The only problem is they are relatively expensive. Good look model, and i don't think they are quite large enough.

$25 buys you two very large plastic lions when you buy the high elf chariot.
Grab the sprue out and resell the rest (it still makes a perfectly good chariot, just using the horses)
get some green stuff and sculpt fur. Fur was the first thing i ever learned how to green stuff, don't be afraid, its quite easy.
I've heard that the old vampire counts dire wolf face goes on to the lions face with almost no fuss, so if you can't sculpt a wolf face, that will save you a lot of headache.

Question is, how tall are the lions? Their body should really be larger then the space marines legs, or about the same size so it doesn't look too weird.

My wife gave the blessing to buy 15 of these. Worth it?
Not to mention the 8 boxes of Chaos Warhounds and bases I ordered last Friday.

Do you have your space marine holding the turret of a whirlwind like a pistol? IF not then why not?
Regardless of the setting being science fiction the models in question are meant to represent wolves that can carry space marines on their backs. A mount that is too small in relation to it's rider will look comical. IF you want silly looking models be my guest...

There is an example of using the white lions from the elf chariot kit. Looks like it could be a good way to go, although labor intensive.

Those wolves on eBay aren't too bad. And the price isn't bad either. My trepidation is that they are coming from Russia. International eBay dealings can be so hit or miss.

Oops, I meant *3* Fast Attack Choices. My bad. And I did think that perhaps he'd have Thunderwolf Characters. But if he's running 15 Thunderwolves, that's at least 750 points right there.

Iron Priests, Wolf Guard Battle Leaders, Wolf Priests, besides regular TWC.
I'll probably magnetize riders to switch out from game to game.
750 worth of TWC, 90 Fenrisian Wolves @ 720 and Canis = A howling good time.
