You'll be required to make the + shaped hole yourself.

Or you could still drill a round hole if you wanted. That would work too.
I do like these for smaller flyers. If I was going ahead with my squadron of 12 Thuderbolts I would buy 12 of these as well.

would be great to magnetize the valk to switch out varients. Gotta have a Vulture with the punisher cannons. so i can look at it and dream of Swiss Nid

I have thought about getting really thin rare earth magnets and putting those in between the wings, I only need to find a way to best magnetize the wing points or weapons.

Will rare earth magnets stick to metal or only other rare earth magnets?
If they will stick t metal, I would magnetize the weapons, because they tend to be bulkier. And then use small pieces of magnetic steel in the wings.

But you can buy 0.5mm thick magnets. I use them all the time for surface mounting on stuff. Much easier than drilling holes and hoping the magnet stays flush in them.

Magnets, of any type, will stick to *ferrous* metals.
They will not stick to non-ferrous metals like aluminum or lead or tin. Minis are made of non-ferrous metal, which is why they don't rust. That is also why you have to super-glue them into metal models and parts.

Nope, different. The Lascannon bitz are single Lascannons.

Excuse my moment of stupidity. Is the Vulture now a hybrid kit with plastic Valkyrie wings and cockpit?
If so how does it differ aesthetically to the old one?

It can be mounted on a flying stand and it has slight changes here and there. The tail booms have added plates of armour at the end.

Is the Forgeworld upgrade the cheapest way to convert a Valkyrie to a Vendetta? Is there a cheaper way maybe? I was looking for the Razorback or Predator sprues, but I'm not sure if GW still sells them.

I like it. I think it's going to be cheaper than converting my own Vendettas. I mean, I don't want to buy individual bitz or a whole predator or anything. Besides, this looks better than anything my abysmal skills can cook up.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |

Depending on the Forex rates and your GW prices, it just might be...
Do you have spare Lascannons from your Heavy Weapons teams?
You should be able to order the Land Raider Terminus conversion sprues. That gives a bunch of Lascannons.
