, rather than screwing around with individual Jetbike sprues.

I rather expect GW to go the big route...BAM! There's the new Craftworld Jetbike box with parts for a Farseer, Warlock or shining spears. And BAM! There is the evil version of the Dark Eldar, completely different and evil of course!

This one box for two thing wouldn't help Dark Eldar out of the codex-corner and this is not what GW wants for their neglected children anymore (see Orks for an example, shiny new models everywhere).
