Dude, your wife just burned you and you posted it on the internet.... bummer.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

If that's how you interpret that, bookmark this thread and read it again in about...5-10 years, post-puberty.

Don't know how you could interpret it any other way seeing as how you're a 40k player and all; not a huge jump in logic to extrapolate that but hey I didn't major in semantics or anything....

No insult intended just playing along in the lighthearted vein that I interpreted this thread to be in.

(A National 'Your Momma Fight' contest would be AWESOME! )

One would think this would come in handy when dealing with the fairer sex. Except that the complex game and universe they're often in is, shall we say, slightly different.

Regarding this topic, I always hear people say--in all seriousness--some variation of "my girl prefers I do this rather than chill at clubs where I might be getting drunk and cheating on her." Seems pretty lame to me.

Eek. There are so many things wrong with this that I won't even point them out.

Back on topic... The things in this thread don't have the same... zing... as the ones for various sports.

I can think of a lot more "reasons not to date a 40K player"
- We know a lot about BS
- Only some of us (troops) can score.
- Power Fists.
- Those of us with 'heavy weapons' can't move and use them at the same time.
- Assaults are common
- We tend to collect green fungus
- Our fingertips are rough because of the superglue stuck to them.

As pretaining to the "assaults are common" this is often followed by a furious charge.

(More NOT reasons)

-Combats are ussually one-sided and over fairly quickly.
-WYSIWYG. Yes. That's not always a good thing.
-Our blast markers often scatter terribly...
-Those rail guns ARE compensating for something...

Come on, I'm one of the females and I find that amusing. No bashing, burning, flog... err, actually, that bit can be fun... and then if you execute them you can't play with them anymore.

Besides, Khorne's favour for those supplying their blood on a regular basis may be why he blesses them with his anger and aggression at those times...

My family thinks that me spending Friday night in my FLGS sculpting, painting or playing is something artistic and an interesting hobby, and much better than going out to nightclubs and getting smashed. And, ironically, it's cheaper too.

I'm confused... I thought that everyone was talking about 40k? Did you interpret something in a heretical way?

Also, give yourself a bit more credit, 3.5" is average, Dash. (1d6 --> [1+2+3+4+5+6] / 6 = 3.5).

I should note that my wife *also* plays 40k. And that we make a terribly fearsome 2v2 duo. I honestly think Orks+Tau for a 2v2 game is the most potent combination possible.

Shouts for 'more dakka' can be heard echoing from all areas of the house, or failing that, someone's launching a 'WAAAGH!' on the other
