I have a single guardsman that is fully painted and detailed (to the best of my ability >.< who my gaming buddy says is me. Lately he has amazingly survived all battles and is one of the last guardsman in his squad always standing.

"That for all the Emperor's love of his space marines, his ultimate creation - he was in fact nearly killed by one of them, only to be saved by a mere mortal with a 5+ save and a flashlight."

I've had a Space Marine Assault Squad Sgt. survive a couple waves of Guardians. It kind of helped that he was equiped with a plasma pistol and lightning claw.

Pedro Kantor and three honor guard. The whole squad was on the recieving end of an assualt by a Chaos Lord w/ the Mark of Khorne and a demon weapon. The Lord was getting on average 12 attacks a turn. Pedro was wounded and then the next turn two of the three Honor Guard die. Then, my sole survivor finished off the Lord after surving another round of CC.

Then, he single-handedly took on a 5 man squad of Terminators dedicated to Slannesh. And won.

My Khorne lord with demon weapon once survived 4 rounds of combat with a chaplain (that was a lot of 5+ invul saves) only to kill himself with his own demon weapon. Come to think of it, I don't think he's ever been killed by anything but his demon weapon.

Ok, so that's not a lucky model story, but he does tend to kill lots of stuff before he offs himself.

Forever alone

Of course he survived four whole rounds, a Chaos Lord would beat down a Chappy in no time due to higher WS, attacks, and initiative.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

All kinds of places at once

Yellow Squad, celestians. They have yellow bases, and I make sure to put them in harm's way, because they are INVINCIBLE. These are s3 t3 models and they are unbelievable.

In one game, the avatar charged them, along with storm guardians. In two turns, they had lost two wounds, and the avatar and his men were dead.

In another, Gazzie AND Zogwort were both charged by the faithful ladies, and were both destroyed by their unrelenting fury.

In another, A hive tyrant, 2 guards, and a carnifex charged the sisters. When it was all said and done, the sister superior remained the only model standing.

In yet another, a dark eldar command squad leaped out of a raider, swarming the yellow women once more. In one turn of combat, their leader executed, the raiders were cut down, piecemeal, on their own charge.

Still not satisfied, the yellow sisters once again proved their worth against the heretical dark angels, blowing up a land raider and assaulting the terminator command squad inside, complete with chapter master and chaplain. After four full turns of combat, three celestians remained, the one meltagun among them death or glorying a land raider on the last turn as it tried to contest an objective. The resulting explosion killed the lone techmarine inside.

Check out my project, 41.0, which aims to completely rewrite 40k!

I don't really have one single model, but i have a squad of scouts that have only all been killed twice lol and the held on for dear life. The most recent was against a twin lash chaos army where they tied up a Demon prince with lash for 3 full turns before finally succumbing to death. For some 13 pt each models with telion leadin, that's a heck of a feat. Basically made this demon prince useless in battle for 4 turns total counting the turn it took to get to them.

Denial

Not sure if he is lucky model. But out of my green skin horde I painted one like waldo from the lil books ya search for him, my friends take it upon themselves to find and attack that unit till waldo is killed grabbing the model and make it follow the one of their units like an ammo runt.

"Definition: 'Love' is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope. Statement: This definition, I am told, is subject to interpretation. Obviously, love is a matter of odds. Not many meatbags could make such a shot, and fewer would derive love from it. Yet for me, love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticle, and together, achieving a singular purpose, against statistically long odds." ~ HK-47

Getting my broom incase there is shenanigans.

My guys always die like crazy. The games with lucky models are mostly my opponent’s models.

For example in the 'Ard Boyz I shot at a Land Raider from turn #3 to turn #6 with 2 Melta Guns at point blank range and a TL Lascannon and only shot off one weapon and immobilized it. It kept me from getting a massacre, and I ended up only with a minor win.

The only time where I had a lot of luck with one model was at the LVGT. (See below)

I have a lone guardian on the top of the hill about to be run over by 2 Reaver Jetbikes.

Here my guardian is still alive, and they Jetbikes are gone! He takes a blaster shot, and a splinter gun shot, and then gets charged by the 2 bikes. He only takes one wound and he makes his save and the hero of the craftworld clubs a Jet bike down with his shriken catapult and his partner is justifiably afraid of this badass, and runs for it and gets cut down.

Then he takes his brightlance and shoots down a ravager.

After this he stands proud on the hill and it takes 3 Dark Lance shots to kill him. Although he dies, even in death the fact that he took all of those dark lance shots to die helped me win the game.

2 guys.
1 is a simple guard with a grenade luancher. In one match he singlehandedly shot and killed 3 termies, all the while surviving as the rest of his squad was blown to bits around him, leaving him the last man standing...Who then proceeded to plug down the final termie making his way towards him. (1 of the 3).
I named him "Termie Killer" (original, eh?), and plastered a white cross on one shoulder pad. He has now gone on to commit countless other heroic acts. Such as the time where his frag scattered off a weak unit of guardians and killed a warlock and wraithguard! Or the time where for a whole turn of shooting my force did nothing to a nurgle army. 'Cept him. Guess what? It was a nurgle termie...

An up and coming hero is one of my BA assualt troop sergeants, armed with a power sword, bolt pistol and combat shield. His 1st match he survived, took on the avatar for 3 turns 1-on-1! Next match he got himself killed, but was the last to go! The most recent and 3rd he was the only survivor of a dedicated amount of shooting, he then proceeded to blow up the War Walker and ripped apart a squad of rangers. He was the last of my models on the field, and it didn't look to good with him surrounded by banshees, Avengers AND the Avatar, fortunately the game ended on a 1.
I've lost all my matches fo far, but this guy is certainly looking good!

I have a valkyrie that hasn't died yet, and I've played about five games with it. Some armies just have a lot of trouble with AV 12 I guess...

As for heroism, my Srg. Harker counts as and his squad managed to fully annihilated 2 full squads of chaos marines and a defiler in 4 turns. Not that amazing, but I was impressed.

Somewhere.

My wife's Grey Knight Grandmaster. He's hideous. The game I remember most is when he shows up on tun three via Deep Strike into a Tyranid players backfield. He and his Terminator Bodyguard mowed down a depleted unit of Genesteelers, but on the next turn three squads of Without Number Gaunts all came in from reserve. By the end of the turn it's the Grandmaster alone, but he lasted until the end of the game, constantly swarmed by Nids. He killed about 25 of them. He was down to his last wound but he made it. So far he's yet to be killed.

Another show of unbelievable luck was a game also involving Fagburn, in which to avoid the roving attention of enemy Havocs and Obliterators he hid behind my mob of 50+ Grots.

In order to get to Fagburn, my opponent charged an 8-man squad of Berserkers into the Grots, thinking he could cut through them and sweep into old Faggy!

This however did not happen, and by the will of the Dice Gods (and Fagburns luck) the Grots won two rounds of combat and killed the Berserkers. I mean sure, 25 of them bit the dust in the process, but c'mooooon that's impressive :p

My lone guardsman had his entire squad wiped out,
passed morale,
went into cover,
took 3 turns of an entire chaos marines army shooting,
left cover,
headed towards his own table edge and took 1 plasmagun hit,
went to cover and passed his six up,
then got wiped out by bolter fire.

In the old dex I had a serge (not even a vet) who over a period of 3-4 turns he took down a squad of 7 ranger pathfinders singlehandedly. That was one of the few times were I actually PASSED my guards armour saves. Right after killing the last of them he was ripped apart by a sqaud of scorpians. These guys were in turn blown away by a leman russ.

My friends scout sergaent wont die, in a apco match he killed 2 termies with sniper, killed a monolith, and single handed took a turn of shooting from Khorne besekers and survived the assault phase.

Then in the next apco game (it was a campain), he had 1000 points and with another guy who had like 1000 points destroyed a 3,000 point green tide

Hasnt dieded in like two months.

I have a killa kan that refuses to die. Regularly I play with 4 but this one just wont go down. He has taken rail gun shots, melta blasts, plasma hits, tau gun hits, the works. Additionally, he has killed scores of troops in CC, and even a land raider. To counter that, I have a looted dread who is full of fail. He generally dies in the first or second turn, probably because he looks so threatening.

I have a unit of fire dragons that seems to be difficult to kill. I had one game where the 6 dragons hoped out of a serpant and blew up a chaos dread. They were then charged by a Defiler. Expecting them to die fast they managed to tie the close combat by only losing one dragon and causing an imobile result on the defiler with their melta bombs heh. Next turn the dragons went first and due to the immobile result were able to hit on weapon skill. 4 out of 5 hit and ended up blowing up the defiler. WOOT to the dragons!!!

I had a regular tactical squad bolter SM (not even the SGT) that was all that remained of my force at the end of turn 3 of a 1500pt game. He was holed up in a semi-destroyed building. He served until the end of the game against a remaining Ork force of about 1000pts. Lobbas, shootas, kans...nothing could dislodge this guy. He made every save and leadership check (still under 4th ed.). To his credit he took out the Boss with the KFF. I forgot to mark the guy or name him afterwards. It was not my best game, actually it sucked as did my dice rolls, but this stubborn guy held his ground much to the great annoyance of my buddy. He still gets irritated when I bring up the story of that lone marine.

My Khorne Daemon Prince seems pretty resilient, sadly his 'never dying' streak has come to an end now. (Oddly since my wife has ripped him apart while re-modelling and I've used a Bloodthirster as a stand in.)

So thinking on it, the actual model hasn't died, but his stand in Bloodthirster has died both times I've used him, the second battle in the first turn. Maybe the character is angry with me for the stand in.

Stuff the original model has done, made nine 3+ saves when he had one wound left, and then wiped out the Tyranid Warriors who had shot at him.

Killed a Jump pack Chaplain and 5man Squad of Assault marines over two rounds. (he charged, then the follow up round in the Marine phase)

Taken several Krak, battlecannon shots in the same battle where each time his Inv saved him.

In general he's seen as a monster and with what my wife is doing to him, he's going to be one of my fave models of all time.
