I am a fan of this model. It has a lot of detail and looks like the face could convert to Tau easily. And the breasticles are nice too.
The hips are probably closer to 52 than 42.
Delephont wrote:Out of proportion? I was in the US a few weeks ago, walking through Orlando International Drive....I see me some "out of proportion" women, that made that miniature look like Kate Moss.
FWIW, by "out of proportion," I mean within itself. The chest, while... ample... doesn't come close to being in proportion to those hips.

My favorites are still my two old all metal sergeants with heads bigger than the other troops' helmets. God I hate those ugly bastards, but at least they're well painted freaks.
As for the mini, I like it. Certainly isn't going to fit into 40K, but it's cool. Besides, anytime someone makes a woman with curves I cry manly tears of joy :')

A store can only legally collect sales tax (and must do so) if it's located or has a business presence located in your state of residence.

Hey everyone,
Deke from Soda Pop Miniatures here. First off thanks for all the feedback! We knew getting into this that our style wouldn't be everyone's thing but it's great to see so many of you who like her. We were very excited to finally get to show off the model. Lets see if I can answer a couple questions too.
Luna Hound wrote:

Sure does! Keeps it easy for us and you.
NAVARRO wrote:Yes, and they only take paypall and shipping is the common speed one, the store doesnt let me use the fastest shipping.
Seriously? Hrm, I'll have our web guy check that out immediately. Thanks for bringing it up!

As Navarro said we are indeed in the USA. We are working on securing some international sellers to help with distribution to alleviate things like customs fees. As it stands right now we will do everything we legally can on our end to limit extraneous government fees. In the US you will have to pay sales tax if you are a resident of Washington or Idaho.

Candy is a timed Limited Edition rather than a quantity Limited Edition. Essentially she is our mascot/spokesmodel and we plan on doing multiple sculpts of her over the years with alternate poses, costumes, etc. Probably every 9-12 months. So I guess the best way to think of her is as an “annual” of sorts. Though, don't let that remove any urgency you feel to buy her. Purchases lets us keeping making models!
Thanks again everyone. We look forward to showing all of you our future releases! If you have any other questions feel free to post them here or PM me.

What sort of other models are you guys thinking of running in your lines? More high tech anime style stuff (that might fit into Infinity) or a mix of certain styles?

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |

At the moment our plan is to release one model every six weeks. Right now we're just three guys doing this in our spare time for love of the hobby. Eventually, we'd like to pick up a bit of steam and do monthly releases but that really is dependent on cash flow ( shameless plug! ) and the schedules of our artists and sculptors but we do have several things in the pipe already, including several finished concepts and sculpts that are steadily being worked on. I have a hunch that once you see our next release you'll have a good idea of why it took a bit of time to sculpt!
While we have a teaser 'release schedule' that we're planning on sticking to, we won't be GW and be stingy with info either between releases. In the run up to every release we'll steadily release some silhouettes, like what are on the characters page now. We'll also release some concept art, color art, greens and character backgrounds. Lots of little behind the scenes stuff that I, for one, enjoy seeing from other companies and hope you guys enjoy seeing from us. We'll also steadily start filling in the Sodaverse page with more information on the universe our characters inhabit including races, organizations, technology, hobby articles, etc. This content will start soon but if you take a look at just the stuff we have up on the site right now you can probably get a decent idea already of what the next release may be.
As for a game, we are currently pounding away at several drafts of the rules and our goal is to release a quick start/public beta set once we have a enough models out to support game play and we're confident from our internal playtests that we have a fun system. At the moment I shy away from giving a firm time frame on this because the last thing we want to do is release a product that we don't feel meets our standards due to an artificial deadline. For now I guess it's best to just say we're busy working on it and we'll definitely keep you in the loop as we have more concrete information.
Edit: Sorry Wehrkind, I totally missed your question! Our style with future models will definitely continue with the trend that Candy sets of hi-tech anime with an emphasis on fun characters. We hope to be able to bring to the table a little bit of the bright, stylish, and slightly over the top characters in the tradition of things like Burst Angel or Gurren Lagann mixed with a little Soul Caliber and Mass Effect.
Hope that helps and of course if you have any other questions fire away!
Happy Gaming,
Deke Stella
