Well, we as Americans have more rights and freedoms than any other person has in any other country in the World; quality and standards of living are generally better (a few countries share the same standards but most are sub-par to ours)
Oh...YOU. ARE. ADORABLE.
Explain your statement, please. I have a feeling it would be quite amusing to most Britons, Canadians, Australians, New Zealanders and Western Europeans.
I think New Zealanders would have as many rights, but there are so many sheep about, they have to watch their backs, so can't enjoy those rights. After all, while you're enjoying your freedom of speech a sheep revolt of killer sheep could break out. And god help them when zombiepocalypse comes, thinks about the millions of zombie sheep out there, waiting for their chance to strike at the human oppressor...
I for one welcome our new New Zealand sheep overlord brethren and bring a message of mutual friendship and amity from your Longhorn cattle overlord brothers in Texas.

Ah, Aussies and Yanks discussing unchecked immigration. Irony....HO!
But seriously, they don't so much save up for it, as get a 'loan'. Usually from the Smugglers. The 'loan' is then paid back through indentured labour. Or at least, that's the plan. It would literally take a lifetime to pay off, if not more.

Safe is a relative term. It depends on where you are at. Not all of the US of A has a crime rate as high as that of Chicago, IL or Detroit, MI.
Orkeosaurus got it right. Safer doesn't mean more freedom. For the most part I can say whatever the hell I want about my government, the people I work with or interact with, usually without legal repercussion. Certain countries around the world if you bad mouth the guy ruling the country (or gal) you end up jailed or shot.
I don't really think anyone can say their country is best. If you love your country you will of course think it's the best one (or so I'd hope). My comments about US of A being the best were my opinion and were, if I recall, light hearted. I'm not going to say other countries are worst as I have not been to every other country in the world. Feel free to disagree but other than the current administration I have no grievances with my country and I am proud to be here and won't ever leave (even though I hate the current administration with the burning fury of a thousand suns).

What I have always failed to understand is why there are so many asylum seekers in the UK.
I was under the impression that those applying for asylum were fleeing persecution or the threat of loosing thier lives. The last time I checked the countries bordering/surrounding the UK were not considered the sorts of places where you were likely to run into such poblems
Ireland, Iceland, France, Bulgium, Netherlands, Denmark and Normway. All of these countries are part of the developed world, they have stable economies, governments and virtualy no civil unrest compared to the countries where the majority of asylum seekers come from. So why when the idea of asylum is to run for the nearest "safe" country do we have so many asylum seekers. Probably because of the fee healthcare, education and benefits.
I have no problem with helping those in need, and I am sure there are genuine cases out there, but I do have a problem with unchecked imigration and people who are unwilling to integrate and contribute towards the society of the country they are trying to settle in.

There are large numbers of people who are in imminent danger, as they belong to the wrong political faction or the wrong tribe or the wrong socio-economic group.
And arriving in a country without a visa and requesting refugee status is not illegal in any country in the world.

The fact that there are still threads in which people think that illegal immigrants are the root cause of illegal immigration, and not the people hiring them, shows the immigration debate to be less about policy and more about xeno-phobia.
I have no problem shutting the borders, deporting illegals, or any of that. Its our state, and we can decide who to let in, particularly with the 14th amendment making all kids of such immigrants citizens.
My problem is that as long as American businesses hire illegals, illegals will come. It's not impossible to find out where these people are working, and those employers do have assets to fine.

Of course, this raises the question of whether businesses knowingly hire illegals, choose not to check, or unknowingly hire an illegal.
Knowingly hiring, or deliberately choosing not to check should definitely be fined for breaking the law.
But if the illegal presents fraudulent ID that doesn't raise any red flags, why should the employer be penalized?
And regardless, the problem source starts with the illegal person.

If you park your car in a bad neighborhood, but don't lock it, aren't you a little responsible if it get's stolen? Likewise, if companies are inducing people to break the law, isn't that just as bad?
There's a reality to the situation: you can't keep illegals out if there is a reason for them to come here. It's easier to remove the reason than to plug every gap in the border.
As for if the hirings are deliberate, it can't be that hard to set up a system for verifying ID's.

No, but if you are under a particular number of employees, the state wont hassle you, so you can continue to hire these people who are willing to work for less. Because nobody will stop you.

Now tell me why the feth I should have to learn to speak Spanish when the main language of my country is English? If you want to live in my goddamn country learn to speak the goddamn language and speak it when you work at a place of employment where 99% of your fellow employees are American citizens or where 99% of your customers are American citizens. Or am I being unfair to those who steal jobs from Americans (you know because employers have to meet a certain "quota" of minorities to whites; and don't say it doesn't happen as there IS such a quota in place). You know, Equal Opportunity Employer, meaning if Jesus Ortega cannot speak English but the employer needs to hire more minorities to balance the equation he has no choice but to hire Jesus. Answer me why then Falcon. Why should I have to learn to speak Spanish in a country whose main language is English? If I had plans to visit a country one day whose people only knew and spoke Spanish than I'd buy the Rosetta Stone software and learn it but until such time why?
It's not what I believe, both points are valid. You want to dispute equal opportunity than go ahead and try because you will lose. You also can't dispute why we Americans should learn to speak Spanish just to be able to order a 99 cent taco at Taco Bell or a Double quarter pounder value meal at McD's.
Prove to me that none of my points are valid and I'll bow down to your infinite wisdom. Until then your opinions of me are just opinions and what you think about me does not make me lose sleep at night. Trust me on that Falcon (and anyone else who thinks I'm evil).

You're calling an awful lot of attention to yourself, I have half a mind to just sit back and watch everyone else rip into you, but out of respect I'll answer your challenge best I can.
1) You don't. Nobody is making you learn spanish. I don't know where you live, but I live here in Orange County, CA, and the hispanic population here is immense. That being said, I have never once had to order anything in spanish, from anywhere. Have I ever? Yes, I have, because I can. Did I have to? No. I chose to learn spanish because I wanted to, not because I had to.
2) You are right. equal opportunity is garbage. Its a terrible system that puts people who are less qualified ahead of people who are more qualified. I was denied a spot in the LAPD because of it. It needs to go away, but it was instituted to combat racial bias. (ironic.) It wasn't instituted specifically to screw the white man, as you appear to believe.
