If I were you, I'd use Imperial Armour as your reference. Apocalypse Datasheets are not a good source for Fluff.

And traditionally, a Baneblade company is 3 superheavy tanks.

and what makes the imperial armour(forgeworld owned by gw) more true than the wd(owned by gw also)??
all those story,s about that its a seperate compagny and stuff well i don,t buy that. if gw wants a model to do in plastic than fw has to take that, and its final.

according to imperial armour a regiment would be 13 baneblades in that case.

3 company,s of 3 plus with each a command blade makes 12 plus the HQ blade.

well to each his own.
-the white dwarf said it
-the new reload books says it
-the gw site datasheets says it
-and even when you look closely to the explanation the imperial armour 1 gives you see that lieutanant stoss is the squadron commander and that other tank with that kaptain is the HQ TANK.
so its nothing more than a squadron of three with one tank as command tank and the fourth one is a HQ tank.

i keep it with the 3x3 tanks and a regimental command tank order for my superheavy regiments

i keep drooling on those nice macharius models of you people.

The (A4-format) IA book is older, therefore more canon.

only if you say so

that warren guy from fw said in the imperial armour apocalypse book, that some things about the points and all are seriously changed for apocalypse.
in other words, the old books are nice but not suitable for apocalypse if you play with those models.

you just want to believe what ia1 says, well its says pretty much the same thing as the steel fury datasheet.

1 kaptain(hq tank)
1 lieutanant(squadron command tank
1 lieutanant(normal blade
1 lieutanant(normal blade

add in another 6 blades and you get 2 command blades and 4 normal blades

its all good.

its FOR THE EMPEROR.

Um, it's not IA1. It's IA, before there was an IA2 and the books got embiggened.

And that Datasheet was probably put together over the course of a gruelling morning coffee in about half an hour while he designer was still half asleep.

I wouldn't put much faith into whatever shows up in WD or an Apoc Data sheet. The way GW writes fluff these days makes me think that the guy doing it is someone with Alzheimer's and a pen that they've set on fire.

Warwick may know less about writing rules than most of the GW Dev Team, but at least he thinks about what he's writing when it comes to the fluff before he writes it so that there's a level of internal consistency.

Overall a company of Superheavies is 4 tanks, and that's it. There isn't a larget form of organisation above that that we've been introduced to. I'm only doing 10 because I don't want to buy 12...

Good book Imperial Armour

We had only IA and IA2 here (germany)directly sold by GW,all the others have to be from FW (online or phone)

Is that not normal conditions for GW-designers?

To know a thing or two about military vehicles helps a lot to get Tanks acting like Tanks.

I'll find a excuse for 12 if theres plenty of sources without consistency..

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1
