edit: I mean the new Turtles movie...
It was kinda "meh". I wasn't too sure about the animation... And April O'neill learning karate. But I enjoyed it, at least it didn't involve a pointless romance to appeal to all the pre-pubs and emos (no offense meant at anyone here, I rather think that just being in Dakka qualifies everyone as above emo/pre-pub).
Hopefully Transformers 2 will drop Shia. Not too sure about Megan Fox, but hey, if it's about Transformers let it be about Transformers. I'm sure she'll be in other movies which will allow her to unveil her *ahem* talents.
And about Final Fantasy... It'd be a great movie (Spirits Within) if they dropped Final Fantasy from the name. People went there expecting a recognizable hero and a more threatning villain, instead they got something that looked more like a natural disaster, so no real sense of "adventure" here.
Advent Children... I don't know where it missed the mark. Maybe because it was too much about, well, expecting to see Sephiroth and Cloud still being all emo about Aeris and the rest of them just watching while Cloud gets owned by Seph and then pwns him back. Gotta admit that Omnislash was pretty cool, though...

Nothin doin. There's been shots and vids people have captured of the filming online for months showing both of them(they're at college).

honestly, it couldve been worse.
there was barely any love/ cuddly scenes going on in transformers .... compared to other "action" movies at least.
i thought it was fine as is.
then again, i dont have a problem with shia to begin with.

(Spoilers incase someone hasn't seen it, jeez guys )
Did it bother anyone else how aggressively they characterized Jazz as "urban", just to have him killed in the end fight? I had to stifle a knowing, self satisfied laugh when that happened.
Also, I liked the animated movie from way back mostly because when there was a firefight, transformers were actually hit, parts flew, and a few unfortunate fellows EXPLODED. Much more interesting than the series that usually had A-teaming galore.

Dakka. You need more of it. No exceptions.

What are you talking about? They're Space Marines, which are heroic. They need to be able to do all the heroic stuff. They fight aliens and don't afraid of anything. -Orkeosarus

Destrado wrote:The movie would be good if it wasn't for the FBI guy, the whole "this matrix powers up thingies so they become violent human killers" and the idiotic romance "side-story" (more like main story) with the detestable Shia LaBeouf.
The Transformer parts are very well done but I won't fool myself saying it was good just because it was a Transformers movie. The soundtrack didn't even leave a mark and I couldn't simpathize with any of the human characters.
I thought that, when the Final Fantasy movie was coming out, it'd be the greatest. Then, Advent Children. Then, the Corpse Bride. I found that my favourite movies end up being the most unexpected ones (Lucky Number Slevin, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Big Fish, La Vita É Bella) and never the ones related to anything from my childhood (well, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were an obvious exception, apart from the 3rd )
Are you actually made of like frozen stones and rocks and stuff? Did you even watch the same film as me? Crikey, I get a lump in my throat watching that film.
Mind, most of the films you listed I thought were "meh", whereas I totally loved films like Hellboy, Hellboy II, Underworld and Underworld: Evolution, and others that you probably hated as well. :S

You think you had it bad ? I was given Sunstreaker as my third transformer-- Starscream and Brawn being the first ones, I replayed the ( I think) Enemy Within storyline from the comics a lot-- and he spent almost his entire time in the sickbay "offline". To this day I'm convinced there's a whole union of underused transformers just waiting to form.

We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Well, I didn't dislike Hellboy II (you see a big jump from Hellboy I, thanks to Guillermo del Toro making Pan's Labyrinth, which increased his "credit", if you get my drift). Also I don't dislike action/hero movies, it's just that some could've been so much better if they hadn't tried to make them audience friendly, which is to say, trying to gather the lowest rating and putting in any type of sentimental stuff ... I just don't buy it (don't sweat it though, one of my best buds' favorite movie is Armaggeddon, and guess what his fav song is ), but I don't have any problem with anyone who likes it. Unless it's Van Helsing. Or the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
I cried at the end of La Vita É Bella. And when Mufasa died in Lion King (though I was only, what, eleven at the time).
So I'm not insensitive.

Sorry, but I love the latest Transformer Movie.
If there is one thing I genuinely, positively, absolutely cannot stand is just a plain old rehash of something from my childhood. Be it a particularly piss poor song cover, or a film based on one of my favourite cartoons please please please do not just 'update' it.
Change it. Make it relevant to today. Reimagine the whole thing, only keeping in the core. That way, it's a new baby, and not some shocking ressurected corpse with '2000' scrawled next to every bit of wording....

Van Helsing and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen were AWESOME!!! On a Scale of 1 - Flash Gordon on the fething ace films scoring scale, they were both healthy 11s.

I'm an emo little crying wuss because I don't have emotions, let me whine and cry about it in a 20 minute soliloquy! Also, vampire babies!" "Hey, I'm the Arch-angel Gabriel made human! I'm also totally not related to the Van Helsing in the book because we completely ignored the book to make this tripe!"

Still the greatest movie EVER MADE.
Greatest movie ever made? It isn't even the greatest Transformers movie ever made.

My roommate honest-to-god has seen this movie around two hundred times. He went through a phase when he was about eight when he watched it every day.
Edit: I walked out of the new Transformers movie. So the US government somehow reverse engineered silicon processors and combustion engines from nano-tech robots... right because that would work.
