True... but it can't be too hard to convert. You cut the Elysians at the waist and use a any torso combined with gunner arms. Scale issues are mitigated by the fact that both the gunner and drivers legs are pretty much not visible while in the vehicle so the waist down is really just to help the rest fit into it.

Although y'know...it does make me wonder.

Will we see a Tallarn version at some point?

Sweet. But if I want to field it in my planned completly airborne Guard army I need some sort of flyer who can drop that thing off. Preferebly Mass Effect style.

Just got a refund for $285 on Paypal for something I ordered last summer, never received - and totally forgot about.
Was it a sign from the Emperor - for me to order a few of these (for my IG forces fighting my Tyranids)?
Problem is, $285 is just the wrong amount. Too much to just order IG support vehicles - and too little to buy both Tauros Venators and a Warhound (on top of my wish list)...

Looks good. It looks big enough to have two in the crew compartment, not sure why it hasn't.

I wonder if they'll do a shorter four wheel version.

Well the preview does state that this is the first of a slew of new Imperial toys. Plus the designer has shown interest in making more variants. I'd love to see a four-wheel recon/ATV and six/eight-wheel transport variants.

As far as I can recall:
We'll see the six-wheel transport variant 'soonish'. I don't think we'll see a four-wheel direct copy of this particular thing, but we might see a four-wheeled vehicle. Wouldn't put it past them.

When they were previewing that thing I had a chat with Will Hayes, he expressed a desire to do a cut down 4 wheel version with a single weapon and a gunner half hanging off the back, but was not yet sanctioned.

Sculpters wishlist too!

My comments are my own, and mine own alone. If you have any complaints, please report to Mr Spanky who will take them down for you.....

I'm sure the wheels are made from rubberised skull fragments, and the seats are padded with the dreams of orphans.

From what I can gather this is largely due to poor mold maintainance and storage. The first models are cast with the mold in near perfect condition, as time passes they wear out but don't get replaced. In between production the molds are tossed around and top and bottom halves of molds aren't always paired back up with their original mate. So the mold will still match up just not well. Meanwhile repeated casting and poor storing result in warping issues and damaged details. Much of the warping, I would guess comes from storing it without any rigid support inside the mold.

New for the Elysians is the Tauros Venator, a six-wheeled rapid strike and scout vehicle. Light, fast and heavily armed, these all terrain attack vehicles are used for rapid reconnaissance and savage lightning raids in support of the drop troop landings. Designed by Will Hayes, with Elysian crewmen by Simon Egan, this full resin model comes with the choice to mount either a twin-linked multi-laser or twin-linked lascannon as well as optional hunter-killer missiles. This is a great model and something genuinely new for the Imperial Guard and Elysian range, as you can see here.

The Tauros Venator is available now to pre-order for dispatch the week commencing the 25th of January.

Rules for the Tauros, as well as other new Imperial Guard vehicles for the Elysians (including a new Valkyrie variant) can be found in our forthcoming book Imperial Armour Volume 8, and we’ll have some experimental rules for you to download soon.

If you think your important, in the great scheme of things. Do the water test.

Put your hands in a bucket of warm water,

I think we should roll some dice, to see if we should roll some dice, To decide if all this dice rolling is good for the game.

HAH! I can say with a good deal of surety that this was (at least in part) designed using CAD!!!

Might pick up one just for giggles, like the way it looks, depending on the rules this could bump my planned elysian army up a few notches in the world.
