Was the "head-slit" always there or did it come with the etherals?
If the latter is the case, then it is clearly genetic-engineered mind control.
Could hint at the past of T'au beeing different. Maybe their official history is reworked to fit their masters plans.
Look at the BRB and its hints at a race that mind-controls some of T'au s "allies.
Possible they influence the T'au too.
Change the "history of the MonT'au" from civil war to a lost war against an invader and it still makes sense.
T'au fought but lost, were changed and brainwashed and now follow their controller ( etherals ) blindly.
O'shovah may just found some old memories to make him leave the false "greater good".........

1. if a land raider is sentient (Machine spirit) how can it reproduce, or how is the soul passed on.
2. when you kill an ork, does his blood become spores?
3. if not, how do they reproduce?
4. it says in the BGB miscs that orks pillage loot and rape... but how can they rape?

Yeah but if the slit on tau heads was their 'doodle' I would need two explanations:
1. They both have 'sockets' so to speak, wouldn't they need at least one 'plug'
2. If it is thier most private of private parts, why do they still wear trousers if nothing is down there?
Oh and orks are perfectly capable of rape, unfortunately for the victims a choppa truly is a multi-purpose tool...

This Eldar nonsense is about to make me rage.
Eldar have males and females. There are so few because their reproduction process is slow. The male "contributes genetic material" multiple times... my understanding is that Eldar need to copulate several times before the female is 100% pregnant.
...it explains the Slaanesh thing. You'd go sex-crazy too if everyone was doing it several times more often.
Onto Orks.... in the Space Wolf books, an Ork unbuttons its trousers and relieves itself on Ragnar. Isn't this further evidence that it's not just mushrooms?
