I didn't think it possible to invoke Godwin's Law in a topic about Necrons and Time Travel?
Looks like I was wrong...

Godwin's law is stupid, in any conversation of enough length, any topic will come up. The fact that they focus on Nazi's is arbitrary and random.
Or am I missing the joke?
Anyway, back on topic, Necrons have always appealed to me as an army to pick up because of how easy they are to paint and play. In 4th, you could make a really effective Necron army for not too much dough (unless you went immortal heavy) and you could seriously paint and assemble the army in two weeks. And the crazy part is, it would look pretty nice.
If they give them the power boost they could use, I think I might just go for it. If they make plastic Immortals, I will go for it!
Here is to hoping they fix the tomb spider, that sould have been a really cool model. Now it is just painfully fugly.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it. |

With T5, they'll no longer be MEQs (any more than Sisters with T3 are).

I painted my first Monolith on the weekend, and actually have a painted Necron army. For me that's a big deal, so I don't see 'em as boring. They could use a little more spice though.

The idea behind godwin's law is to demonstrate how poorly people argue. Rather than sticking to the main subject at hand people tend to drift off into tangents and thus as a conversation increases in length the greater the likelihood that the conversation will have drifted away from its original purpose thus rendering the entire argument futile.
Theoretically any subject could be chosen but Nazi's work because they are symptomatic of one of the most famous argument flaws, that of an ad hominem attack. For some reason people like to try and win arguments by comparing their opponents to Nazi's (the religious right like to do this regarding atheists quite frequently).
Therefore when somebody invokes Nazi's not only does it demonstrate the probability that the argument has drifted off topic but it also implies that the person who referenced Nazi's has resorted to flawed argumentative techniques,as such, the first person to break Godwin's Law "loses" the argument.
On Topic:
Although this is obviously a fake it isn't too bad. The "not" c'tan lord upgrades seem a little bit weedy to me (both need to be tougher and have more special rules) and T5 on warriors just makes them into plague marines. Slow and purposeful and feel no pain are both good ideas though. Moving gauss to a 5 or a 6 is pointless but only having a -1 to glance helps reduce the tank hunting issues necrons currently have when they were designed to bring tanks down with basic gauss weapons.
The multi-fire mode for heavy destroyers is a good idea as necrons could use a low ap multi-shot weapon and if they were significantly better at tank hunting than warriors through the addition of lance then more people would use them.
Scorpions are a nice idea although I don't like the statline posted.
Pariahs need FNP and to count towards phase out or they will persist in never being used but the extra attack is nice.
Flayed Ones don't need rending, they need a pts drop and a move to troops. Wraiths could use rending though or again a massive pts reduction.
Immortals seem a little bit lost here. If warriors go to T5 then immortals definitely need a W2, like the odd "tomb guard" entry. What's the idea for these? As it is immortals are warriors with a big gun and with the move to slow and purposeful not a big enough gun.
gauss flamer (horrible name, as is the "gauss frag") presumably means tomb spyders get flamers which is a brilliant idea. Make them 1-3 per choice but deployable as independent and give them a ton of different weapon options and some kind of FNP boost (move it to 3+, re-roll, allow like a res-orb, add a 5+ cover to 1 squad) and they would become decent squad support units that people might use.
Weak pylon is fine but necrons need some kind of chariot-esque tank to help the tomb kings feel.

Conversely, people love to invoke godwin's law when an infraction is made in order to 'win' an argument with the dissmissive ridicule of an arument even if the arguments basis is valid.
Basically using ad hominem to combat ad hominem. A logical fallacy of the basest sort. Making any invocation of godwins law foolish in the extreme in nearly all cases.

The thing that made me raise an eyebrow was the mention of "Saving throws" in the Gauss section on the right. I should have been "armor saves", since there's no such thing as a generic, "Saving throw".
Between that and the "scorpion", "tomb guard" and "Lord" references, this makes me think it's a cleverly edited Tomb Kings page. Not to mention it looks like Tomb Kings art in the background.

AH, ok thanks for the clarification, that does make sense now.
Yeah, I agree though, if this were the new C'Tan stand ins, they are pretty weak. A demon prince would smack them around. The C'Tan should be uber in my opinion, even if they are just a Lord who thinks he is a C'Tan.
Flayed ones with rending would work well I think, that or make them toughness 5, troops and give them a sarge upgrade that can have a power weapon so that the squad has some teeth.
Rending for Wraiths would be great, they are cool now, but just don't do any damage.
Yeah, and what is with a str 6 dread with armor 13? That is a little lame in my opinion, give it a DCCW so that it can bring some pain in HtH.

Is april fools observed in all western countries, or is it one of those distinctly American things, like groundhog day? Or maybe in Australia you guys call it something different? Maybe you have groundhog day, but you call it wombat day? Does Chopper Read have a national holiday named after him yet? This is the stuff that keeps me up at night!

There's nothing American about April Fool's Day (although they totally own Groundhog Day... well and Canada) we call it that here in Oz, although jokes tend to expire at noon. Anyone trying an April Fool's after midday is usually met with derision.
