I will sort of agree with the "if you're not sure, wait" - but when is anyone 100% sure about anything?
Drawing or printing out a picture and putting it somewhere where you'll see it a lot is a good indicator of whether or not you'll be sick of something in a few months. But honestly, I wouldn't freak out about it too much.
Yes it will always be on your skin. But you will not be forced to stare at it 24/7. Esp. if it's a backpiece - you'll have to bust out a few mirrors just to look at it! I like all my tattoos, but for the most part, my shirt covers them and I rarely sit there and stare at them when they are visible, thinking "OMG IT'S ON MAI SKIN 4EVA! OH NOES!"
In short, I think most people take themselves too seriously. Think about a design for a few months, and if you're not sick of it by then, go nuts.

Well no,I dont have one on the back of my head,however I do have 2 on my neck one on the side and one on the back and a small star inside my left ear,both of my arms are "sleaved" and I have several on my legs.
Now,of course all these tattooes have on occasion presented some problems with employment,however I work in a field (auto body repair) in wich tattoes are seldom,if ever,commented upon.
Many of my friends,who also share the "ink addiction" work in similiar fields,and all do very well finanicialy and due to our longivity with our respective companies continue to move up the economic ladder,being placed in positions as foremen and shop supervisors.
My younger brother,who also has a great many tattooes is currently an R.N.and studying to one day become a doctor.
Now,while I can agree that large,prominent tattooes can certianly make the quest for financial comfort a tad difficult,it won't condem you to a life of flipping burgers.

Just get a rub on tatoo of something you meh about.
After a few weeks when you absolute hate it, you'll thank god that its only a rub on one. And you also experienced what it feels like when you out grow the real tatoo you might have gotten.

The artist being paid to do the tattoo is not licensed by GW. But if they don't make money from it...
