I would say layoff or "redundancy" as you guys say. Its a simple enough reason and easily seen. just don't tell them about that business with Thai go go dancers and wild purple mushrooms and you'll be ok .

-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

Though I can always put it down to Redundancy.
Things I have going in favour for the Office job is a wealth of experience, a sharp mind, a will to succeed (I was VERY good at my previous job, third best team in the area, when I was on my own and all others had teams of three) AND I am available to start immediately. When it comes to salary negotiation, they are offering £17-£20k, and I would be more than happy with the lower value.... Plus I am a genuinely nice guy who finds it incredibly easy to get on with people!
And so humble, too!

Axyl wrote:I would say don't turn your hobby into your job. For then your hobby starts to feel like a job. Personally I would suggest trying for the Office Admin position. It pays more and it seems that you would actually enjoy that position more than a GW position. In addition the extra money gives you more for models and your new girlfriend (trust me, girlfriends will be a large cut of your check each month).
Btw, what sort of job fires you for using internet...I'm at work at this very moment and no one here seems to have an issue.
QFT. I've worked at two different FLGS in the last 4 years; I didn't even WANT to pick up a brush, or debate the merits of a list for quite a long time after either. However, being able to get in a game at pretty much any time was always good. It's just that a LOT of the time I'd end up playing TFG just because nobody else would, outside of a tournament. (Yes he's TFG, but TFGs usually spen a lot of money; If the employees have to play him to keep him at the store, then the employees play him.)
Also bear in mind, if you don't like one of the systems, it's guaranteed you'll spend a LOT of time playing that system. If you work for GW you (understandably) are NOT allowed to dislike ANY of their products.

The idea is that it takes extra effort and time to write properly, and they’d rather save the time. If you can still be understood, what’s the harm? While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.

And so, due to rising costs of maintaining the Golden Throne, the Emperor's finest accountants spoke to the Demigurg. A deal was forged in blood and extensive paperwork for a sub-prime mortgage with a 5/1 ARM on the Imperial Palace. And lo, in the following years the housing market did tumble and the rate skyrocketed leaving the Emperor's coffers bare. A dark time has begun for the Imperium, the tithes can not keep up with the balloon payments and the Imperial Palace and its contents, including the Golden Throne, have fallen into foreclosure. With an impending auction on the horizon mankind holds its breath as it waits to see who will gain possession of the corpse-god and thus, the fate of humanity...... |

As far as not making your hobby your job, I work with computers all day. That doesn't stop me from using them all afternoon and night.
I do get sick of the driving though, so I stop doing that when I get home.
I also never used to want to work with computers...
