Dude, that thing is WAY outta scale, by the Apoc book, it should be about twice the height of the warhound, or 24 inches, but I guess there is nothing wrong with making something that scares the out of your enemy because of it's size

The Apoc book itself is out of scale when you compare the space marines to the scale vehicles they have.
Realise one thing and this is very important. GW makes this stuff up as they go along. The only correct scale is the one that makes the builder happy.

I think it's looking great, are you going to add any lights/sounds or cockpit details?

But on the other hand, the warhounds weapons do look ridiculously small in the carapace mounts they're supposed to slot in to.

I wish I'd thought to leave room for interior detail and electronics, but it doesn't look like I'll be able too on this one.
Maybe on the Reaver I'm planing at the moment.
I made a terminator with a motorised assault cannon ages ago and that looked amazing (though it did vibrate round in circles )

Bit basic, but most of it ended up as guess work, but pi and Pythagoras came in helpful

Right, Started painting the right leg.

The plan is to work up from a ruddy brown to a mechanicus red.



Sadly the paint has warped some of the cardboard, so I'll have to coat the next part I do with watered down PVA before I spray them

problem there. I think the watered down PVA glue will also warp the cardboard.

and thats why i use plastic

on a more helpful note ... any thing will warp card you basicly want to seel it and dry it quickly before the liquid gets sucked into the card ... a hair dryer is your friend

found this for £6.99 in a local modeling shop;




1:48 scale, so a little too big, but fitted either like this;



or I can build an over the shoulder launch gantry,
and possibly make it capable of fitting on a basilisk carriage to form a Deathstrike Missile Launcher from the Lords of Battle Supplement

Taken a bit of a sabbatical on this project over Christmas, what with all the revision i wasn't doing.

I even managed a couple of games with it over the holidays, mostly with my friends using my old 5 stompa army, and yes the Gatling mega blaster was completely useless against them.

I'm beginning to thing a titan CCW would be fun, but pretty rubbish against any 'normal' apocalypse army

That is just insane, this one is looking pretty good. I've never liked the look of this version, to thin and boxy.
