I hear ya on that one. Too much gun, not enough contact point. Mine I finally got glued together after like 20 minutes of gluing and regluing (And stripping off superglue to try again).

I think the worst model I've had to assemble, which isn't saying much, is Njal Stormcaller. Just because everything is so touchy on him, and doesn't really glue right. The arms are always popping off, and the raven was a pain in the ass to get to glue to the little perch on his shoulder (I swear, the bottom of the slot in the raven does not touch the perch at all - you have to kind of glue it on to use the sides as contact points, or use greenstuff).

Im not sure how it happened, all I know is I managed to get it stuck to my head whilst assembling both the predators and my Havocs. getting it off was not the most fun thing I've ever had to do

The heavy tracks spiked into my fingers. The halves of the cannon didn't fit 100% and so needed bending slightly. The pointing forward parts under the cannon didn't fit so needed filling and the back of the cannon didn't fit so needed filling too.

With the recent recall of sales of Killa Kans in the EU and me putting together of a frankly mad metal model was wondering if anyone else had tales of pain because of a model they had bought.

Nothing that bad really. Had some problems with the old Isengard Troll, Zoanthrope could have been easier, but GS was at hand, so, nothing bad I guess. Wait a second, what is that I remember? Oh no.....LICTOR!!!!!!!! So bloody spikey, and even when being the most caring, he breaks. I ended up looking at him once after fully assembling him for about the fifth time, then grabbing him and breaking him up again. He could go decorate a Wraithlord base now, for all I care.

i hated putting my nosie marines together. The arms semmed to be too long , so I had to convert them a fair bit. Multi part metal and palstic I usually dont like .One or the other is best for me.

Looks competant on the battle field especially at range 60" and with the tremour rule. Great if your play alot of hord armies like nids and orks, especially with the tremour special rule, and the techmarine gives fight in CC, good if you are worried about your artilery getting assaulted. Also good at taking on IG players that love to hide in terrain. I think it is given a really bad rap by SM players, probably because they only play MEQ.

At the same time would i want to stick another together. No no I wouldn't.

I think the reason that unit gets a bad rap IS because of the model. It is a well known nightmare to put together so people avoid it or are actively discouraged for using it. Which means it is hardly ever seen and people think 'oh, nobody ever takes that, it must be a bad unit to use'.

The metal Chaos Dreadnaught did a bit of damage to me. Since the model is heavy, I had to use alot of glue and putty and hold the model together with my fingers until it dried for ages. My left thumb is now permantly little stiff and goes click every now and again as a result

Pretty much all of my DE have been painful to glue together. The archon's agonizer claw (that thing is so pointy), the wyches (spiky shoulder things) and the warriors (argh the bayonets) have all been pointy enough to cause slight agony.

But I don't mind being first blood.

Land Speeder. Nothing in the kit would fit right, leaving giant gaps in the sides. I got frustrated and slopped way too much super glue on part of and pinched it together with my fingers. After 10 minutes of holding it together I realized my thumb and finger were glued to the plastic resulting in me cutting them off with my modeling knife, and to top it all off it split apart at the gap on the model a minute later!

humm worst model ever porbably Gazkul those bloody horns just will not stay glued, plenty of injuries including a razor saw cut on my hand that went pretty deep.

I am an architectural modelmaker and my worst work injury was a piece of wood about the same size as a chopstick being shot into my hand, it entered at the base of my middle finger traversed my palm and was poking out but did not break the skin on the back of my hand between my thunb and forfinger, two night stay at london hospital to get that one sorted

Tyranids. Period.

Now don't get me wrong, I love the models, each and every one. However, each have their own little darling behaviors... I swear they snicker at me when I'm not looking... *peers at his trygon grinning at him*

Let's list em.

Trygon: Painfully sharp talons. Never drew blood, but they felt sharper than the blade I was using. At one point I had my finger stuck between the sprue and model like some booby trap to catch animals with.

Zoanthropes: These are deceptively simple to put together... until you look at the arms and vents for the back. Much greenstuff, cursing, and glue goes into every one. Oh, and pinning the vents? Too small for pins. GS by far the most effective method, and I say effective loosely.

Hive Tyrant: Whoever decided on those little claws on his feet will feel my wrath one day. Other than that, his chest spikes seem to always find a way to catch under my nails.

Hive Guard: The gun weighs as much as the body and is nearly as long, and connects well towards the front of the torso. Oh, and the arms don't necessarily meet up properly. So yea. And the first box I opened had an extra pair of right legs in it... weird.

Gaunts: Just cleaning these guys has left me with numerous cuts from my own blade. And mold lines that mock me once I think I'm done.
