If you add a small quantity of washing up liquid it'll reduce the surface tension and run into the cracks better

Here is the GW Orc Cheerleader: http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m2120368_99060999185_BBOrcCheerleader_873x627.jpg
It's no less horrifying than the other and more crudely modeled.
On the other hand, here is an entire fantasy football orc line, which are done fairly well: http://www.cliftonroadgames.co.uk/products/miniatures/shadowforge/gridiron-orcs.htm

That’s British for “liquid hand soap”.
If you’re making your own wash by watering down paint, a little tiny bit of liquid soap in the mix helps it flow better. There are also dedicated products designed for this purpose (flow accelerator, IIRC?), but you’re not going to have those lying around the house unless you’re already very familiar with more advanced painting techniques.

If you are using "liquid hand soap", you really don't need a lot. Some things I have read have suggested less than 1 part in 10 in water. Then dilute the paint with said water/soap mix.

Washing up liquid is detergent.
not to be confused with the hand soap you buy in pump dispensers.
Only a tiny amount is needed, it breaks the surface tension of the water, and therefore helps the flow

This has re-inspired me to get back to painting my Mardi Gras-themed Orks. The Trukk squads are all different "krewes," and I've been planning on making one a totally fabulous unit of "Boa Boyz" with plenty of feathers, glitter, and enough pink to make Slaanesh jealous.

Bear in mind that I'm a very casual player, and any advice I give will reflect that tendency.
