Did you read the whole post Jonh? They mentioned that it looked like there was a transporter option in the kit. So crank up those price estimates people.

This is all I could recover from BLoS...:

"One of our lucky readers scored this video of the plastic Thunderhawk being assembled at GW HQ. And, if you look closely in the background..."

And that's the end of the quote.

So the fact that SM players have no super-heavy is unimportant to GW? And that includes BA, BT, SW, DA and Inq (So Inq can use Valks for their Stormtroopers...do GKs just walk to a Daemon attack?). All these super-heavies are single race ie Ork Stompa, IG 'Blades, IG Valks? And I'll be a Plague Marine before I make a Fellblade.

It could be worse...my bolter could only wound you. In which case I'd have to finish it.

SM players can field Allied Warhound Titans, same as any other Imperial force.

Valks aren't Superheavies - they're simply Flyers, soon to be (Fast?) Skimmers.

GK pretty much always Deep Strike. Of course, GK shouldn't really be an army list per se - they're better as a Apocalypse Datasheet than anything else.

Oh, c'mon. It's not like Guard and Orks are hogging the release schedule with half of the Codices, so why not be happy that the Guard and Orks finally get some cool stuff once in a while. IMO, it's OK if the 40k spotlight drifts off the SM once in a while. The world won't end and GW won't fold up, and the spotlight will surely make its way back to the SM soon enough.

Toche JW. I see your point. But I disagree on the point of the GK. But as always it's just my opinion.

Pff, I was the only one who voted $600, the current FW price.

You guys watch...hey, they have to recoup those mold costs somehow, and it's a model that most people won't get more than one of. And besides, it's plastic! It's worth $600 for the conversion possibilities alone!

Christ this is an old thread, why'd you post in this after 5 months?

With the new Valk engines, along with the Baneblade bitz, I think it's easier than ever to kitbash a Thunderhawk in plastic.

If they can make and sell a stompa for $90 (I love mine by the way), and have a planet strike force coming out for $1066 (yes I know they are only normal SM issue sprues, but still), I do not see why Space Marines cant have a plastic thunderhawk, even more so with it being one of the more popular races played.

I would gladly pay $250-$300 for one. Hell I may buy two.

But resin is way to fragile to spend $600 on.

The very idea that there won't be a plastic Thunderhawk is kind of ludicrous.

...

Mark my words, within the next 5 years, GW *will* sell a plastic Thunderhawk. Of that, there is no question in my mind.
____

The big question is pricing. What do you think?

They'll release one a day after five years has passed just to piss in yer cornflakes.

And it'll cost $20.
