I'm not sure if this has been posted yet but FW new models and conversion kits up for the Guard.

Vendetta
http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/vendetta.htm

Vulture
http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/vulturerp.htm

Those are the only things that have a "more pictures" feature, but also included are the Vulture Punisher Cannons, aircraft Multilasers, autro cannons, fuel pods, Hunter Killers, Missle Launchers, MLR Pods and aircraft flying bases.

Again don't know if this has been posted yet, delete it if it has then, if not then enjoy.

Hmmm, looks like they've slightly redesigned the hardpoints of those aircraft weapon systems, seeing as they are for the most part old designs out for some time now.

Is the only new thing about the Vulture the nose and the wings?

EDIT: The have removed the old Vulture and even their version of the Valk from the website.

I'm fairly certain that the tail booms, wings, and nose assembly are all from the Valkyrie kit, with the engine being the only real resin bits, alongside the chin turret.

Well, it is cheaper than the all-resin kit I guess. Might as well commit sepuku and get one plus a flying stand.

I think there are additional fins on the back of the tail boom as well.

Me, I quite fancy treating myself to a Vulture with Punisher Cannons. Who can resist that much Dakka?

If that was this website, it would have to be called Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka Dakka (including 3 spare Dakka's, lest we forget the Heavy Bolter!)

We can only hope that the plastic versions for the Punisher tank will look as good.

Punisher Vulture ought to be, well, punishing in Cityfights.

Step into the street. I fething dare you. I double fething dare you. Come you big girls blouse....stop hiding!

And indeed BrookM. Though I get the feeling seeing as how the Punisher Cannons aren't that horribly expensive (well, for Forgeworld) people might procure them for conversion fodder. And because you get two, Bitz sites might wind up with some to sell from people just converting the one? Me, I reckon I'd do it, and put the Ammo Drum to good use on the side of the Turret, kind of built into it, if you see what I mean from my rather poor description of my intention.

I understand it completely. Well, these Punisher cannons might be better than the plastic ones, as I have a feeling those might be stubby things, like the Hurricane Vulcans on the Stormlord.

In a way, I kind of hope not.

GW seem to have more or less cracked keeping things consisten in design. The Stormlord Vulcan is stubby barrelled, because the Warhound Vulcan is stubby barrelled, and so on.

I love this bit from the newsletter...

"Swift and deadly, the Vulture is a variant of the more common Valkyrie fuselage, which trades in the Valkyrie`s transport capacity in exchange for speed, manoeuvrability and the ability to carry a wide range of weapons. The Vulture`s payload can vary between tank-busting lascannon, rapid-firing rocket pods, the devastating short range power of punisher cannon and more."

Looks like FW didn't get the memo that the Vulture, per the IGDex (and I'm SURE that can't POSSIBLY be a mistake on GW's part), still has a cargo capacity...

1. The Vulture has never had cargo capacity.
2. The Vulture isn't in the Guard 'Dex.

Oh dang... That's right. Vendetta. Here was already to get the dig in with GW about how stupid the whole Vendetta/Valkyrie thing was... Hoisted by my own petard! Drag!

New conversion kits and full resin kits dropped.... Can't say i dislike it.
Good to have 3 " V's ". Basic valkyrie + light conversion vendetta + medium conversion vulture.

Guard becomes a most plastic with some resin upgrade kits army then..

Gw shouldn't have missed the chance to bring a vulture datasheet alongside the apoc "air cavalry".

If i hear an over priced item been validated by that excuse one more time , i might have to commit seppuku myself.

The Vulture kit is AUD$5 more expensive than the Australian cost of the Valkyrie. Wow our prices are messed up...

As the crying owner of a crappy all resin Vulture I will gladly provide you with a tantō for the deed.

And it is cheaper. The all-resin Vulture cost me €102,-- while the new hybrid kit only costs €65,-- give or take.

Maybe forgeworld isn't giving you the entire Valkyrie with the vulture and just what you need sprue wise? Or your prices really are messed up.

They don't get all of the sprues, but the main thing is ForEx rates.

We saw this in March / April, in which UK FW conversions were cheaper than US base kits.

Yup. I was a wee lad in 1986 when Aliens convinced me bullets were cooler than lasers. A year later, Predator showed me that a gatling gun could shoot more bullets than anything else. I've loved the concept ever since.

And FW goes one better. The only thing better than a Punisher cannon is two Punisher cannons.

Expensive, but hey.

Pity it doesn't have some sort of 'strafing run' special rule where you pick 1-3 enemy units/models/vehicles along your flight path and divide your 40 shots (!) between them.

It very well might.

I mean really, remember that the IA after the Siege of Vraks is supposedly Orks fighting Elysians.

where are the rules for this variant vulture? do we have confirmation of what the gun stats are for the punisher cannons? will the two guns be a single "punisher", 2 punishers, or one but twinlinked?

I just love the giant turbine input right behind the cockpits - pilots will have to be really really careful getting into the cockpits or they'll be turned into a fine red mist

FW will sell a pile of those individual aircraft weapons - I'm tempted to get some for my stompa - but they ain't cheap :(

The rules for the twin Punisher cannon variant will most likely be published in Imperial Armour 8.
