My greatest loss was back in the 4th against Necrons. I think it was my second game ever against a destroyer heavy army... But I enjoyed the battle and had a lot of fun^^

My greatest victory was when I just gotten 1,000 points of Dark Elves, and I was playing against Brettonnia. He had 2 Regiments of knights, and all I had was my sorceress and my Cold One Knights who could possibly kill them. She died on turn 2, and the board was really small, (like, 2' by 3'ish,) and he was about to charge my Cold Ones when he failed his fear test, ran through another unit of knights, which ran off the board, and I flanked his knights with 20 Corsairs, and kill 4 of them, while losing only 2 corsairs, who ran into his Men at arms, and his pegasus, and basically killed his bowmen. It was awesome. couldn't ask for anything better . Had he passed his fear test, I would have died.

My greatest win was probably waaaay back in 5th edition Fantasy. My opponent ran a chaos lord on a chaos dragon, a Tzeentch sorcerer on a disc, a 5-6 man unit of centaurs, 3-4 trolls, a Lord of Change, 5 Chaos Knights, and a Chaos Chariot. My army consisted of a huge unit of Ghosts, a unit of zombies, Arkhan the Black, Heinrich Kemmler, a wraith champion with the sword of destruction, and a couple of other hero characters.

I get first turn, and during the first magic phase, I get the Total Power card, which I use to cast Wind of Death (I believe that was the name of it). I bring it in on his table edge by his lord on the dragon. It kills the lord, kills the sorcerer, and kills a couple of the centaurs. The dragon rolls a 1 on it's reaction chart and flees off the table. Because the general is dead, his army now has to roll for panic. The centaurs fail their panic test and flee off the table. He then rolls for his Lord of Change, and rolls a 12, which causes the LoC to flee of the board edge. The Trolls with their Ld of 4 flee off the table, leaving only his chariot and knights left, which can't do anything to my unit of ghosts. He concedes, and we start a new game, with us setting up our units in the exact same way we had them in the first game.

Funny thing is, I get first turn again, and first magic phase I get the Total Power card again, which I use to promptly cast Wind of Death by bringing it in on his board edge next to his Lord again. This time, it doesn't do as much damage as it previously did, so we actually got to play a decent game. But he was sweating it there for a minute, thinking that we were going to have a repeat of the first game!

Greatest loss, 4th ed I was playing a friendly but tough Tau list against a 3 landraider Black Templar army. My broadsides rolled double 1s on the penning table three turns in a row and his champion got to challenge my commander. We called it on turn 4.

Greatest win, Helping a newbie set up his Tyranid army and then we end up on opposite sides of the table in 4th ed Apoc(We rolled for teams). This guy had grown up around the game as a little kid but stopped being involved when his older brother died(His older brother was how he was involved). I helped get him back into the game. Even though his side lost due to team mismatch and some of his lack of experience. He managed to get his very first ever Tank kill with a Carnifex because of some of the tactics I had shown him. The look on his face when he popped that 14 armor was the best.

worst loss: A few weeks ago in fantasy. I get to play about 3-4 games every 8 months or so. Anyway, I got wiped out by Ogres. In 5 turns I killed a single ogre.

Biggest win: against the guy who taught me 40k. he was a sweaty, smelly jerk who taught me a bunch of things wrong, and made things impossible for me to win. I realized this after I migrated to a different FLGS. A couple months later I played him first round in a tourney. I beat him by 13 points in a tourney with no draw bracket (you'd have to match points EXACTLY to draw, one point up was a win, one down was a loss). He was pissed off beyond words because "that's not a win that's a scout!"

That's what you get when you're a pin-head.

I dunno...

This is probably my most successful thread ever lol, BTW my Fantasy game today didn't go horribly wrong as my opponent only got VP for a Bloodcrusher, I got points for a whole dwarf unit and their captured banner! WIN. It was an incredibly satisfying win too, as throughout it all they were gloating about how they were gonna win, then we totalled up the VP's, hehehe...

Greatest win
Playtesting bassies versus the local TFG's warrior heavy necron list (3 turns to phase out amaisni ammount of hits onda scatter dice!)

Biggest fail (it is rather than a loss)
My GF beating me on her firs game - stupid firewarriors barely woundaded 10 orks in 2 turns?

Greatest victory - seeing my tau firewarriors assult terminators and win.

Greatest loss - playing 30 scarab sqarms (2 things of warriors and a destroyer lord), turbo boost turn 1, assult turn 2 - game over.

Hmmm..

I honestly can't say. My most recent, memorable win was getting a technical massacre with only 1 Shaman (wounded) and 4 Savage Orcs remaining against Dark Elves. Flukey casting of Gorks Warpath (literally the last thing I could do in the game) stomped his last Reaper Boltthrower and killed his Hydra (which had been on full wounds!) resulting in the Handlers fleeing at the end of the game. Is it my best win? Probably not. I've been in tighter spots and jammier get outs, but that one sticks in my mind the most!

Worst loss? Probably when a Level 4 Slaaneshi Mage Lord, on Manticore charge a single rank of Dwarf Thunderers after flying high, lost horribly and was promptly run down

I think I've got two games tied for greatest loss.

First one was one of my first warhammer fantasy games, back in the herohammer days (4th edition). My army was 5 chaos knights, 12 chaos warriors, and a khorne lord. My opponent was playing night goblins. My lord and his warrior retinue charged full blast at the goblins and were about to tear them to shreds before: "What do you mean I have to stop eight inches away from you? Fanatics...what are fanatics?" .....yaaaaa..... so I ended up not killing a single one of his models, though I almost won purely because his fanatics crashed into his own army and they all turned and ran. Rallied on the last turn though, and he won easily.

Second greatest loss was with my marine army against IG and Tau (I had more points, so i fielded 2k they did 1k each). They won first turn, and literally hit with every shot, every scatter, and rolled nothing but 5s and 6s on the pen table. We didn't even make it to my turn, I had maybe 500 points left by the end of shooting :(

Greatest defeat? 500 point game with my Tyranids versus gunline Tau. In three turns, my entire force had been completely obliterated, and I had only managed to kill a couple of Sniper Drones with a Lictor.

As for greatest victory, I'd have to say the best was an 1000 point game with my 'Nids versus Necrons. Two Carnifexes with Barbed Stranglers and my Warriors with Deathspitters annihilate all of my opponent's troop choices, and he phases out on the second turn.

What do you think this is? Some kind of signature?

My greatest Win was back in 4th when I was playing Necrons, I made the mistake of takeing long table edge with a Tau player (Jump shoot jump >.< but when I finally made it up to his side he had a line of guns going across the board protecting the objective (I had to destroy a crashed Tau ship) and my Lord and a few Warriors charged the first on the left side and proceeded to wipe 4 units of Tau out in one CC turn.

I miss being able to consolidate in to CC :(

My worst Loss with my Orks in a 2v2, I was facing guard and Tau with the Guard right across from me, not only did I forget to shoot/Assault with my Kommandos but I lost Gaz to a little guards man... my side got tabled with the Guard at half and the Tau only losing 1-2 units of fire warriors.

The Realms of the Unreal, of the Glandeco-Angelinnian War Storm, Caused by the Child Slave Rebellion

My greatest win was a few months ago, my Tau vs my roommate's Eldar take and hold. I started the game with two sniper teams, a Skyray and my pathfinders on the table in one corner. My opponent got first turn and rushed toward them. On my phase, I opened up on a squad of Wraith guard with my seeker missiles and inflicted one casualty. Next turn Everything on the table except my pathfinder devilfish was destroyed. However, with the exception of my stealth suits and one squad of fire warriors, every thing else came in from reserves. I infiltrated/ deployed every thing on the far side of the board from my opponent and grabbed the two objectives on that side. He spent the rest of the game marching his army the across the table under my guns. The game was decided when his wraith guard ended their run phase exactly four inches away from the last objective I held. Other then the models lost in my bait first turn, I lost only one squad of fire warriors. My opponent had three wraith guard left.
My greatest loss was my Tau against a destroyed heavy necron army. Second turn I deep strike three crisis suits armed with plasma rifles and fusion blasters behind the largest squad of destroyers and kill all but one. Then I watched in horror as every one of them made their "we'll be back" saves and got back up and killed the suits next turn. The only casualties I inflicted were three necron warriors killed with a failsafe detonator. Third turn I was tabled.

My Greatest Win and Loss actually came out of the same game, which was my first game, which may sound weird.

I was playing my nid playing brother with my space wolves, I think it was like a 1000-1500 pointish game, I can't really remember. Anyways, I was extremely lucky in my rolls and ended up taking out all of his gaunts and gargoyles in the first 2 turns which left him with his shooty carnifex and Hive tyrant. I then melta gunned his carnifex's face off the board which only left his hive tyrant. That would entail the win. Yes the game wasn't finished keep reading.

Since we were both noobs to the game and we/(mostly me) didn't really understand rules for saving throws. I don't know if he was oblivious to the rules or if he was taking advantage of his brother who is six years younger than he is. Anyways it ended up with me trying to roll 3 consecutive 6's to hit him and him taking 2 or 3 saving throws which he must roll a 1 on to get a wound. I ended up losing about 750 points in close combat. Needless to say I didn't want to play him for about 6 months.

Toowoomba, Australia

2003 40k Grand tournament.

I had mech Iyanden Eldar vs chaos, very daemon heavy.
Troops only deployment (his were all daemons) so I had 3 wraithlords and 3 units of WG in WSs, and he had nothing.
Turn 1 I moved forward.
Turn 2 nothing of his turned up and the rest of my army turned up via reserves.
Turn 3 his oblitorators came on (only non daemon unit)and I killed them.
Nothing to bring the daemons on and I won.

7 minutes including deployment until results handed to judges.

Worst defeat:
WHFB: My VC vs O&G 7th ed.
He moves forward, and casts the spell that causes 6's to become 1's on my general's unit.
The VC general casts a spell on 2 dice, 2 sixes, MISCAST! Roll double 1, dead. Army crumbles and we stop playing at 3 minutes of game time.

New candidate for best win, played today
WHFB Wood Elves (me) V Orcs and Goblins - 400pts
I had a noble, 10 GG and 6 scouts, he had 20 Orcs, 20 NG, a NG shaman and an Orc boss
I eluded him for the whole game, removing the shaman, NG and about 1/2 the Boyz unit, he never got into CC, so I lost nothing.
Best moment - My Noble seeing off a whole unit of NG with one shot (HAIL OF DOOOOOOOOOM Arrow) also causing the shaman to panic, big slice of VP's for me
MVP - the forest my woodland ambush rule let me set up anywhere in my table half, delayed his Orcs for about 4 turns

My best game ever was the first time I played 40k. It was 2nd Edition, one Tac Squad versus a whole passle of Gretchin. I lost, but the magic of that first game has stayed with me.

Greatest Victory:

Warmachine, my Khador vs Cygnar gun line . My opponent set up all his terrain on the board edges, I put all of mine in the center. He sat in his deployment zone for the next 4 turns as I walked across the battlefield. I eventually got to him on like turn 6 and managed to blow up half is army and take out his caster. I took a grand total of 8 damage the entire game and lost no models. He lost his caster and half his army.

I don't really have a 40K game that I'm all that proud of. Some good games, but nothing that I find "greatest" ever for several reasons.

Worst.

40K, my CSM vs Ork horde. I lost the roll for first turn and proceeded to fail a lot of armor saves. I think I was tabled around turn 4 or 5. I think I rolled well below average for most of the game. It was so bad my opponent felt sorry for me.
