I think you're forgetting the Razorgor.

That HAS to be #2 on the "All Time Worst" list, at least for the 'modern' GW era...

*Ahem*

And you thought bare minotaur ass was scary...

But that one's *supposed* to look bad! I mean how else should an Ogre cheerleader look? The Minotaurs, Nagash, and (presumably) the Razorgor are supposed to actually look scary. Not parody scary, but scary...

Besides, I can assure you she looks a LOT better after a couple of beers!

I'm sure to get tons of flak, but I think the black minotaurs look much better than GW's strange flesh scheme for the new Beastmen.

I mean, sure, they are beastMEN, but I want BEASTmen, ya know, more BEAST than MEN, and the pale skin tone isn't doing it for me.

EXACTLY!

That is the sad point of these models - someone (allegedly) looked at these and said "YES! That's it! Awesome! They'll sell by the bucket loads! I'll soon be buying a house in Kirby's Neighborhood!"

Took me ages to find this thread this morning after it was moved from Discussions. Thought it might be in painting and modelling, but have just stumbled across it here

Anyway, glad people find that link suitably amusing. Some great comments made

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

That's what SHE said!

So anyway, I actually quite like the models. There are way, WAY worse models in the GW line-up (Rat Ogre kit anyone? Freaking travesty). I finished up a set of these for a contest today and didnt have time to photograph them, Ill try to post them later - basically I went for a "beast hide" color and blended the various muscles via airbrush. I think it looks really good. These models arent that bad but they demand a very good paintjob and colorscheme to bring out their full potential.

The Razorgor is hopeless, but I was thinking if you gouged out that big eye and left a gaping red wound....that might work.

UPDATE: Here's my Minotaur Unit (won the GW contest)

Nice work! Yeah, the GW color scheme is terrible. The models look decent with a better one.
