How can we name that? Warmachine meets Eldar army?
I thought it was the fanbase that called Warmachine steampunk, not the game line (and PP) itself. Isn't their term for the genre 'Full Metal Fantasy' or something?
These guys do appear to be the odd army out, but that may be appropriate... from what I remember from an Iron Kingdoms D&D game, these guys have access to some arcane technology that predates human civilization. It's going to look and act different, as it's highly evolved ubertech from days of yore, not the clunky steam-powered creations being built today.

The infantry look ok. Everything else looks like arse.
To say that I'm not impressed in the slightest would be an understatement.
The myrmidons are far too cartoony-looking, and the warcaster sculpts are simply bad, in that "where did things go wrong?" sense.
I don't think a change of color scheme will help things either. Privateer does good work for the most part, but the Retribution's a joke.

A close escape for my wllet. Thankyou PP after I have my orginal four Warmachine armies I will still be tempted by Circle Orboros, but not by any other new faction. I am happy, I dont want any new purchase foci and the fact that this faction is fugly beyond all belief helps a lot.

Holy balloning pauldrons!
Seeing the models, I have very mixed feelings here.
I'm not quite sure this is the army I want to field.
The models are almost becoming carcaritures.
And the duck-billed robot? WTH?

i like the troops, i like a one or two of the heavies.......i dislike the poses on most of the lights.....i really dislike the studio colors.
if i play them, all the jacks will be sporting the one good head design for heavies and lights.

Yeah, I can see these models as being nice if given a better color scheme.
I'll probably go with a scheme that puts lots of extra detail lines and runes on the armor.

That was the on thing I wasnt expecting to hear. How do you figger they look like every other race? Those warduckies look bizarre, but I dont see them as biting off another faction. Automatically Appended Next Post: I look at the other lines, and nowhere do I see an uparmoured Howard.

I'm really enjoying the feel of the Retribution. Ios should look drastically different from the Iron Kingdoms. Warjacks are all based the same tech, where the myrmidons are based off much different technologies than 'Jacks. Ios was enjoying their peak before the Iron Kingdoms even existed and should look and feel different from them.
While I do like the feel of the faction, I have to agree with others that the studio paint scheme is arse. There are talented painters at PP, and with those wide open spaces they could have done much, much better than the iMyrmidon look.

I was hoping they'd go with the big pants theme. The only thing I like about the models is the heads, and maybe the hands, for the warjacks. The big pants on characters were not implemented well. The warjacks in general look like ass.

Not my cup of tea for sure, but I can see what they were trying to do. This is the xenos faction for those who are tired of, or not interested in, the themes/look of the other factions. Its completely different and has an aesthetic with its own unique appeal. Privateer can branch out and do something radical with Ios since its development was isolated from the human IK factions. I'm sure part of the reason for the aesthetic is to draw in new customers from other games, particularly sci-fi, who enjoy the clean and sleek lines of that style of futuristic theme. That was the same feeling I had when 40k first released the Tau. This is probably a smart move in the grand scheme of things. On a more serious note: Do you think that the iJacks will have a common special attack called "Put it in you"? I think the cod piece is just begging for it.

It looks like it was bring your kids to work day when that lot were done. I mean jesus, your competition is unpopular, you're about the release a new rule set, and you have a whole new range of minis to come out. I know, lets paint them in 20 minutes and slap them up on the website. What the hell were they thinking?

I like the Dwarfs. Their 'jack design is quite different from the humans', and you gotta love anything called a Gunbunny.
These... I just threw up in my mouth a little. This dude I know has been bugging me to paint his Myrmidons when he finally gets them. I will have to punch him in the face now. I don't even want to touch them. Epic fail, PP; worse even than the eXtreme Warpwolf.

Wow. I don't... I don't know what to say. These are awful. Flat, uninteresting paint scheme, sculpts that combine blank model space and ridiculous proportions into some sort of gestalt of terribleness, and to top it off even in all their cruddyness they still resemble other IPs.
