(I started up the thread again since I just picked up the SW codex and was trying to figure out what to use.)

I think I do have several of those Star Wars scrap golems myself. Would look a bit odd, but would work. I think the best option might be to get the wolf mounts from GW, modelling legs on and adding regular marine torsos that I have extras of.

My concern though is that the wolves might not all be of 60mm base size once they come out with official ones.

That reaper wolf looks nice. Just wish it didn't cost so much.

$21.50 per wolf? My god......

Somebody told me about the wolves that have been sold on ebay by somebody in russia that come with SM legs but the link earlier in the thread to that auction is obviously lone gone and I can't find anything else. Does anybody know how to find those?

If you could explain how this works I'd be forever greatful as I've had things become 'lost' and the like a couple of times, had them 'rule in my favor' and never recive any money for some reason.

Some guys in my group paid an assload for those single posed crappy things. They bend at the leg and won't even stand up now.

I have 10 of the ebay pictured ones on the way. Although it's been a Looooong time shipping. Almost like Redstarone was shipping them....LOL!

If your up for a EZ conversion work grab the wolves from the Hordes, Wolf lord morraig and laris wolves are the ones that I use.

Ah BTW make sure what ever TW wolves models you get make sure there on the 60 MM bases. I got Warned that they need to be a Canis base not a normal cavalry mount base.

Which isn't a 'rule' of anykind it's what someone's felt and decided to bandy around as gospel.
Canis and I quote "Rides the largest of his kin into battle" that is the closest one ever is to being told just what size base TWC should be on other than the fact that they are called cavalry. Fangir is the Largest of the Thunderwolfs and lives on a 60mm base.

Fangir is not the largest of ALL the thunderwolves, just the largest of Canis' kin. So many people are have been getting this wrong.

I seen ones done using Hordes Wolves like Laris. Came out really good.

Avariel here made Thunder cats using the Lion Chariot Lions. I think I might copy that idea looks cool and is a GW model.

Yeah I thought about using the exact words of the codex...
Canis kin is the wolves of Fenris right? And kin means related so, if Canis rides the largest of all his kin, and that happens to be Fengir?....

Love the models I ordered two sets, after the fact I read over this guy's feedback, his % is 77!

Not sure how Ebay lets a seller stay on there with 15 negative feedbacks in one month. I have opened a dispute and will get my money back....
