whats everyones thoughts on a gamer that plays to crush an opponnt rather than playing a nice game?

Glad to hear it was a close game Stelek. It was just a pick up game but it sounds like you had fun. As usual dont worry about the haters there will always be someone out there with nothing better to do than worry about you.

just a few people dont like the way ill charge into them with nids while keeping behind terrain to stop high loses due to shooting.
apparently it wasnt fair 0_o

I don't blame Parker for totally thrashing Stelek. I would not want to be on the receiving end of his sh*t talking if he were to win.

Yeah, some players don't like people who fight tactically.

ok, that changes alot, if your willing to spend time trash talking then you deserve to lose badly.
if someone ever done that to me i would make sure i humilliated them, overkilled thier units where and when ever possible, and laughed at thier bad dice rolls if any.
(ok, last one is childish, but a slight payback for the trash talking)

i get complaints about my style of play, not the way i talk to other players.

Stelek trash talks here on a regular basis.

Absolutely.

Some players have a plan inside their head about how the game is going to work. It involves the enemy doing exactly what they set their force up to counter. When the enemy doesn't oblige, that's bad sportsmanship or rules-lawyering.

i make sure i play pretty randomly aganst an enemy, making sure i dont play how they want me to.
one example of this is my fex bounding towards a wraithlord, then changing direction and killing his scorpion unit.
apparently i should of kept going to the wraithlord since changing my tactics is a cheap trick.

may be cheap, but kep him guessing all game, and i got a massacre from it in the process

paper versus scissors... So much for the meta game dude.

I don't think anyone expected Stelek to win. I'm more interested in what people had to say about Andy Sutton, and whether he acts like Stelek does on this forum.

Stelek boxed clever, he took a soft/fun list.

If he won he could boast "I won with a soft list."
if he lost he could claim "I lost because I had a fun list."

I'm not saying anything by this... I like steleks contribution to dakka.
If anything it shows how smart he is when being harassed by gang of gamers to prove himself.
