I like PA - I try to check it out once a week or so. Only other comic-type thing I look at is Zero Punctuation. After 6 months or a year or two pass I go back to CAD, PVP, and a couple of others and just gorge on the archives.

Lotsa good stuff out there, so little time to read it all!

I'm not like them, but I can pretend.

Eh, I breathe out hastily, but that's about it. Some of them are half funny, like the last airbender one.....Well, actually, I made it funny myslef by saying that nelson mandela was appa, but whatever.

I like Penny-Arcade. Sure, there a lot of jokes most people don't get, me included but sometimes they're just laugh-out-loud hilarious.

This one for example only works if you followed the story about the new Mortal Kombat "movie"
[jpg]http://art.penny-arcade.com/photos/896781189_mvdXP-L.jpg[/jpg]

It's a lot of context stuff. And one thing you just can't overlook is that Gabe is a great artist.

And I just don't get the flakk about CAD. Yes, there was the whole "Lilah-lost-the-baby"-Story but it's still a funny gaming webcomic.

PA is hit and miss really, but credit is due because they crank out three a week. Plus the PATV feature on their site is worth watching as it sometimes shows the odd process behind the comic itself.

Somewhere in south-central England.

If you like Penny Arcade it's worth looking at this blog.

The guy is an English teacher in Japan. He copied a bunch of PA strips with blank speech bubbles and got his pupils to fill in their own jokes.

The results are a bit mixed but interesting to read.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Also, Tycho's Blog posts, while really hard to understand most of the time, are still a lot of fun to read. IF you can understand them. xD

I don't understand either... I mean, it was character development...

Take LICD, for example (Least I Could Do). It was a comic about sex, and then it has started to change into a more general humor comic. Rayne got a high paying job, people are getting married, they started to age, etc, but as far as I know, no one has complained about it...

I think PA is mostly miss, but those comics that are funny are down right HILARIOUS.

Red Meat is pure awesomeness.

At my university they have The Onion newspaper and it has a Red Meat comic at the back.

I enjoy both PA and CAD... I dunno, I guess I just find the jokes funny. There have been PA ones that I didn't get though - mostly cause I haven't been keeping up w/ a lot of videogame news recently.

The obvious solution is only read the stuff Ryan Sohmer does.

Least I Could Do, Looking For Group, and The Gutters.

Sometimes the humour in Penny Arcade depends too specifically on what they are currently playing or whatever, but I still think it's a pretty good webcomic.
On the discussion of good and consistently funny webcomics, I think I gotta mention www.smbc-comics.com A comic every day, usually really funny. Have a look, you won't be sorry. Remember to hover your mouse over the big red circle at the bottom of each comic, there's usually a secondary punchline that pops up there. Smbc is my favourite webcomic.

Not really caring for The Gutters as of yet. The first one was hilarious, the rest have been kinda meh.

His other stuff is hilarious though.

I didn't really get into LFG, though the "The Orphenage attacked me, it was self-defense" line is great.

Virtual Shackles is also quite good for a gaming comic:

Wait, this one's better:

I'm not going to lie, if it wasn't for Richard, Cheif Warlock of the Brothers of Darkness, Lord of the 13 Hells, Master of the Bones, Emperor of the Black, Lord of the Undead, and Mayor of a little village up the coast (Very scenic in the springtime. You should come visit sometime.), I probably wouldn't read it. Though I do like how it has become more serious instead of the joke-a-comic it was right off the bat.

Killkrazy has listed some of my favourites, but there's also:

Sinfest
Skin Horse
I was Kidnapped By Lesbian Pirates from Outer Space
Subnormality
Devil's Panties
Goblins
Girl Genius

And my current favourite: Lovecraft is Missing.

Incidentally, any fan of Muertitos and Gorgeous Princess Creamy Beamy should check out the author's new book.

Penny arcade is funny in my opinion because of how it points out the bizarre aspects of video games, or in other cases is just very immature.

Other webcomics that I find funny are:
Dr. McNinja
Questionable Content
Ctrl-Alt-Del
Piled. Higher. Deeper. (PHD)
Cyanide and Happiness

actually at the moment he has been doing the Sillies less often than the main comic.

Questionable content is easily my favourite comic. Five strips a week, comedy, character development and really noticeable art development.
