Thankyou and steal away, isn't that what the internet is for? As most 14 year olds starting a modelling hoby with little experience things are a little rough at first, though the majority of this stuff is newer I am glad I am developing as well. I would be really depressed if I had been doing this for 10 years and learned nothing. I was a little fearful that if I showed all my old stuff off the top people would go MEH and never come back, thats why I kinda vomitted a bunch of stuff up in the first bunch of posts to show my stuff and wear Im at today. While old stuff is no where as good as the new I still like some things about them and want to show them to people, they've been through alot.
covenant84 wrote:Wow! Are you goin for the whole chapter?

If only, but no. No time, money, space, or need... though need is only something the GF would say.

Id love to get you a full pic but that could take a while, I have no where to put them all out right now heheh they require alot of space.

The tank always gets alot of attention, some days I simply use it as a baal preditor and people always freak, something about it makes it a great misdirection piece. I made it in some crazed cumpulsion buy, I saw it and was like I can convert this new speeder onto this Rhino! I think that was the first thought when I found it in the starter set it was released in. Years later in the heresy artwork books I saw a rhino that flew, though all it seemed to be was a MK1 Rhino with out tracks floating, but I use this as a defence now.

I held off painting the back of my 3r company Banner not knowing what to do, eventually I came up with a little phase and added an Aquilla to represent that he's behind all motives of his wariors. I wanted to come up with little symbols on the bottom for old campaigns and it was suggest I add something to symbolize the Blood Angels leading the intervention, like a circle as if it were a council, with all the chapters that participated with The Blood Angels as the biggest. well I added an eleven pointed halo around a blood drop since thought the circle wasn't quite glorius enough hehehe.

This is the final look sorry for the bad pic the varnish made it really hard to get a good shot.

Rumors of my threads death are FALSE, I am not reviving this thread cause I never pronounced it dead. It was only comatose. In Dec. of this year the world started a decent into a depression. I being young and fully employed became excited thinking "Now is the chance to buy a cool car!" I love old muscle cars and dream of owning one, and at the revival of some has paid off well with things like the mustang and challenger. Sigh it was not to be, not do to lack of money but it was just not my time. If anyone has noticed I also love to build terrain, and urban buildings have been my recent interest. Well the gf got to looking online and before I knew it I was the proud owner of this lovely piece of terrain.

It is a 100 year old home (in western canada thats almost as old as you'll find) in the centre of one of the most popular areas of my city. It was a great deal (considering the 1/4 million territory that housing prices are here) It is in great condition but still needs alot of work, I have since then been upgrading power, redoing aging galvanized plumbing and spending every waking hour it seems either furnishing or slowly moving into my new home. As this is the first real place Ive moved into not including moving away during college I have had to go through ALOT of stuff. I haven't even addressed my models really aside from my work station which until recently was this:

I have been slowly redoing some of my old assault marines, I consider myself out of shape and thus wont risk ruining my new ones heheh the raider sits waiting to be loved and reinstated to active duty.
Other than that all I really have been able to add to my ranks is this little berzerker named Dubh.

Aside from the new home this is the only building I have been able to work away at;

Its a city hall like building I started drawing up months ago, Slowly its taking shape. I have been only able to play pick up games of nercomunda and mordhiem lately and have none of my marines aside from those above here with me. I hope that soon I will be able to update things and show you all they're new base of operations and continue trying to finish them all. On a side note I counted roughly what I had up in points and they sit in the 13 000 pt region but I know some is off and Im sure Im missing stuff. Just kinda stunned me thats all Angels anyone up for a real Apoc battle?? If so Im sure we can find an empty basketball court to do so heheh

As a Blood Angels player who has enough models (although not painted!) to represent the whole of one company, I salute you! These are really great models, and I think they work intensely well.

I think the simple, gray-black bases as great and look really good. These are some superb models and you've done well with them.

This is without a doubt the best Space Marine thread I've ever had the pleasure of reading through.

Your Blood Angels are truly stunning!

I was contemplating which Space Marine chapter to do to back up some Grey Knights I'm painting and now I'm definitely going to try
to do some Blood Angels!

Your models are inspirational. From your first models to your current you can clearly see your abilities in painting progress. Very interesting to see with a fantastic end result.

I really should stop looking at well painted armies like yours as thy sidetrack m into thinking... 'a few blood angels wouldnt take long to paint!' and we all know that leads down a path of pain and suffering and neglect fo rmy poor imperial guard.

Keep up the great work!

I have been inspired to draw at work during periods of inactivity.
I hope you like them, some are based on various styles and pieces of work by other artists, some are based on figures I my self have built.

Some with they're matching models as reference:

And one I titled "The Faithful" in honour of the artist's style that I was attempting to replicate

And after almost a year of inactivity I have just about finished this squad, just some small details I noticed are unfinished since I took these pictures. They aren't perfect but I suspect you'll get what you need from them.

And this is what Ive been on the last couple of days.

Built squad's 2 and 3's rhinos. Primed with black and ready for the next step.

Are you an excentric millionaire lol? It's not just the sheer amount of stuff, it is the time it would take to output that much work... holy kak...

Your drawing skills are particularly awesome, it's the small things like the variety of mouth/general facial expressions etc that really make them shine for me.

There is a definite obvious progression to your painting skills as well, and the later stuff looks awesome. The only thing I beg you to do, as Misgula mentioned, Is to apply a few ink and paint washes to the bases to get rid of the one colored drybrush look they have atm, it's not that they are horrible or anything, but at the same time they don't do the minis justice, and because they are such high contrast shades on the base, it is drowning out and dulling the color of the minis a bit.

That, and I would highly suggest painting the rims black instead of the grey brown, again, I think it would really make the minis pop.

Inspirational work ethic man, look forward to seeing the new plastics thrown in the mix!

Hehehe if only, it has taken a very, Very long time to do most of this stuff 14ish years now. I'm glad they don't come as repetative since I know it's head and shoulders most of the time. I was aiming for personal variety instead of character and image variety. Each one was supposed to be its own marine, not just masked cloned combatant. The early stuff is indeed less impressive heheh, I look back at them and they feel like my work, and then I look at the new stuff and it actually feels like I'm looking at someone else work. I go wow, that looks awesome (not that I'm blowing my own horn). I will have to go back and look into the bases, heheh I enjoy the models so much that I can cheep out on them. But I am going to disagree with the black trimmed bases, I find them lacking and feel un-finished. I know some peoples look amazing but I find the Brown grounds them and ties them all to each other.

Thanks guys. Yes I do have a lot, my family might say to many. Im glad you like my work, I feel odd posting the drawings in my logs, I worry no one wants to see them and would rather models, but I love the whole package of the game and sometimes need to express it with more. Plus it allows me to make marines I can't build or don't have the skill and $ to make. As for most inspirational, I'm honoured but suspect there may be others I'd say compete with mine if not beat. heheh

Thanks, I never thought Dante had a flashy enough looking guard. Then they had the one in the dwarf codex/painting guide with 4 man unit and I went "THATS IT!" I was disapointed they were kinda bland and basic. I made mine using the normal tact unit torsoes, the Ass legs, arms and legs from the Dark angels, command, and assault squads. I figured he would not go into battle with out a sanguiary priest, plus why wouldnt he have a chapter champion. I also gave him a techadept for which that 20 minutes you were again aloud in a command squad. That annoys me the most. They're in, they're out, they're in, no they're out. Sigh, stop messing with my command squads. I'm going to consider him as a trusted advisor Dante has choosen to field in his squad. I will need to give the priests grails though now. thats going to be a bit of a pain. Maybe I'm just cast the one from space hulk. Im glad you like my use of cassius. Good luck with your force I'll keep my eye on it.

Since I'm on subject of angels, why not show my new drawing of one

and the other new works

Ever see a half company of Blood Angel scouts? I'm sure there are others out there but here is mine lot. I hope to add 1 or 2 Land-speeder teams eventually to them along with the new serg character. I have acquired a single bike scout but probably won't paint him till I can get a couple more to fill a squad.

I have also decided to dust of an old favourite:

I will be repainting him to match the old Codex cover.

I also finished this guy 98% just needs a base.

and managed to get this guy done and other started too:

and something new.

I really enjoy doing tanks, they just take so long to do heheh, though everything these days take a long time.

All that is left is a couple tiny details and the storm bolter, but I never seem to post any thing 100% complete. Hehe maybe that way every time I show it there is progress on my stuff.I really enjoy doing tanks, they just take so long to do heheh, though everything these days take a long time.

here is a photo of the new tank with its tactical squad.

I finished refitting tact 4. They were transfered over from 2nd company since some how I managed to end up with 11 squads in that company. Since most of them were much older figures they didn't quite match up painting wise with the new ones. Well I didn't want to destroy what I had done on them, just correct or enhance. So I touched up cleaned up, and where bolters or heads were just to far gone I replaced. The are all in original poses and pretty much the same scheme aside from just look "better". I like having this old unit in the new company. They're my vets, the running flamer was made with the first jump pack plastics I ever owned, bought the week they were released. The unit has some odd details, like the squad leader of the combat squad's banner pole with animal pelt. I was never a fan of paper back banners so back then I'd use cloaks and capes like the skave capes or wolf cloaks from warhammer and mordhiem. I forgot to shoot the fur side, its nothing fantastic, looks like lepard spots. The sergent is missing his pack and needs to be glewed back on too. The Lascannon originally was in tact 1 but moved when I found I mistakenly had 5 heavy bolters in one of the Dev squads so he's been shown before.

I need to drill the barels out too on a lot of them.

-Frazetta homage -Creed -Marine Serg. -Marine Captain

I also tried colouring some of my stuff but the scan didn't really pick up on the subtle tones and edges of the colour it just picked up the core and over saturated it. oh well they still look good

and some Blood Pact characters I did for someone else.

I've been working on the 3rd Rhino and my refitted 4th squad. Removed a couple heads and gave new arms and bolters to many that have far to many layers of paint to salvage.
Well here is my most recent project. I built a sanguinary priest from the death company set. I hope to give him a chalice since its that or the reductor kit and I didn't want to have to by one. I do find it wierd you don't have to have one, but I am happy to work with out them since you can field more then one now in a force. Only thing Im kinda unhappy about is the white wings on white shoulder pad, and the bolt pistol holstered in a brown pouch seems to look out of place on the figure and a white pouch is kinda boring. I thought about red leather on it but thing its makes him look to heavy in the middle then. It is all still a wip so its kinda far from completion. I do count it as half way done.
