As a conservationist, I don't like seeing this kind of stuff happening. But if there's no law against it people will continue to abuse animals needlessly just to be dicks.
Hunting is an entirely different realm. Killing for sustenance is as old as time itself. While I don't hunt personally, I've got no problem with it. Abuse is another thing all together.

All this hunter bashing....
I hunt, yes its fun. I eat what i kill for a 2$ bullet and a 50$ processing fee you can get over 50 pounds of meat (thats a small deer btw), id like to see a grocery store top that return on investment.
It is enjoyable, there is some primevil (if thats the right word) thrill to hunting. I dont really enjoy the sitting in a blind for hours waiting for it to walk by. However stalking your prey and finally killing it is very enjoyable for some people.
Also it does help control the population, we have a 500 acre farm in north Louisiana, We used to have a hunting club of 5-10 guys that would hunt on the property, but it has since disbanded. It could take me a few days to find a deer then, now if it takes me more then a few hours im surprised.

$2 for a bullet. Hmm. Gold tipped 30-06 ammo or something rare? LOL.
I guess that's the gist of it. I can buy venison from certain meat markets but I'll pay 3-4x's more per pound than killing it myself and having it processed.

Remmington Ballistic Silvertips for a 7mm Magnum. Its a big gun for deer and silvertips dont fragment as bad. Less meat is ruined that way. Bigger game ill use ammo that fragment or mushrooms more so it does more damage, but for deer its overkill with that powerfull of a rifle and just ruins meat.

Ah, gotcha.
I use an M1 Garand for hunting. Great hunting rifle (go figure huh) and very accurate.
They are available in a .308 but mines chambered in the original 30-06. It's not ever seen a battlefield so I'm not ruining a collectors item. I just enjoy hunting with it.

That's because 2 posters on Dakka get erections from attacking my posts.
I have one on ignore; the other may soon follow. It's not my fault I have a stalker/obsessed fan.

Dude, what's your issue? Tonight is the first night you seem to feel you need to throw in your 2 cents about my posting in threads. Show me one thread ever that got closed where I attacked a post by Shuma or MGS or Dogma FIRST? I attack them when they attack me, and not their posts (which has gotten me a few vacations so now I just ignore flame bait posts). You are the one taking this thread OT so perhaps you should take your own damn advice.
Troll somewhere else jp. Your opinion about what happens to threads about my posts isn't welcome here. Feel free to start a "Fateweaver derails threads" thread and then bitch in there.

Oh where to begin...
For starters, at first I was not even talking to you. I was simply making a comment that threads that you post in seem to either go down in flames, or derail and you decided to chime in with your own view. To which I then replied that normally "it takes two to tango" as the phrase goes. You then proceeded to nose dive off the deep end into shallow water while attempting to play mod by dictating where I could and couldn't post. To which I can only sit here and laugh cause you have absolutely ZERO authority on these here forums.
Second...
Shuma, MGS and Dogma all have strong opinions... however they usually can back there arguments up in fact, or at the very least make a strong case and argue their point without resorting as you are to the tired old high school approach of adding four letter words and trying to play the blame game and make yourself out to be some kind of victim when in reality you are anything but one when things don't go as you had planned.
Last but not least....
You are not a mod. You never will be one. So stop trying to act like one. If you can't take the heat then maybe you should stop lighting fires in various spots all over the forum. Eventually you are going to get burned and will have nobody to blame but yourself.

Whatever.
I deal with enough bs favoritism from the mods when it comes to me vs anyone.
The ones attacking me are arrogant and cocky asswipes. I carry myself like they do and I'm the troll and derailer.
It takes a troll to know a troll. I'm done posting here. Guns are one thing I know about but even I can't post in gun threads without making enemies.
I'm beginning to think OT should disappear altogether. At least than my only nemesis would be HBMC (though I admire the guy unlike other trolls I know).
This thread is lame now. Ciao`.
