Yea... Worded badly, but that's what I was getting at.

I should've included the part where Legion (If you bring him on the Floatilla) explains to the quarians that the Geth only fight them because if the Quarians see a chance for a victory, they attack 100% of the time. According to Legion, the Geth would allow the Quarians to return if they ceased hostilities.

Oh yeah, I've seen all that. I always put off Tali's loyalty mission until I get Legion because the dialogue is never worth missing.

I donno. The dialogue wasn't as comical as I expected it to be, but I do wonder if Legion revealing that the Quarians are solely responsible for deaths on both sides will play some integral role in ME3, should you have brought him aboard the floatilla...

My money's on Admiral Xen (the one in favour of brainwashing the Geth again) being a sub-villain in ME3. That would be groovy.

Isn't he the one that sends you the failtastic Email if you don't tell the court about Tali's father's research? You know, the one that's all "Mwuhahahaha! I've just randomly decided to be a super-evil James Bond villain with my army of Geth and nobody can stop me! Mwuhahaha!"

That's the one.

Really the heretics are done regardless of what you do on Legion's mission. You either nuke them or convert them back to the main geth race so they won't be helping the Reapers.

I hope the admiral is in the next one. I think that would actually be a good way for Shepherd to get the Quarians and the Geth on board for Reaper stomping. The mad admiral decides to try and take over the geth and only gets part of them. She then decides to bum rush the Quarian homeworld with the geth she's got hoping to force the hand of the rest of the admirals to go to war.

Shepherd steps in offering to stop the admiral and her rogue geth for the Quarians and the Geth so that they don't start full on open war. The geth are weakened by the loss of so many to the admiral and calculate that the creators will attack them since they're weak. Shepherd stepping in prevents the Quarians from having to go to war and shows the geth that they won't automatically attack. Before the big showdown with the reapers the Quarians tell you how they're moving their civilians back to their homeworld with the help of the geth so that both groups can go out to kick ass.

Or if you're a renegade help the admiral wipe out the rest of the geth or convert them to a loyal quarian army for use against the Reapers. Have her argument be that even if you prevent the war that the geth are still synthetics and more likely to help the reapers against the organics than side with organics against fellow synthetics.

I have to say, I'm really dissapointed by the Firewalker missions so far. They're boring, I can't save, there's almost no plot at all. If Bioware was was using this as a field test to see if there's interest for more, they wont get my vote.

They're like a test drive I think. More about "Do you like how the tank operates?" rather than "Do you want more missions like this?"

Neither. There's no skill involved. I can shoot the big guys from afar and then rush in and finish the rest.

As was the case with the Mako.

At least this one doesn't get stuck on/in everything

Played Kasumi's mission. It has to be one of the most interesting missions in the entire game. Sure, it was a lot of shooting in the end, but the build-up was so much more satisfying then in most of the other Loyalty missions.

+1

You forgot to add how nice the pricetag was.

I had enough points in one buy to get Kasumi -and- the costume pack

I'm overall dissapointed by the costume pack. Why I actually don't have that big of a problem with paying 2 bucks for stuff like that, the glasses on Thane and Jack just look plain silly when they're on board the Normandy and you're trying to have conversation with them.

Yea I only got it for Garrus' suit. The "Hole in the face" part really bugged me.

For some reason I think Thane looks like he should be in The Matrix with those glasses on. I have no fething idea why.

It just looks weird in a conversation. Even Alien characters like Thane are so full of, well, character, the glasses just ruins it.

Yeah, I wish they'd disappear in conversation, but I'm fine with Jack's shades. They make her look more sci-fi-ish, like a real biotic test subject.

Broken record but that's a problem with the maps they put you on, not the Mako itself. Whoever made the maps for the planets should have been beaten, severely, for that crap. When you had gentle terrain to work with the Mako was fine. Instead they made most of the maps full of 80 degree slopes.

Kasumi's mission was great and I hope the continue forward giving us more like that. A nice bit of intrigue, a little investigation, then the gun fight. Kasumi was worth paying for, Firewalker was a rip off.

For a little fun pick up Kasumi before you go into the Citadel then put her in your party for your first trip through security.

Late to the party as always, but I've finally had a chance to play both new DLC packs.

The Kasumi bit is indeed a great addition and takes the game into a great direction for a bit, pity that it is too short.

As for the flying tank, I'm still a proud member of the Mako Mountain Climbing Team.

A new direction? Interesting. I dunno if I'd say new direction but it certainly was more interesting and engaging that most of the puzzles in the game. Personally I'd have loved it longer and a bit less cut and dry.

I'm just glad we're halfway through 2010. If ME3, when it comes out next year, doesn't involve a trip to Earth (Because I totally want to see what BW thinks our world will look like by then) then I think I'm going to have a small nerd-rage

I live to serve:
EA’s revealed a third Mass Effect 2 premium DLC pack, set for launch next month.

Known as ‘Overlord’, the pack will have players trying to fight against an enemy AI through a laboratory.

According to executive producer Casey Hudson, the DLC has “five levels set across one story on one planet”.

Unlike the last piece of PDLC, Kasumi’s Stolen Memory, Overlord won’t add in new party members to your crew. Hudson told Gamerzines that no new additions will be included in future DLC releases.

An exact date or price point wasn’t confirmed at EA’s London showcase yesterday, but Joe’s there for us this morning. We’ll get him to poke for more information on that front.
