Really? I was yelling at my TV and swearing at the top of my lungs because the damn thing would get stuck in holes or slide down hills that it should have been able to easily climb.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

That's why it had jumpjets.

I was on PC, so my handling on the thing was WSAD, and let me tell you, if you so much as tapped a key, the thing pretty much did a full 90 degree turn on the spot and flung you way the out of line with your target.

It resulted in me skipping every side-mission on my second playthrough, and ragequitting a couple times on some of the story levels.

And walls were the big thing for me. I'd be doing some mad drive-bys with the MG blazing, and suddenly *BLAM* *Ka-chunk* - I hit a wall and the Geth are probably roaring with laughter in Binary

For what it's worth, I think you should play it, Shaman. It's only around 350 MB to download and it's free. A small price to pay, no?

I beat it early so that I could focus all my anticipation on the Kasumi DLC

By the way, did anyone else laugh when they read "Kasumi Goto"?

The first thing that went through my head was "I wonder if this DLC comes with lots of MULTILAZ0000000RZ!!!!!!!!1!!!1!!!!!"

Until I read that it's a common Japanese surname, I thought that it might be some kind of sick joke.

I honestly thought that some huge 40K fan was in charge of naming nouns and creating vehicles in this game.

I mean... Dakka System? Blood Pack sounds an awful lot like "Blood Pact", A hovering, hi-tech tank called a "Hammerhead"? You can't tell me the Gunships don't look like freaking Valks, and now a character with Ol' Tanksurfer's last name?

I wonder how long it'll be till GW sends Bioware a C&D

It's not ripping off 40k or anything, they're more like clever references.

I don't think the Mantis Gunships look like Valks. Their shape is quite different. Valks look more like planes.

Yea, but this is the same GW that shuts down fansites for spreading their love of the hobby. I'd totally believe it if someone told me GW sent Bioware a Cease & Desist.

There's nothing particularly wrong with the Mako it was the maps. Instead of dropping us in mountain ranges with 80 degree slopes why not dunes or tundra or something? The Mako itself was fine, the maps blew.

Now the Hammerhead sucks all on its own. It's nicely responsive until you jump then good luck. It's fragile and your reliance on a seeker missile weapon with no direct fire back up can be annoying. Colossus almost dead and... the missile that would have killed it decides to waste the trooper that's not even firing at me. Which wouldn't be so bad if not for the fact that you couldn't save at all in firewalker missions. On the whole it's five levels of platform jumping with no real tie into the main story at all who's most interesting parts were when you got out of the titular hover tank.

The moon mission for the Mako was excellent really, I always enjoy driving around that one, looking up (down?) at earth.

And that was a mission without the ridiculous terrain. Amazing how that works. I'd gladly trade the Hammerhead to get the Mako back.

Did anyone else notice that Earth on that moon mission was actually backwards? North America and Europe switched places

The Kasumi DLC is out now. Not sure if I should download it just yet, as I have a 12GB download cap and I don't want to go over that.

Sounds like someone needs to emigrate!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Anyway, I've downloaded it and will play it along with the Fire Chugger expansion when I plan on replaying the game from the start again. I've already killed the giant baby so to me the game feels done now.

I'd buy it just to see Garrus look somewhat normal again But I don't really like the glasses on the other outfits. Doesn't really suit them. Well, maybe our green assassin, but not Jack.

And yeah, what you guys said about the Firewalker: it's become somewhat like Mario, with you being able to jump on top of enemies and kill them.
I'm looking forward to Kasumi, though as an xbox user I feel that I should be rewarded with a nice new achievement.

What achievement, "I spent seven bucks extra on this game."?

Your achievement for buying it is the DLC itself

Spend $7, get 5hrs of extra content and a new Character. Seems a little more rewarding than the "Bleep bloop" bit on the top of your screen.

If by "not Cerberus" you mean "free content from the Cerberus Network" then the answer is no. It's regular DLC.

I'll still be picking it up. DLC that's 1/4 of the time length of the original $60 game for only $7? Sounds like a pretty decent deal to me.That and Bioware being Canadian, I've gotta help a national company, even if it just makes me seem like another gullible consumer.
