They should let Saurus throw their Spears like Javelins (@ say S4 BS2) but what do I know.

Javelins are too light weight and brittle to work as spears, and spears are too heavy to be thrown far.

They are Saurus! They get an extra attack just from their jaw. BS2 is suitable. Strong and armour piercing just a little wide. It is only 8". They could be armour-piercing at half range but better to charge at 8" probably. Not to derail the thread.

The point (haha) being they currently pay 2 points extra each to take spears and they are not even that great. +1 Attack from the second rank when they already get two attacks each in the front. Hand Weapons give them +1 to their armour save. Maybe swap spears for free was the option I always liked.

But their second attack comes from biting, I don't have a problem with that. If they leave blessed spawning troops as core then you can customize your saurus to do pretty much anything. I am looking forward to the Dino Rider armies we will see out of this if the rumors pan out.

I was a little worried when I saw that Cold-Blooded was going to change to Lizardmen only getting 2 dice to roll on - that's one of their characteristic features! One of the best things about the army! Glad to hear it's not going to change.

Seems a little silly to me that mounted Skinks get "Heavy Spears" ne Lances while mounted Saurus do not.

And from the rules list, it looks to me like GW wants to sell lots and lots and lots of Stegadons (good thing I just traded for an army with three of them!)

i allways take kroak

but make sure the rest of my hero's are skink shamen

wear them down with pointless spells, then hit them with the ruination of cities and watch as enemy units die fairly quick.
great for siege aswell since if he hits any fortification its destroyed XD

hmm.... anyone know if they're redoing the skinks? Or just repackaging? I just bought a box, I was gonna get started on my army now I worry they're gonna end up all looking different :( .. though I guess I could count one type as chameleons or something?

if they're just repacking em is it to add different weapon sprues? like for bows? Are they gonna have less in a box? I kinda like how there's 24 in a box now...

anyone know yet?

i think so.
possibly with a few little things added (glyph's ect.)
im guessing the razordon is slightly larger than a cold one, but pretty similar in looks.
if so ill buy some DE cold ones boxes and start converting

well the new lizardmen cold ones are bound to be almost exactly the same so i thought the larger model gives you a good idea of what they'll be like.

Lizardmen got new Cold Ones during the Lustria campaign several years back.

I liked the old metal cold ones, thought the first plastic ones were ok, thought the new plastic lustria heads were stupid looking, and think the new ones for the Dark Elves are just awesome looking.

the old metal ones were great, but no matter what, i still think the new DE ones are the best, and will be used for my skink cold one riders.

This coming from a guy who's forum name is Foda Bett? Come on, originality is lost in modern society.. Think about all the special characters in the Lizardmen armies. They are all predominantly word plays of one type or another.. Inxi Huichi, is one that comes to mind right off the bat.
