Love it! If I can ask, how do you get the GS so flat and smooth on the tail and ears while still maintaining the desired shape?

with the tail, I flattened a ball of greenstuff and wet my finger and gave it a rub to get rid of the finger prints. I work on it on a plastc lid (cd will do) so it does't stick and the other side will be smooth too. I cut it out with a scalpel.
The ears were a bit trickier - the first one I wound GS around a piece of wire 'd pinned in place and then smoothed it out with a sculpting tool - all I do is keep licking the tool to kep it wet and the 'stuff smooths out pretty easily. The second set I just cut out like the tail and then used more 'stuff to mold it onto the head, again with a sculpting tool. Greenstuff is not my favourite substance! Way too sticky and hard to work with, how sculptors sculpt whole miniatures out of it I have no idea.

I've been getting into sculpting a lot more over the past few months and end up using a pocket knife for the majority of what I do. The flat surface lets me smooth things out with little fuss as long as the exact amount of necessary pressure is applied, but that's pretty strenuous sometimes as I'm sure you've experienced GS can be a pain sometimes. Mixing more or less of the hardener helps with the stickiness, but often not enough. In desperate times I've just over-sculpted then filed down to a smooth finish. You've given me stuff to try out though, thanks!

he went down a storm last night at the local GW store - reactions ranged from laugher, to shock, to disbelief, and in one case shame that the person in question knew who Pikachu is (he claimed that it was because he's a dad, but I reckon he's a Poke fan!)
