The PS3 is a definitively better deal. Blue-ray and great gaming console? With that said, there are really only 3 or 4 really great titles (IMO) for the PS3. Every game that I've really wasted my life on has come out for the 360.

As people have pointed out, Xbox Live is $50 a year or 7.99 a month. The lack of wireless adapter inside the Xbox is so easy to get around. Only a tool would buy the $100 Microsoft adapter. All I did was run an ethernet from my console to my laptop and *Boom* wireless adapter.

It really comes down to the game, since that's what you will be playing *dur dur*. The PS3 certainly has more longevity for uses though.

I don't know, I find that some games that come out for both or all systems are a lot of times better than exclusives. Personnally I think call of duty is better than halo and resistance. Although I personally can' wait for MAG to come out.

But videogames are by choice and preference. I also pefer multi-console games as well becasuse the control schemes are the same so its not hard for me to play cod on my ps3 and then go to a friend's house to play it on his.

you know what you could do?! upgrade your PC!!!! saves hastle of havting to deside, and the games are cheeper anyway!

if you upgrade it enough you can emulate both games consoles,

No, my computers are about 8 yrs old (happy birthday) and my mouse broke this morning (actually switched it and still doesn't work tab tab tab tab tab). The GC is fairly out dated and my sisters bunny chewed the wires.(but i am a bit lazy)

sounds like a console might be the best thing(despite you could(probubly not though) pick up a cheep upgradable computer to play games on and upgrade when cash suites! (im realy just extracting the yello waist product now, but thats what i do!)

I'd go with the xbox 360. I find it easer to use and all the ps3 games are available for the 360 anyways

Apart from Resistance and Heavenly Sword. And God of War 3.

Me, I'm still looking to pick me up a PS3. Lovely games console, more reliable than a 360, and comes complete with a Blu-Ray drive.

Add in it's free online service (which I believe now does BBC iPlayer?) and you're onto a winner.

I love my 360, i play with my friends online everyday, but today my 360 stopped working, i have now had 8 broken 360s.

I also have a ps3, but have not used it once, all of the games are rubbish and could be bought for the 360 wich has better online.

My solution to having so many systems stop working, BUY MORE FIREARMS. Video games are fun, but SHOOTING broken videogame systems is even better.

If you are underaged to buy weapons, buy a 360 elite, it is fun and less lkely to break. (Although 2 of my elites have stopped working)

Or nicotine. Smoking around electronics isn't very good for them. A friend of mine is on his 3rd PS3. The blue ray laser went out this time.

I wish i could say that it was my fault, then i could fix the problem.

But i got my 360 when it first came out and they all had problems. i had about 5 defective ones over the course of two weeks.

I do not smoke either, though my xbox does. It makes a grinding sound, eats my disks, and lets off some smoke. When i do get my disks back, the edges are serrated like a bread knife. That is why i had to buy Oblivion four times.

Currently deciding whether to spunk my paycheck on a PS3, or a clothes shopping trip to That Camden up That London in a couple of weeks.

Well just to add a little tid bit to this decision. I read in a gaming magazine about a month or so ago showing the sales and failure rates of the 3 systems.
1. was the Wii in failures. it has an 8% massive failure rate.
2. was the PS3 which was around 12% massive failure rate
3. was the 360 and its numbers were HIGH. I cant find the magazine at the moment but it was close to 60% if I remember right in massive failures.
And by massive failures, I mean they no longer are functioning and need to be sent out for repairs. Thats not very cool in my book.

There is no doubt that MS screwed up for their initial archeture design as it was truly faulty and they should be held accountable to it. On the flipside they did make changes to it and the newer systems are far and away more stable and less problematic. That makes it problematic to buy a used system unless you know what the batch numbers for the newer systems are. I can't recall them at the moment.

I've never had any problems with my 360 or PS3 but my Wii did brick on me once. :(

I probably wont get a wii considering ill most likely break something.

RDizzle I've come close to breaking things many a time believe me. I going to be picking up a ps3 soon anyways, wouldn't touch a 360 in my life my friends had to send his for repairs 6 times.

Ignore people telling you how 360s fail too much. The '08 Pro models are very stable and failure-free.

More stable =/= fail proof, happens with all consoles. It is yet to be seen how much better the new models are when it comes to failing

i grew up using playstations so its what m used to, plus i never understood whats so good about the 360.
it seems too 'freindly' if you ask me. plus it brakes alot and has no truly excelent exclusives.

The newer models have a much smaller failure rate, and as for exclusives, how can you know if you haven't played them all? Halo, Gears of War, etc...

And what do you mean 'friendly'? Would you want an unfriendly console?
