Machine gun turret!

If you took the regular rifle and cut the top part out and moved it forward, it would have the shape of a Halo Assault Rifle.

Those of you who may be waiting for a pink Halo Grymn to turn up...it ain't gonna happen ...I have run out of pink paint and I am not going to mix any in case I need to paint more than one...

The gun comment is completely valid 'Mewiththeface' but I'm not really looking for super accuracy, more a nod towards the style...but I'll bear it in mind if I decide to do proper sized ones.

For those interested in the little gatling-gun, it is a resin miniature from Maxi-Mini Miniatures...unfortunately they are sold out at the moment...but that will likely change.

I love that little MaxMini gatling gun. I'm thinking of getting some for my Guard. Great stuff dude, great stuff!

Red/purple= Eversor assassin
Yellow= servitor with plasma
Green= count as marbo?

How many were you aiming for in the end? 10?

There will be a driver and gunner in the 4x4, the dropship will have some crew but apart from that, I'm more or less finished with the squad itself...

...but there is always ODST...and I am sort of tied to building a platoon of those, all in grey and cammo'd up...

I love 'em. The only thing I'm not too fond of is the basing. It looks almost unpainted.

I keep the bases plain because I like them like that...they have bumps and plenty of sand on them and, in the flesh, they look OK (nothing spectacular...but OK). I have got other projects with resin bases but these are desert based...how interesting is the desert? I prefer to spend my time on the minis rather than the bases...In the future, I am looking to start putting them all on clear perspex...that way I don't have to worry about the bases at all!

On to other things...Not HALO but Grymn so sort of on-topic ...

I started this one yesterday...he's Erik 'The Bear' Freyasson and is chief of military staff for the Grymn high council (the painted Grymn is there for scale):



His hands are a little large and his pose is a bit stiff but he had to be finished quickly so I'm fairly happy with the overall result .
